We discuss, learn and understand the lessons and consequence that come from violence.
About Violence | Ep. 19 Vincent Rocco Vargas
This week on the @about_violence Podcast, we are joined by Vincent Rocco Vargas (@vincent.rocco.vargas).
VINCENT VARGAS served 4 years of active duty in the United States Army, including 3 combat deployments with the 2nd Battalion of the elite 75th Ranger Regiment. In 2009, he became a Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security and served as a Medic with the Special Operations Group. Vargas is a successful entrepreneur, actor, writer, producer and motivational speaker. Vincent Vargas is happily married with eight kids and resides in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
I never imagined being in the position to share this story. However, as border security continually makes headlines across the country, it seems more important then ever to shed light on the reality of the Border Patrol and the complexities of immigration.
Drawing from my personal experiences as a combat veteran, Federal Agent with the Department of Homeland Security, and third-generation Mexican American, I felt it was crucial to offer an unbiased perspective. Officers on the border often face contraints when expressing their views on controversia topics, including the challenges they encounter in the field. The media also tends to manipulate thoese narratives to serve their own agendas, influencing public opinion in different ways.
In Borderline, my goal is to take you, and readers everywhere, on an enlightening journey, unraveling the inticacies and challenges of a frequently misunderstood profession. I want to shed light on the flaws within our current immigration system, which requires significant transformation, while also shedding light on the Border Patrol's elite special operations teams and the value they bring to our borders.
My sincere hope is that, as you delve deeper into this story, you develop deeper respect for those who safeguard our nation, while comprehending and empathizing with the motivations of immigrants drawn to the luminous opportunities the United States provides.
By exploring our nation's immigration policy, I believe we can equip ourselves with the necessary knowledge to spark the crucial changes this system needs. Through eeducation and understanding, we can transcend the role of passive observers and become active catalysts for a fair and compassionate society.
Let us know what else you'd like to hear us talk about!

Timmy's integrity is over 😂😂😂
11 bang bang ⚔️💥🟦
Yall caught how Timmy corrected his answer by little boying him
What is the 75 grenade regiment??
Bring it back!
Who tf is WE, Tim?
Please shave Tim.
🇺🇸❤
Rolling with Tim. LIES
I dated a Ranger. Fierce doesn’t sufficiently describe him.
Suggestive...
Love it when dude asks a question then just proceeds to answer himself!!! Little but ego driven ....all theae dudes are huge egomaniacs..kinda comes with territory i think.
losing war after war
Sounds like a Marine to me
When seals are trapped behind enemy lines they dont send the marines to go get them they send the army 75th ranger regiment son
Ol’ boy knew Timmy was trolling and was trying his best not to laugh at him!!!! Hahaha!!!
Liar liar bums on fire
“You’re raised in a culture about fighting.” Sean Strickland will now call out all Ranger batts.
Rangers are not a bunch of stud killers, they shoot 80 year old Afghani men who brought us chow up on the OP and tried yo claim he "moved aggressively"...then they had the stupid idea that after ensuring that our chow situation was good and befuckled that I was obligated to feed them from our MRE supply, how'd that go you tick turds? Go sit on your extraction site and don't even look at us, you aren’t worthy to look on real soldiers
Tim is trolling
Rangers lead the way, this one by lying his ass off about everything.
I am ex uk para reg nothing like a big headed American
Everything should be "Best In The World ; Most Lethal On The Planet "... There are other "Most Lethal" special forces around the world too, America.
With what experience?
@sirsaltytampon4379 Jungle warfare, for one.
@@shanggosuave1891 Vietnam war, next question
@sirsaltytampon4379 Americans lost. Had to retreat.
@@shanggosuave1891 absolutely. It was a huge political loss that we and the NVA both signed the Paris peace accords. Nonetheless that doesn't take away the experiences learned in that war. Again, next question.
Peace Time.
Tim loves to exaggerate 😂 he’s so full of shit
Tim is now the country’s biggest embarrassment😂..hey tim your pants are on fire!
Rangers are meant to out-marine the Marines.
I’ll take Tim Kennedy is a goddamn liar for 1000 please Alex.
You've opened up a can of worms Yank! Both the UK Parachute Regiment and Royal Marines would have something to say about that! And if the US Army Rangers would've fought against the Argies during the Falklands War in 1982, then the Argies would've won!!
I've never served this country , but my father raised me to be a patriot that's for damn sure
What about “the unit”?
Which unit? I can name about 3 units that only go about the name “the unit”.
“What are we now?” I’m no scientist, but I’m pretty sure Timmy was never a Bat boy.
If memory serves me right I believe he was both, a Green Beret and in the 75th
@@WanderingPassportshe def was not. Lol.
Which makes it even more badass how much props he is giving them right?
hes joking about how sof units lost their original mission set and all became direct action during gwot
God Bless Our Rangers, Our Entire Military and their Families. Many THANK YOUS FOR YOU SERVICE AND LOVE OF COUNTRY. 🇺🇸👍💪🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Good unit to be fair. Worked with few, British actually had them couple of centuries ago, I learnt couple of yrs ago. Long before this new set up in 2021 weve established
Vincent miss you bro, can't wait to see you at my wedding.
They the Army’s version of the Marines, but softer 😊
You got it real twisted. The Ranger regiment is the top tier of Infantry Combat.
Blasphemy comparing Rangers to marines only marines SF units can hang in there.
@@geraldg350 "marine SF"... hahahahaha, that's a good one. The corp wasn't part of SOCOM for never. Then one day suddenly they wanted to have a small unit in the party. lol.
😂😂😂 Troll!!! Rangers exist because Marines need a role model to aspire to!
@@Rico11bActually the Marines never wanted to be part of USSOCOM and still doesn't. The Marines at the top have never supported MARSOC and have been looking for every opportunity to get rid of it. MARSOC was only created after Donald Rumsfeld gave them a direct order to create it.
Redemptions Army Now Gods Enforcers Righteousness Sake
Timmy just rolling, rolling the grenades and his medals around 😂😂😂
@elanmorintedronai9562 Tim is an damn liar for majority of his shit. I know Tim very very well, he is on the level of Tonto at the lower bar. At least Tonto is a MF that's respected. Shrek, Tucker, plus vast Delta Force Community knows he's full of shit. IF God damn Shrek calls you out, you know your a shit sandwich. Considering Shrek is a recovering phycopath
They call him Timmy Tall Tales
Utrinque Paratus
Rangers are marine infantry in disguise
Why did they send the seals not the rangers for sadam or osama?
Rangers aren't tier 1 (Not saying they couldn't have done this op) . It would have either been CAG or DEVGRU. DEVGRU got the job due to Afghanistan being DEVGRU's AO whereas CAG was focused on Iraq. Going by what Shrek has said...whether or not it's true regarding CAG turning down the Bin Laden operation due to the lack of intelligence remains to be seen.
Sye tim trying to make some cash again
Basically US equivalent of UK commandos
More like SFSG
Ok how much exactly did they get wrong on the Anti Hero podcast? This is sticking my friend. Most people can’t grasp why they’re doing it. They’ll think everything you say is a lie. You gotta get specific friend. And I thank you for your service. You’re a Goddamned hero regardless. The “it’s a lie 4 $ at the expense of ur fellow heroes that’s sticking.
They got zero wrong on the podcast.
@@jeffereyperez1774 Because you were THERE for every instance talked about? Come on bud. THEY weren't there.......
Ask shrek about that. Lol
Shrek is a Ranger
@@lonergr3107he got injured jumping out of plane
Actually, Rangers have been around for a very long time. Rangers were not paratroopers until after the 2nd World War. If i remember my Ranger history from my RIP days correctly, I think only L co Rangers who came under the 101st Airborne/ Air assault during Vietnam did extensive Air ops. It wast until October 1983, 1st and 2nd Bat jumped low level into the island of Granada the Airborne runway seizure mission larger than a Co. Was born. C co 2nd 75 wpt plt 84 to 87 baby.
Damn homie
USBP class 226/2 LRT-LRS station 1988-1989 USBP patrol agent 1990-1997 USBP K-9 Officer series 1896 US Cudtons series 1811 1997-, USDOJ 1811, USDOT 1811, US state dept case officer
Ranger the F up! 💪🇺🇸
Yeah but can you carry 50 grenades? Tim I hope they pull your tab. You’re a disgrace to special forces.
Sounds like Marine infantry
It’s not marines go to rangers school so please stop you’re not on the same level
marine infantry are still just conventional infantry rangers are special operations and under socom you can't compare them at all marine grunts are definitely a step below sof units respectfully
They literally just described every 0311
Marines always trying compare themselves. You can insert Army infantry in there but we know they can do it better
Nope, they didn't! If you even have a dream that 0311 is equal to a Ranger Regiment, you better wake up and apologize.
Rangers are in existence because Marines have to have someone to look up to.
