yes!! there are some extra things in playthrough with toddlers that you can only get with dlc but toddlers are base game

All I will say is "anadius Sims 3" Personally, I chose to buy just the base game and take it from there

A few folks have already replied - but yes toddlers are base game in sims 3! They were in the base game right from launch too!! Extra DLC and store content just enhance the experience a little 🥰

I AGREE!! It’s funny how the devs originally cited improving performance as the reason for axing the open world too - yet now sims 4 tends to chug as hard for me as sims 3 does 🥲

@YasminsCorner bahahaha. It's TOO tempting. Something what I do, since you get like 2-3 at a time when you cut it yourself, is I keep a few on my lot as decoration so my bills go up too. Then I feel less bad about selling the others.

@@YasminsCorner try It! I had Polley Malloney from Bridgeport write only romance novels and that got her from the poorest sim in Town to a big mansión.

Me too! This sim is a technophobe, so it’s great for still being able to access the writing skill while not having her get a bad moodlet constantly from the PC 😅

Hey Dawn, hope you’re well! Thanks for watching 🥰 I agree about the town hall element: I really wished the devs would decide whether or not they would consistently implement features like this! Such a valid approach to taking to buying the pack too: I wouldn’t have purchased it this early if I wasn’t planning on making content on it! If your not buzzing about every feature, definitely wait to pick it up when it’s heavily discounted down the road! I also should have considered your viewpoint on the undertaker career: the lesser level of involvement is great if you are playing in bigger houses. I guess I was very microscopically focused on it for this review 😅 thanks again for commenting!

I play a lot of story telling custom careers especially for secondary household members (as I like to call them) so sometimes its good to just be able to say Dad’s a Carpenter but not have to do much with him. In a way its good pack balance to have a minimal involvement career and an active one. They got a lot right with this pack, but like you I am like ‘now can we make this a consistent effort with EPs!’

Ah okay, I’m very glad to hear that the less hands-on aspect of the career could actually be a benefit for players who lean towards your play style! I guess I don’t often get to the point where my households are very full in sims 4 😅 but yes again: fingers crossed for more consistency in quality going forward for sims 4 packs!!!

@YasminsCorner I was playing on a cc world called kit island; but funny enough the family with the multiple skin colors I had originally made them for dragon valley - that's where their own main story line was. But my writer sim, I wanted her to live in the lighthouse on kit island so I filled it with sims from my other worlds. I completely agree with this. The 4 listed are definitely just the 4 I use the most. 😂 love them all too.

Ah that sounds like such a cute idea!! I’ve not heard of that CC world so I’ll have to check it out 🥰 and yes honestly I will never get tired of how much more in-depth sims 3 skills are over sims 4 ones! I think I’ve realised that I prefer depth over quantity when it comes to gameplay for sure😅

@YasminsCorner do check it out! It's so brilliant for such a tiny world. Only thing it's missing is a diving lot and it would have been beyond perfect. Totally agree on depth vs quantity.

I would do sims 4 bb, calendar, clubs and occult skill trees, sims 3 graphics, CAS, colorwheel (i dont need the patten chooser), collecting, skill journals, and most other things tbh and sims 2 hobbies, sound design and attention to detail. 😇😅

And sims 1 magic + show biz !!

I do love playing challenges like rags to riches and stuff like that but I’m bad at completing them 🙈 I decided to keep things simple for this review so I could fully focus on the gameplay 🥰 also from your other comment - I use an elgato wave 3 microphone and record with a pillow under the mic try dampening echo (sooo professional 😂) thanks again for your lovely comments!!🧡

I’m currently working on a big review video for the pack, and you make some good points here: I hadn’t thought about how similar the reaper career was to the detective one from get to work … I think I’ve had to take the stance of: I’m judging this as a sims 4 pack, which sits as it’s own category you know. Oh to be back in the sims 3 days 🥲🫠

Hi Angie! So… as far as I know, you can’t revive any of them (but that would be cool and make for a way more detailed quest!). I noticed that you could add Edith to your household when you shift click her - but I haven’t tried this yet as I don’t know how it would impact other aspects of the game. If you try it - definitely back up your save before hand in case you get any serious bugs!!✨ (Edit sorry! You definitely can befriend Edith at least! It’s worth doing as she can then give you her mark - which gives you a big boost when you use the wishing well 🥰)
