Hey man, great video. Quick question for you. I've just bought a brand new onward 6passenger gas. Top soeed is about 25mph. Today, after driving at top speed for abot 1/4 mile, it lost all power and started smoking like crazy. I pulled over, no leaks or anything. It ran fine after this, as long as ivwasnt at top speed. On the way back home it did it again, and again as soon as i slowed down a little bit, it ran fine. Any ideas? Im obviously going to call the dealer, but I'm hoping it might be something quick so i dont have to take it into the dealer.

whar kind of effect does that have on the golf cart battery? have you thougt about adding an accessory battery just to power the amplifer?

Hi there I got a brand new cart my first one. A ‘25 Icon G40 I was hoping to adjust the governor since I’m using it around the neighborhood but not sure how. Do you have any experience with these carts? It’s definitely capped at 24 mph as of now even downhill. Thanks in advance

Do you loose Bluetooth calling option?

First time buyer here. I have pretty much settled on an Evolution D5 Ranger. Problem is that where I live (Ocala, FL), there is only ONE Evolution dealer that I have found. I'm stuck with them.

Do you loose Bluetooth calling feature?

I know you loose some features, but do you also loose bluetooth calling options from cart?

Where is all of the cool accessories like Under Lights, Speaker Amp Upgrade, etc…..

I have an older DS model with the 290cc Kawasaki. I just zip tied the governor and then increased the max rpm from 3600 to 4200. I now get to 31 mph. I also put a 3 inch lift kit with larger radial tires. Now I have to figure out how to make the steering tighter and more accurate to complement the higher speeds.

Great (and funny) review. One thing that bothers me is that I am 5'10" and I feel cramped in the driver's seat in relation to the pedals. Other than that - I'm sold. I may look at a Ranger though.

Probably better w a Sonus type Bluetooth speaker set up which wouldn’t kill a lot of the functionality on the touch screen.

How about a video showing the turn radius of the cart and Tag-along? Perhaps using a drone to show the turn radius from above, while turning both left and right. How about some type of entry steps on the cart and the Tag-Along to help those of us with physical issues that preclude us from stepping up onto raised platforms? Thanks.

Great review thank you. The D5 seems to be the safest for me and my family the pluses certainly outweigh the minuses. The range is a little disappointing when you go out for a ride with 4 adults once you get to the 15 mile range start thinking about how far away is home or changing ability. Luckily does not happen to often overall very pleased!!!

I installed mine. However, I receive a non stop piercing tone whenever my cart is on. What can be done to get rid of this tone. And yes the tone even when the music is playing.

Looking to upgrade my 2003 EZ GO TXT to three 100amp Battleborn batteries, they say I need a governor on my golf cart to use their batteries. EZ GO states my cart doesn't have a governor and they don't sell one for my cart. No other battery upgrade states I need this. should I just just got with another manufacturer, forget about the upgrade, or just ignore their salesman advice? Note: I already have two fairly new Battleborn batteries.

Your local golf cart dealer hates carts sold at Wal Mart or Lowes! They will not work on them, or if they do they will charge you triple. Forget about getting parts of off brand carts. Coleman does not make them and the only business they do is sell the "Coleman" name to other companies. They don't even make lanterns! These new carts are very sophisticated and dealers use laptops to analyze problems on line with manufacturers service department. This ain't no 1982 Club car you fix with a 5/8's socket on a pry bar and a sledgehammer.

I think one of the main reasons ppl are buying evolutions or venoms or anything else Chinese is not just based on cost, altho that’s certainly a factor. For me, ClubCar, ezGo and all the Big 3 cart manufacturers’ carts are just so boring looking. I’ve yet to find an American made cart that looks cool. On my end, I’m trying to decide between a venom, gorilla or evolution. I’m leaning towards the Gorilla 6- seater which is about as bad ass as you can get. No US manufacturer even comes close on design to these carts. The 2 dealerships I’m speaking w both have 4.9 ratings and terrific reviews. I see guys drive up in a clubcar and just looks like my grandfathers golf cart😊
