Finally had the chance to shoot this load last weekend. The cost of 1.5 ounces of tss $3.75- 3 flattened canadas pass shot with a 28 gauge-priceless! Awsome load- no more switching loads when geese show up.

How do you clean the inside of the hull. When I insert the primer there seams to be dirt or something blocking the primer.

SO I've watched all your videos and have a questions as I load my first reloads. I'm going to duplex steel and TSS like you do. I don't have a comprehensive steel shot manual, but online I found a bismuth load from the cheddite manual (20 gauge, cheddite hull and primer, lil gun powder (33 grains), csd20 wad, 1 oz bismuth, 10 grains buffer). My question is, can I substitute in steel/tss and filler wad for the bismuth, and remove the buffer? the wad is steel rated. I realize we're all suppose to stick to the recipe's, but there's limited data for duplex so I think most people are substituting TSS in existing recipes while keeping shot weight equal. Thanks for all your videos.

I’ve had the same on foreign factory far too hot load very heavy crimp end of cartridge totally destroyed. Cut the end off and roll crimp I find the 410 deadly

The CX2000 primers in Fio hulls I can push in with a finger. Probably ok in my 28ga O/U ?? Or should I just re-prime with Fio616 ?

It would look a lot better with a European style stock.

Bullet, after watching your 28ga videos I'm ditching the CZ AllTerrian Upland Ultralight 12. What would be your choice of an affordable 28ga if you could only own 1. 3" not necessary, I'll use duplex. Thanks

Im having an issue getting a good crimp with the new 3" Fiocchi hulls , i do run the Super crown crimper and im just not having any luck getting anything close to what your getting . Any help on this would be great i can also send pics of my crimps that im getting if thag helps .

I’ve seen similar Wads in some Boutique Turkey TSS Loads. They weren’t TPS Wads and the company wouldn’t tell me exactly what wads they were either, Ancient Chinese Secret 🤐🤣🤣🤣. Also, what company can lengthen the chamber on one of my 28 gauges ?

I think both of these loads would work exceptionally well for what they’re designed to do. I’d like to see the #3 steel shot with a Light Modified or maybe an another aftermarket choke.

Check the references. For all gauges EXCEPT 410 you pattern at 40 yards inside a 30 inch circle. Passing is not being able to pass a clay target anywhere in the circle without getting hit by 2 pellets. HOWEVER for 410 the STANDARD is 25 yards and a 25 inch circle. That being said, all that was figured out years ago with old loads and fixed full or modified chokes. With the introduction of TSS and Briley chokes and buffer and better wads you can now kill turkeys at 40 yards. You need to pick your gun, your choke, your distance and tweak your load to maximize.

What wad are you using? Are you concerned that the pellet stack is over the top of the wad or are you packing the pellets in there tight and crossing your fingers?

These load up really good. I bought the metal precrimp also it works great. I took the mec out of the box and didn’t have to adjust anything. Makes great crimps. Thanks!

I just ordered some TSS have plenty of primed hulls and like roll crimping with a GAEP. Buck Snort is either in the pan or in Intensive Care with that load.

I always wondered about steel ball bearing loads! I love steel over lead..... ONLY because steel don't deform as easy. Prefer to find .35" - .36".... .35" is equal to 9mm and 9.5mm is equal to about 3/8". Would a 3/8" or .36" or a 9.5mm steel ball work? That's like (5) 9mm bullets in a 3" .410 shell...... You are not using paper discs or sealing them shells. so I guess you will not be storing them for very long.

Are you still using/happy with this setup? I just bought an Argus tail for this purpose

60 to 80 feet for a pattern , just think of a fox squirrel at the top of a big old hickory 60 to 80 feet tall. 😊

Can the wad be trimmed down, and the shell shortened for a 3/4 oz load? Or is it better to add space inside the wad like a round piece of cardboard. I ordered everything for a text book 1oz load of 8 shot in my 28 gauge. Just curious. Thanks

Awesome Video as always. I’m about to start loading for my 410 using one of your Duplex loads. I want to do the same with my 28ga. but I can’t find ANY TPS Wads. Will the 28ga. HV Wads work for a TSS / Steel Duplex Load W/O causing any damage to my Barrels. If not can you point me in the right direction to find something I can use? Thanks for your time and help.

I always carry my chokes and wrench with me. Just in case i need more or less.

I have 2 28ga's. One is 2 and 3/4 & the other is 3". Depending on who you talk to my 3" really isn't a 3". Lol

hello and thank you for the video, quick question for you, once adjusted and using a short kit, do the de-primer/resizing thingy need to be adjusted when changing from 3 to 2 3/4?

In your Honest opinion, do you think Bismuth worth the money to Load and Hunt with?

The fragmentation pin pricks are most likely rebound from the backing plate. You need to buffer bismuth for best results
