Could you remove the air stone disk from the plastic? And clean it ?
Can’t tel a bloody word your going on about 🤨
Good morning Rob, I have just watched you very useful video from a couple of years ago. I am putting in 2 float switches . The one to the bog filter works fine. However the second one is going into a variable pump like yours. I have tried wiring the four core part by putting earths, neutral and black together then live as per videos and just get an error message on the variable box. If I wire it before the box which is 3 core I get no power to the variable box. Any advice gratefully received
Just what I was looking for. Thanks for explaining the wiring.
Today i am buying the Nexus 320 and I have a pump fed pond. We need water pressure for the circulation inside the Nexus. If I mount the Sieve filter higher can I get the required water pressure inside the Nexus...? Let me know something if it's possible.thnx
I would say if you amount to sieve high enough, gravity will take over and will push the water through fast enough rate to operate the nexus. Hope this helps
Thanks for this . Just about to order . You should be on commission 🙂
Your welcome
Question..... When you test for say KH..... do you count the drops from the point the water turns blue to yellow 🤔 Or...... do you include the drops needed to turn it blue 1st ???
Hi, hopefully you can help me out. I want to use a HIBlow 60 pump. I'll use 75' of weighted line in the water. I also would need 75' of something a little cheaper to run from the pump to the water. Any suggestions? Also, I'm confused about hose diameter. What size ID would be right for my setup? I can locate the difusser anywhere from 3-6' of water. Thanks in advance.
Hi I used clear hose from my air pump to a one way vale then connected to the weighted hose, the hose I/d is 9mm hope this helps.
I thought evolution aqua mentioned the uv doesn't need to be off when cleaning or has some people had problems ? Also is it weather proof of have you boxed it in ?
I have alway turned it off just incase it overheats, the eazypod complete is weather proof so doesn’t have to be covered.
Don't work pumping to sieves mate. You are liquifying solids and it becomes hard to settle the finings without a sand/bead filter ,I am a pond builder by the way.
Hi Chris i here what you are saying but you can say that for most pump fed filters. All I can say in my defence is that all the time I was using it my water was crystal clear and almost perfect water tests.
Hello I need some help with electrical wiring I have built a cupboard to contain the wiring for a pond but need to know how to wire it up. I have put a float cut off in the pond but need to connect it up. Any one got any diagrams that will aid in this? I have power cable coming into cupboard I am plugging 3 pumps into the pond on an extension gang . So I need to connect the extension lead up to the power and the float cut off. Not sure how to wire it up. I have some blocks any advise would be helpful. Power lead float cut off 6 gang extension lead.
Hi I ran armoured cable from my house to the koi pond then wired it into a weather proof switch, the power goes in one side and you can wire everything on its own switch. If you want to see what I used go on eBay and type in item number 202203360066. Hope this helps
Thank you 🙏
Thank you for posting this useful video. I'm looking to add air stones to my set up and didn't realise how easy and cheap it was. Much appreciated!
Glad you found it helpful.
Great video mate
Hi, could you tell me where you bought this bottom drain from? I've looked everywhere but can't find them. Also, without the air attached.
Got it off eBay, they sell both with or without the air hose. Just search retrofit bottom drain 👍
Can you link the supplies you used ?
Dag hoeveel keer moet je bakki shower uit kuisen een maal per week of per maand ik weet het niet bedankt voor je reactie
Comments are turned off on your latest video ? Anyway weather you stick with the eazypod or you've managed to get your hands on a nexus 210 / 220 / 220+ if you're sticking with pump fed there is a AquaForte compact sieve or SuperSieve pump that are half the size or less of the ultrasieve III that you might fit in your shed plumbed in the same way as before cutting maintenance even on a 220+ best to get these things in winter before they sell out or go up in price 👍
Brilliant idea rob 👍👍👍
Thanks for the info. At the moment I've got an extension lead running my pond at the moment until I get the main electrics in. I'm guessing i can attach the float switch on the extention before anything connects to it. Would that work for now?
Hi should be fine matey 👍
Hi do u leave them on 24hours even in winter thanks steve
Hi Steve, lots of people leave the air on 24/7 365 days a year, mine is on a timer it’s on from 8am until 8pm all year round.
@@robprice4095 thanks
Some nice koi mate water looks crystal clear 👍👍👍
Thanks, the water quality has been a lot better since the introduction of the bakki shower.
need help have pond one air pump fitting 18mm I need to adapt to 8mm air pipe any ideas? The pump came with a rubber tube that is about 18mm but can not seem to find a fitting for my large air stone that has a 8mm pipe.
Very loud pump. Nice pond.
Hi Mason, that pumps history now got a nice quiet one 👍
That should be it now that you don't want your air to shut off you'll wake up with dead fish if they have no air
Hi, thanks for your concern but I’ve kept koi for years. I have approximately 30 koi in my pond, I only run the air from 8am until 8pm it’s on a timer, I also have a ring camera looking over my pond so would see if there was any problems. I also run two 55watt uv’s so they would burn out with no water flow.
Is the dechlorinator filter something you use only gor water changes or would i have to have it running constantly into my pond like an actual filter?
Hi it’s only used when I do a water change. Some people that do trickle in trickle out use it all the time 👍
Hi mate can you show me a picture of your portable sump with oxygen or tell me where I can get one please
Hi Sam, it’s called a retro fit bottom drain they sell loads on eBay, with or without the air. Hope this helps 👍
Thank you mate much appreciate
Nice video interesting that in theory your waxy pod is now gravity fed and released in theory ?
Great video,keep it up!🔊
What lph is that air pump
Hi the air pump is 80 Ltrs per minute, got it off eBay item number 401177004410 Hi BlowAir pump £99.98.
Thanks Rob.. Just got a used one and have to convert..I have kept fish and have multiple ponds but this type of filter is all new to me
Hi Chris, the eazypod is a nice simple filter to use, the one I have is secondhand with no uv. I think the uv on them is under powered so I fitted 2 x 55watt in line, these along with the pod keep my water in good condition.
@@robprice4095 Thanks Rob.. I dont use UVs but I get why people do.. Thanks for all your sound advice..
Good update. Like your plans for your new pond so will be watching with interest. 👍🐟🈲😊
Beautiful fish. I think i counted 25? How many gallons is the pond? Your going to need a RDF filter to keep it that clean during the summer feeding.
Hi Richard, the pond is 2275 gallons 10.300 Ltrs, I’ve got 25 fish did have 32 but gifted some to a friend. In the Sumer I flush the eazypod out every other day it keeps on top 👍
Looking good Rob. The water looks very nice and clear. I swear your fish have grown. Nice.
Thanks Lau, the water quality is down to the eazypod 👍
@@robprice4095 yeah they are good piece of kit. I have just installed one.
Nice one rob liking the plans mate 👍
Just watched your video on wiring a float switch to cut the power to the pond, not the pump, any chance of some pics, to show what coloured wires go where on the connector blocks cheers.
Hi Stephen, I’m in the process of moving my eazypod and all the electrical switches into the shed so I will do a video on the Electric’s.
I assume your mot running sieve to easy pod anymore ?
Hi Dan I had to take the sieve out because when I moved the shed I couldn’t get to it to clean it, I’m in the process of moving the eazypod into the shed along with all the electrics. I’m getting ready for next years rebuild of the pond.
👍👍😍
Handy reference video for changing to pump fed . Nice one mate 👍

Nice to see your new video Rob 👍 Decking will be nice when done. Looking forward to your pond rebuild videos next year 😀
Hi Rob 👋🏼 With the sodium thiosulfate you can make it in to a liquid dechlorinator by putting 125 grams in 1 litre of boiled water. The reason for using boiled water isn't to dissolve the crystals. It's to kill a common bacterial contamination of the soduim thiosulfate. It's said that the bacteria are harmless to koi but it will shorten the life of the stock solution. The stock solution dose rate is 10ml per 100 uk gallons. That is the dose rate for new water added and not the whole pond but as you cant overdose i usually dose for total pond volume. Sodium thiosulfate does remove chlorine but not chloramines so be sure what you have so you can treat accordingly. Take care matey 👍🏼
Thanks Tom, I didn’t know that 👍
Thanks for sharing 👍
Nice fish👍 interesting about the K3 as your water looks really clear so perhaps bigger is best. Enjoyed the vid. Stay safe👍🐟🈲😊
Hi where in Telford are you, I’m in Ketley 👍
@@robprice4095 No way, I’m in Muxton. You’ll have to come round for a beer and a look at the pond once it’s finished and the COVID restrictions have been lifted.👍😊
Definitely matey would love to see it up and running 👍
@@robprice4095 Great, you’ll obviously see when it’s up and running so (COVID permitting) let’s arrange something once it’s done.👍😊
Definitely Phil, and when my decking is finished you will have to come over and have a look at my pond before I change it next year 👍🍺
