Interviewer 'They make 1 picture a year and get 8 million dollars" Cagney "Yes, but how many more pictures do they make"? Spot on! James Cagney entertained us, not for one, or two or half a dozen movies.....but for decades....and still does today some 38 years or so after his death. Whatdoyouhear? Whatdoyousay? Legend.

I was there when CNN went on air for the first time (exact time unknown) oh wait the broadcast was maybe delayed 6-18 hours who knows. What does "live" mean anyway? 6pm EDT launch huh, wow that Braves/Dodgers game highlights they showed sure got over quick for a 9am west coast start time 😅 Great per this sizzle reel claim "WTBS and CNN are separate channels, and if you are currently watching CNN but your cable provider does not offer it, reach out so you don't miss a moment..." WTF!!!! Without the Satcom Lat/Long/Degrees so folks with a big dish can crank to right location as to confirm they are watching the "right" CNN, could have helped😅. Just wondering how many frats had evey time a CNN news piece that wasn't actually aired "Live" take a drink😂❤ The first hour of dedicated "Sports" coverage, in less than a span of 10 minutes 4 separate Sports Anchors each gave reports at the same location, that musta been some kind of record!!!!❤❤❤

It might be Spielberg’s best film? I love Raiders, Jaws, E.T., Last Crusade, Saving Private Ryan, etc. But I have actually watched Close Encounters more, and more in the theater than any other film of his.

Barbara was one of the most infuriating interviewers, but I guess that's why the public liked her. They like controversy, and she could ask the questions they wanted to know. I admire that Alan stood his ground and pushed back in a way that was very respectful while also being clear that he wasn't having even a suggestion of slander. I'd imagine people like her are the reason he wasn't doing many interviews at the time.

Cagney was from an age of polymath Entertainers who could do comedy and drama, sing an dance- not just competently, but exceptionally well. I think that era ended with Sammy Davis.
