As much as I want to hate the internet, I couldn’t get out of the shower at 4am and find such a gem without it. Oh the necessary evil we indulge in to find such fun and happy Jerry, mixed with some Santana, a late 80’s crowd and an accordion. The world is still lovely, even when it’s ugly.

Two true guitar legends! Ive had the pleasure of seeing Carlos a few times. Incredible still and always. Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of seeing Jerry live. Only after his passing. And im truly not impressed with the bands pick of trying to replace Jerry . John just doesn't have that vibe ! No one can never ! I'm truly blessed to have have listening to this true gods of music for years . And years ..and hopefully many more. 🎸🎸 🎶🎶 .

Back in the 70's got into quite a debate with someone on who's the better guitarist...Betts or Garcia. He was shocked that I'd even compare Garcia to Betts...Jerry was always sneaky good!

I love that many decades later we can enjoy this experience and many for the first time ever. This is what makes music beautiful.

It's been a bit over 2O yrs when I saw Buddy Guy walk out on stage with Santana , at an outdoor show.. ..it has to be in the top 4 out of the shows I've seen !

My goto barband when I was at Tulane 77-81. $5 cover, and usually played from 11 til 3Am!

Holy Smokes! Glad this showed up… I was at this show, in the basement of the Biltmore, and this exact show for there was an early and late performance. Saw all the cameras, etc. it was labeled as a HBO Cinemax Sessions benefit concert.. labeled “Caliente y Picante” featuring Reuben Blades, Celia Cruz,Jerry Garcia, Tito Puente, Linda Ronstadt, and Carlos Santana. I got there a little early and saw a little arched opening to the left of the stage and saw about 15 feet inside of it my 2 hero’s: Jerry and Carlos. So I went in to maybe chat and say thanks… patiently waiting for a break in their conversation (about 6 feet from the two of them and their guitars) I hear a deep voice saying, how did you get in here? I just pointed at the opening, and the guy suggested to go back that way…😂 wasn’t fond of the accordion player, though!! Closest I got to both my hero’s at the same time, MAGICAL ❤🎸🎸🔥💗🌊🏄‍♂️🌊😎
