Bought a 2024 Toyota Corolla le 2.0 and i noticed the sticker on yours calls for 0w-16 Oil and mine calls for 0w-8 Oil and i just crossed the 1000 mile mark so i had it changed to me it's best to get the Break in Oil out and to do Oil changes every 5 Thousand Miles.
I bought a pre-owned 2024 Toyota Corolla LE 8000 mi $20,000. With the remainder of the factory warranty.
@@thebestisyettocome4114 nice!
My 2012 Corolla has 191k miles
I was legitimately surprised how much cargo space the Corolla had, I checked one of these out a while back and really liked it. It had nearly as much trunk space as my 2016 Accord LX that i drive now, it currently has 218,000 miles on it and will be looking to replace it in a few years the Corolla is a pretty nice value for the money.
Just tape a small lead weight to the bottom left of the wheel, but on the upper part, inside the wheel so it's not it the way, then on straighish roads you can drive up to 20 miles without touching the wheel to please the nag alert.
Frankly, with the Hankook tires and the torsion beam, I personally notice the difference, coming from someone who had a 2015 Passat previous and drove a Corolla XSE rental for a month. Driving a relative's Prius every occasion, with the Michelin Primacys on there, that car feels almost like a Lexus to me.
Nice review, nice colors on your model.
The Break in oil change at 1 Thousand to Two Thousand miles is a good idea. Just bought the 2024 Toyota Corolla le "Underground Gray" in color, it has about 170 miles on it and i plan on doing a break in oil change as you did then another at 5 Thousand miles then every 5 thousand with the tire rotation at the Dealer wile it's under warranty. You are right about the noisy E Brake and i.'m sure you're hearing it more because its Garaged. I have no garage just a driveway but i do notice it. I will say this the reason i went with Toyota was because of the Launch Gear in the CVT Transmission but i will be doing the Fluid Change every 30 Thousand Miles because you cannot Drain the full amount of Fluid it's only a Parcel Fluid Change. It will most likely take me 5 to 10 yrs to put 30 Thousand miles on it because i am Retired and don't even drive 5 thousand miles a yr. Another reason why i went with Toyota is because i still have my Mothers 2001 Toyota Corolla CE who passed away yrs ago. 23 yrs old and it's still running fine. It has 80 Thousand Miles on it with some rust around the rear wheels. Good Luck with your Car i Subscribed to your channel to see how you are doing again Good Luck. PS Also follow the Car Care Nuts TH-cam Channel good source of Toyota information.
Congrats on the car! It's been a while since this video and I'm due an update for sure. We are already at 32k! My wife drives for work, and we have taken it on a few trips. No issues so far. I still intend to do oil every 5k - although I did stretch it to about 10k once. I also plan on the CVT drain and fill - sometimes in the next few thousands of miles - definitely by 40k. I also have a 2010 RAV4 V6 with 195k - it's still pulls hard, Anyway, thanks again for watching!
In Turkiye, it still comes with an independent double wishbone suspension system in all engine options..
I rented a 2024 corolla hybrid se and the ACC/LCA was miles ahead of the 2020 rav4 my gf's parents had. Few notable highlights. The car doesn't let off the brake pedal after traffic stops for a few seconds. No more LCA beeping every couple seconds because it can't find the lines. Might just be the hybrid but it uses the radar to sense cars at a stoplight so it ramps up regen braking to take advantage of charging the battery. Overall I never really considered a new toyota until now. ACC/LCA has come a very long way!
I’m Muslim and happy
Great video! 2024 Rolla SE owner here (not hybrid) - just got it and i'm about 500 miles in. Is it just me or is it always noisy under the hood? Especially at start and sometimes on idle.
Yeah, it's not the quietest. I attribute that to the direct and port fuel injection and the switching between that. Enjoy the car! We are almost at 35k miles and no problems!
Looks improved from my wife's 2020 Corolla. The lane trace just ping-pongs all over the lane. Nice.
what about android auto? you dont mention that. I dont use apple so i dont care about carplay
Please give us an update
Great real in life review!
Have you tried putting a clip on the steering wheel to simulate pressure? I'm curious if it would work.
@@farrellschultz1111 good question. I positioned a medal partial filled water bottle in the steering wheel on a long trip and yes, I can confirm that satisfies the pressure requirement. I didn’t touch the steering wheel for 15 miles in the highway. I can’t recommend doing that of course!
Cool I guess but also freaky, I enjoy driving so I prefer to do it all myself
This is exactly what I was looking for thanks for posting the video.
Helpful, thank you
Getting mine for a year(2024 model). It’s still refreshing to see it in the video!
Nice video! Straight to the point! Thanks.

Tell me is your 2.0 equipped with a timing Belt or a Chain? Waiting for my 2024 Toyota Corolla le to be delivered, same Engine. Thanks.
@@nobsatthistime it’s a chain
Just got a 2024 Corolla. The gas mileage is great and we don't drive a lot so we pay next to nothing for fuel now. I love the precise feel of everything about this car, the steering / handling, ride and braking, it feels very well made for an inexpensive car.
I think it’s criminal they threw wheel covers on even the LE! 🤦🏻♂️ what are you doing Toyota?
Very good and informative video. Nice car.
Eureka! Not that you are foolhardy like I am but I have investigated and researched and did the hard work; I now know how to bypass the time restrictions, at least for my 2021 Rav4, on Lane keeping (tracing). As you may know, if you take you hands off of the steering wheel for longer than about six seconds, the bitch in the box warns you to put your hands back onto the steering wheel and TURNS OFF lane tracing. Solution? Buy a small plastic bottle of Pom juice (the one that looks like a two ball snow man), drink the juice and then fill the bottle up with tap water. Place the bottle in the three o'clock position of your steering wheel, with the "waist" of the bottle resting on the cross bar. Test it out. It works for my Rav4, from the PA border all the way to I271 onI90. Look mom, no hands. I just monitored the lane tracing and traffic to stay safe. BE CAREFULL!!! My lane tracing looses concentration when white lines are weak or turn to black from tar. Only works with GOOD ROADS. Remember this song; I do "(All together now, one, two, three) (Keep you mind on your drivin') (Keep you hands on the wheel) (Keep your snoopy eyes on the road ahead) (We're having fun sitting in the back seat kissing and a-hugging with Fred) "
thanks for the video! it was really helpful for me :)
Can the adaptive part be disabled so it's just a constant speed cruise control? Handy in heavy snow when sensors get blocked.
Did it fully stop the car at the stop light? The dealership told me it will apply the brake but can't fully stop the car.
Can you please locate the PCV Valve.. I want to get an oil catch can 🙏🏻
I really think you should think twice about installing an Oil Catch Can on a newer Engine like this the Oil is so thin its like water.
Anybody tried comma/open pilot vs tss 3.0? I have tried tss 3.0 in a corolla and was very impressed. But I haven't tried open pilot. I also tried tss 2.5 in a rav4 not impressed at all.
I'm doing a drain & fill every 35,000 miles on the cvt. I think it'll help keep the parts healthy for the long term. It's a sealed unit and somewhat complex so the dealer can do that. Quote was $323.00
Looks like it's revving about 1300 / 1400 rpm at close to 60 miles an hour. To the average Joe like myself, that's good for gas mileage and low engine wear / stress and that's great.
There doesn't sound like a whole lot to complain about. Our 2024 Corolla ( in the same color ) will arrive at the dealership as early as next month. We're looking forward to it.
Awesome. We have 26,000 miles on it already. Still nothing to complain about!
2013 Corolla S has 248000 miles.Only used Mobil 1 0-20 oil.Change trans fluid 3 times.White paint is peeling off since 2015.
First oil change is supposed to be at 500 miles, when breaking in.
Of course nothing is in writing but that seems a little early.
Waiting for delivery of my new Ascent Petrol Sedan. Can’t wait
I took a full self driving Tesla for a demo and was blown away with the technology. I drive 43,000 kms /year and it's mostly highway driving and how nice it would be not to constantly be having to do all the input in the car. The problem with the Tesla is insurance (almost doubles my insurance) and being EV battery depletes over time.
Just bought me a black 2023 Corolla LE 2 weeks ago with 14k Miles on it.
Is there a upper control arm in this type of setup? If so i want to buy adjustable ones to add camber.
The US toyotas look way better than EUs
1:00 Adaptive cruise will come to a stop at a light, and resumes without driver input, if traffic resumes within a few seconds. (not even 15 seconds as proven in the video).
Apparently this is excellent technology especially when you are doing long distance driving like a long road trip. Apparently it reduces driver fatigue
what i know that small cars does not need that expansive suspension in the rear end its small car will not make any big deference compere with big sedan cars like Lexus or even kia k5 multi link suspension is much heavy and have many bushing all over and to renew the rear end suspension will cost a lot of money ,,, i have 2014 chevy impala with multi link rear suspension and now need renew guess the cost each rear arm cost around 150$ and its have 5 arm in each wheel 🙆♂
I had a 2020 SE hatchback manual with this engines & now have a 2024 SE Hatch with the CVT. My longevity concern is with the CVT. They are as expensive as a hybrid battery to replace ($6000+) but may not be as long lasting.
Any issues with the MT during your ownership?
Is it able to handle a clover leaf type turn, or do you need to take over for that?
can music be played while google map is on the screen...?
