Hello, Shiro is a Japanese-speaking white cat!
My goal is to create Japanese learning content with Shiro that truly benefits learners.
I create TH-cam videos in between my full-time job and my fall/winter teaching term at a college in the U.S., so I can usually post more videos in spring and summer. I genuinely appreciate all the people who kindly welcome me back when I post a new video even after months of silence. arigatou gozaimasu!

Shiro #1
Clear and concise. Thank you for all your videos!
こんにちわ, what is the difference between コンビニはホテルのちかくがあります and ホテルのちかくにコンビニがあります ? in 5:18 can we use コンビニはホテルのちかくがあります ? ありがとうございます。 ❤ also when to use this format XはY の location word です ?
こんにちは。「コンビニは ホテルのちかくに あります」 sounds like we’re talking about a convenience store and someone telling us it’s near the hotel. 「ホテルのちかくに コンビニがあります」 sounds like we’re simply stating the fact or what we saw. Yes, you can say コンビニはホテルのちかくにあります tin 5:18, but the translation will be more like “A convenience store is near the hotel”. You can use XはYのlocation wordですwhen you’re talking about X and want to tell where it is. Hope this helps. Arigatou gozaimasu:)

Then, how to say "I am waking up" ❤❤
konnichiwa! If someone is telling me "it's time to wake up!", then I'd say "ima okimasu" (I'm waking up now), "okitemasu" (I'm awake), etc. ☺
ありがとうございます。💙💙 You explained it very well

does these genki lessons help in jlpt exam ? and how much lesson will need for n5 level? btw love your video , its so fun and easy to study with your videos. ありがとうございます せんせい。 ❤
Arigatou gozaimasu! It’s said that genki book 1 covers 99% of N5, so I’d say genki lessons definitely helps in JLPT exam. Study hours to pass N5 would depend on many factors but some say that 350 study hours is needed for students with kanji knowledge and 450 hours for other students.
ありがとうございます。
I learned something new today. Thank you very much!
