Never use a stone grinding wheel on aluminum, cut the bulk away with a coarse hack saw blade smooth with a deburring bit or coarse file. Is it possible to raise the transmission up and still have it remain parallel with the diff pinion shaft?

Lol! Missing a shock... Shocking! I remember when a customer came into my Dad's shop complaining about availability of shock absorbers for his old Ford. My Dad had me get the ladder and get a set off the shelf. They were stored there having been mover from my Grandfather's shop years prior! The customer's jaw hit the floor!

I was thinking about the grade three bolt's on them main caps I would of thought thy would of put case harded grade six in to hold them main caps but I've never messed with no flat head motors can't be much to this motor it's only got three main bearings in it to begin with I guess they built the country with them back in there hay days Ford was the go too vehicle and power plants if that crank shaft balanced out right It may hold up not sure what r p m s it's going be spinning any way good luck bringing it back to work

Are those grade 3 bolts ? Couldnt find after market ARP main cap bolts ,i honestly dont know ,thats way im asking ,gave away both flathead v8 i had
