Just FYI, the MCG is really the home ground for the Hawks (Bulldogs usually play at Etihad Stadium IIRC), but the finals are weird with how "home" grounds are chosen. Great video though! (first I've watched of yours)

Inconsistency seems to be the word that best sums up this season. Some teams had poor starts, yet came good & others started strong before fading out. At this point, it's hard to predict who will make the GF, let alone win it.

Great observations: hawks slowing it down set up then slingshot plus the dogs started to play too carefully at times.

Was at the game and the atmosphere was amazing at nearly 98000 strong crowd...mainly Hawks supporters. Young and brash and playing without experience nor fear. Long time Hawks member and this is an exciting brand of footy. Good take on the game. Well done.

Absolutely shattered! I tend to agree that our coach seems to let things play out in games rather than making a move to adjust to the situation. Having won only two of our last eight games in the home and away season shows how decimated our list was? Having said all that if we can stay fit next year maybe things will be different? If not then the knifes will be out for the coach no doubt! If the lions don’t start kicking straight then they are no chance! You must take your chances! @@baggerdave Sorry bout the Blues Dave! As I said in the vid, my NY Rangers had hired a coach(Gerard Gallant) that was known for winning and restructuring teams into winners. He proved his winning ways immediately by going 56 games above .500 in his 2 years with the Rangers. However, his other reputation reared its ugly head which was poor playoff performances by his previous teams. So that being said, he got fired because in both years, Rangers got bounced from playoffs due to his never making ANY in game adjustments....Maybe its time for Voss as well

I wouldn't put too much value in Carlton's second half. They certainly played better but Brisbane took the foot off the gas.

I'm a major fan of brisbane even being at the game last night, brisbane hopefully fix the 4th quarter problem to play against gws next weekend !
Not sure if you are into watching old games, but it would be worth watching the three premierships from 2001-2003. Michael Voss is turning out to be a poor coach but he played for Brisbane back then, he was one of the best, most physical players of this century. You will also see Marcus Ashcroft (Will's dad) I don't know if you are aware the quirks of the AFL draft system but there is a "father-son" rule. It allows teams to over rule if another team tries to draft a guy who's father played 100games or more at their club. The team must forfeit some of their later picks in the draft. There is a whole convoluted points system that Pythagorus would need a week to understand. The Lions used this rule to secure Will Ashcroft and will use it again this year to get Will's younger brother, who is tracking like another gun player. If you need to know anything about the game, I am a self described expert, happy to give any clarifications or just opinions. Some people treat AFL like it is a matter of life and death but people like me realise that it is much more important than that.
