The Drummer Chris Witchhunter !...was left handed and played basically....false....and this made him an unique Drummer...the best thrash Drummer in my Opinion!

Morris Black Flag was punk rock with a sense of humor and a razor edge. Rollins Flag degenerated into bicep flexing dark dirge metal. Both have their audiences, but for my money (as an 80's punk) it's gonna be Morris all day every day, no contest.

I happen to love this song. Not only does it sound like it made it onto the soundtrack for DOOM, I think there's a dignity to the lyrics that is hard to come by elsewhere. Candlemass does something extremely well, in my opinion, that others don't. Sorry you didn't like it.

When I first heard this on CW Post radio's weekend metal show I thought they were singjng "kill and kill, kill , kill, kill and kill". I kind of liked it better that way but Hail and kill is ok as well....at least it's not rape and kill.

When it came on the radio it was introduced as hocus pocus by focus!

I'm surprised about your opinion that the slowness felt forced. My thought is that it could have been even slower and that speed can give the feeling of beeing forced too. In it's very basic Doom metal is like picking out the slowest and heaviest songs by Black sabbath . Heaviness and slowness goes hand in hand and that is what its all about. A dark theme in the lyrics is common as it suits well to very slow and heavy metal.

I absolutely love ThinLizzy I always have for their early stuff, but I gotta say when they brought John Sykes into the band especially to do Cold Sweat I was like... OOOOHHHH HEEELLLL FARKIN YES!!!... cause John Sykes guitar work and solo's are absolutely amazing!

You are out of your damn minds. This song kicked ass in 1989 and it still does today. Perfection. The rest of the album is just as good if not better.

You might have only seen this as insanity, but what it was in realty was an insanely talented vocalist and musician, backed by an equally insanely talented band. They took a nearly 7 minute long hit, and played it in double-time to fit the time slot on the show. The result was an absolute frenetic shred, a gut-punch of hard rock and roll that could literally leave you breathless. No, they were not known as a "heavy metal" band, but this version of their hit most definitely qualifies as heavy metal, IMO.

Meh, try "I Can't Get It" or "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." Those are their two best songs.

This is a band fantastic live, but 100% not radio friendly. "Here comes sickness" by Mudhoney is also a great track.
