I just checked and they all say "Supracolor II Soft" on them. I've also discovered I have one pencil missing from the box and it's got to be somewhere in my studio so I need to have a tidy-up now 😂💛

@@ArtySubuthank you. I went to buy some open stock at my local art store and some of them don’t have the supracolor ii stamp either. Interesting that not all of them are marked

@@ArtySubu I tried something similar: acrylic ink in cheap water brushes, but it didn't work. They leaked 🙈

I've just got a couple of empty Molotow markers and will experiment with filling them and make a video 💛👍🏼

@@ArtySubu Oh, I got some too. But also bought the propper acrylic refills. This works nicely. But my failed experiment included real ink from Amsterdam (Royal Talens) and the water brushes to imitate the ink brushes and in order to take my favorie inks outside. :)

Ah right! They've been fine so far but I was careful to keep them upright and not fill to the brim! 💛

@@ArtySubu I always wanted to see where my fav ink (deatrementis) was made in Germany and faber castelle 😂might have visit my German cousins and use that as an excuse to go there and check out all the art stores! 😂

@SketchingFineArt oh DeAtramentis inks are so good! I use the black waterproof one in my Fude nib pen! We might go again and I'll check out some more shops. A friend had a bad experience at Boesner so not sure about that one!

@@ArtySubu yep that’s the ink I use in all my fountain pens and dip pens - but it’s quite expensive and only a few places online sells it - it’s around £17 per bottle with delivery - wonder if it’d be cheaper from Germany 🤔also wanted to go Switzerland sooo bad to check caran d’ache supplies! 😂

It is indeed expensive, but lasts a LONG time. I also use Noodlers ink for ny everyday Parker fountain pen and that bottle has lasted well over 2 years and still half full! 👀💛

Haha! I'm 5 foot too, with a 6 foot husband who does the tall-person stuff! Useful, aren't they?! 🤣💛 Yes, traditional gouache is rewettable. In fact, I mostly use it re-wetted rather than fresh from the tube. I'll be doing a video soon on that.

@ArtySubu they really are useful, lol!! I've been looking at gouache, I've got acrylic, but I'll definitely be treating myself to some traditional gouache!!xx

Sounds good! I also got myself some lovely super matte medium from Golden that gives an acryla-gouache effect to acrylic that is really smooth and more cost-effective. 💛

It's a great pen - I've had the Hero for a while, but have seen other people use the Sailor brand too. My allowance plastic bag was full of curly hair stuff so I was extra worried about the pens! They seem to have tightened up the quantity you can take now - only one tiny bag per person. I got upgraded in my hotel so it was a bigger room than I expected 💛

Hiya! It really depends where in London you are. Cass has several central London shops and Jackson's are slightly out of the way. Pricing for both is pretty competitive and you can always visit other places too like London Graphic Centre or L Cornelissen and so on. 💛

@@ArtySubu I think a combination of your voice and the cleaning was 10/10 plus I learned how to clean brushes as someone who just started learning to paint 🎨

@@ArtySubu yeah absolutely. i don’t scan stuff so i don’t have to think about that aspect at least xD i can imagine it’s quite tricky!

Haha yes! It takes a LOT of colour correction to get the paper down to white! The other issue to me is the absorption.... Having used similarly priced sketchbooks with much better paper (Art Gecko, Seawhite of Brighton both good for water-based media), I'd still not re-buy the Talens. Even the white one. 💛

Interesting!! ! They do have a fair number of supplies at lower prices than elsewhere but they also don't stock the cheapest ones. Much of what they have is artist quality, not as much student-grade. 🤔
