Nice. I quit winter camping for a while. Til the diesel heater. Now it's fun again. Fires in the morning and evening, fire that thing up at dusk, and retreat at dark.

Great video. Liked how the video cuts are in time with the Roundabout music. I see you have an old aluminum chair with the aluminum armrests. I've had the same exact chair for over 35 years, rewebbed it I don't know how many times. Haven't seen one with aluminium armrests for many years, no one makes them. Also, I dig the vintage Coleman camp gear, got a bunch of it too. The old stuff was made so well and works great if you take care of it. Camped up near Holcolm Valley in an old Chevy van years ago and didn't prepare for such a cold night. Condensation from breathing left about an eighth inch sheet of ice on the inside windshield. That old carbureted engine took FOREVER to finally warm up and defrost enough to get out of there. Thanks for bringing back memories. Merry Christmas. Will subscribe.

Oh you gotta get a drone for those sweet drone shots. Probably save you a lot of hassle too so you don't have to keep stopping to get out and place your camera.

What kind of heater is that? Do you have a video on it? Do you carry a spare gas tank or water tank? Those plastic ones all the Tacoma guys use would look cool mounted somewhere. I don't think I will ever go camping in a place like this, cuz I drive more in the city and like my bus lower, but I can still go to the campsites that are more car friendly.

This the second video I've seen. As I was watching the memories came flooding back, it kinda surprised me. I might have camped in the same spot lol. I've seen some amazing things in that desert ! I can relate to digging a bus out of the sand well done lolol. I always carried a come along. I had to subscribe!

Is your bus 4 wheel drive or 2 wheel drive? I use to drive a 88 VW Jetta up and down dirt mountain roads, never got stuck but I had a lot of fun. I'm having a good time watching your bus traverse the scenic landscape.

Just found this video. I grew up in the San Bernardino NF. I had a 63 kombi bus. That was in the early 70s. I knew every logging rd and forestry rd from Onyx Summit to Cajon pass and out to Barstow. Lololo. Thanks for the great video. HOLCOMB VALLEY WAS NICER THEN.

That was back in the early nineties, Now forget it. Great music I have that and alot more from the seventies on my phone play list. Big Bear is a great area, Lots of great memories there. Which tires you have on the bus? They appeared to handle the icy snow quite well.

You're pretty brave to take that old VW on the roads where you camped! Just tuned inh, but you must have equipt the bus with a beefed up suspension. Very cool!
