I think you’re probably the only guy in the SoCal desert that’s overlanding in a ‘59 Bus. People are definitely going to start to recognize you! Haha! Another great one, bro!! 🤙🏻
Larry, your videos are really fantastic. I enjoy them so much! I wish l could follow along behind you in my '61 panel bus out there in the desert. I wonder how those folks with their big, expensive 4x4 vehicles feel when they see you on the trail with them in an '58 VW bus? It must make you smile inside being able to go most everywhere they go! Stay cool!
Thanks 😊, I think very one loves seeing it. I get a lot of props from the 4x4 peeps I see on the trail. Good Folks! You should plan a trip, start small, make sure you don’t have any junkie 💩 on your bus. Hit the trail. 😉
Hey Larry, finished 4 12hr work days, can't think of a nicer way to unwind than to connect with my wife, kick back & watch your latest video with her. Love those crazy cool desert vistas! Every time I see another vehicle coming toward you in the distance, I'm always hoping it might be another vintage V.W. bus. Have a good weekend, Larry & " safe drively".
That is a great video to kick back and watch, the canyon walls are amazing. Rest up my friend! 🙂 No old vehicles on the trails, most folks are smarter than that. 🤪
Little Scrape down the passenger side, once it hit the rear body bar, it just pushed the Bus over a little to pass the boulder. You can notice the rear moving over in the video. That whole place was jaw dropping. Thanks for watching my brother! I'm stoked you enjoyed it! - Larry
Always good stuff Larry! We were out last week at Borrego Palm Canyon campground and made the nice hike out to the oasis, a little windy at night, but beautiful day.
I think I need to get over to that side of the park soon, before its too hot. There seems to be longer canyons on that side. So many cool places in your videos!!!
Trails change all the time. That pinch gets well travel, your Vanagon would have a good time in that canyon. So much views to see before that spot and plenty of room to turn around. 😊🤙
Bro, I’ve watched tons of videos about folks exploring this canyon. You and your VW Bus are the GOAT! 👊🤙🤘
Thanks for the props! Amazing Canyon. 🚐🏜️🤙
Love the soundtrack, especially the classical guitar in the beginning.
Same
Me too! Sets up the whole video, soft, yet powerful, rugged. 🏜️
Diggin on the vids and the exploration in the vw bus.in that canyon the old vw buses never DIE .😊 happy busing 😊
Thanks! Amazing Canyon! can't wait to go back. 🚐

Thank you for the video. Very cool camera POV with those windows popped up.
Glad you liked it!
Awesome as usual. Great angles, and I love the trail cleanup.
🙂 Thanks! I stop for the mylar balloons.
Thanx for sharing!
Thanks for watching! Amazing place!
All the time we drove Baja bugs down washes like that it nice to see someone take time to look at the sights!
Love it! I grow up with Baja Bugs, Manxs and Buggies/ Sand Rails. 🙂
Good one Larry.. thanks for taking us along
Thanks HT 😊 - Thank You so much for watching, next week is my One Year Anniversary video. Enjoy 👍
Great video, that hair pin corner looked a little tricky. Fifty years ago I owned two vw bugs wish I had them now. Take care

Amazing place, wash boarded, well traveled 🧳
That’s some crazy trail! We don’t have anything like that in Illinois 😅
I had such a great time and can't wait to go back again! By the way, Illinois is green! You win! Thanks for watching! 🤙 - Larry
guessing a vanagone would not make it. you ever get stuck great fun

Next time enter thru the overland hwy so you can do the Diablo drop-off
I checked it out, it was pretty washed out when I was there.
I would of needed a winch to get over the boulders in the canyon.
Maybe next year😬
👏👏👏👏
Thanks 😊
Hey Larry. I cant recall what engine you re running. always enjoy your laid back adventures. Cheers from British Columbia Canada.
1600 single port, came out of a $500 bug I purchased. 🙂
The lifters are starting to rattle, I hope 🤞 it lasts for a few more months. 😅
What is the temperature in the canyon? How your engine feel it?
It was 70F to 85F in that canyon. That engine runs great in 20F to 112F. 1600cc single-port.
