Hi Camerin, I wanted to mention this movie before it slips my mind. Have you ever seen Tommy (1975)? It's the theatrical version of The Who's rock opera. Jack Nicholson, Elton John and Tina Turner had roles in it. It's pretty trippy, so it's honestly hard for me to guess whether you'd like it (it's one of those movies people tend to love or hate). There's a bit of irony that this cult classic is about a cult. And a little fun fact to link with The Beatles, Ringo Starr's son became the drummer for The Who in the 90's.

RIP Anton Yelchin. I love this movie, it was shot in Portland, OR (where I grew up) and Mt Hood National Forest (which is beautiful). The pacing is great, the slow building tension. Seeing Patrick Stewart be an evil white supremacist was wild. Plus it really captured the look and feel of the Pacific Northwest. I went to see this on a Wednesday and had the theater to myself. I had some Buncha Crunch and a small box of wine. It was a very nice day off from work.

I saw this a while back and really enjoyed it. So glad to see you reacting to it. Really solid film.

I was curious, have you ever seen Open Water or Frozen (not the cartoon) lol They're tension movies based on actual events. Or Alpha Dog, also stars Anton Yelchin, sure they Hollywooded it up, but the core story actually happened. Ben Foster was intense AF and goes ape shit berserk in 3 memorable scenes. As always, these aren't recommendations.

Yes! This is on my list of favorite realistic (could really happen to you) horror movies. RIP Anton Yelchin

Very accurate depiction of Georgians. Plus, if the four do end up on trial (most unlikely) the jury wouldn't be composed of the mountain man's kin, since jurors are screened beforehand to ensure they're not related to the defendant, victim, or anyone involved.

Love that you’re reacting to this one:) This is one of the most bizarre films that I’ve encountered. The most bizarre being The Baby from 1973, about a 25 year old man who’s raised by his mother and two sisters as an actual infant:) Definitely worth a look:)

This movie really reminds me of Summer of Sam 1999. It really depicts the chaos of NYC in the infamous summer of 77 when Son of Sam killer was on the loose and Italian stereotypes were at their peak apparently. A lot of misogyny and homophobia, but it really had some great dancing and an amazing soundtrack:)

The reason that the position of defense against the dark arts post is never kept by anyone for more than one term is because Lord Voldemort applied for that position. Thanks to Dumbledore’s influence Lord Voldemort did not acquire the job and therefore cursed the post of defense against the arts so that no one could keep the post for more than one term.

I believe Ron was a much better character in the books... As for Voldemort, He's a cold hearted, ego driven monster whose only "friends" are gutless followers how are hoping to ride his treacherous coattails to a position of importance in his hopeful dictatorship over the magical community. I think all of them are scared of him, but it's their ticket to power so they are turning a blind eye to all the evil.

I was hangover AF one morning and just clicked on something on Netflix that looked "soft." H2O came on. It had everything! Sandy beaches, eternal sunshine, the clear blue ocean, a mystic island with a moon pool, exotica music cues; nonsensical storylines, plot holes galore, and charismatic but (mostly) bad acting. I binge-watched the whole thing, and suddenly I felt good again. I find it a bit hard to explain the magic of the show to the dudes, though 🙂

Not all Slytherin are evil. One good example is Severus Snape. In fact there are evil wizards and witches from all four houses. Out of the four houses Hufflepuff has the least amount of evil wizards and witches.
