I live in Longton and only. Visit Hanley to go to Primark. Even Next and M&Smoved out. Longton is trying to get better and the shopping precinct has a much better feeling, being repainted and well looked after, trying to attract small independant shops.

This is a prime example of what happens when the government , and stupidity of industrial UNIONISTS, systematically destroy production, which eventually results to zero production and the town and cities rapidly declining to the mass domain of what we call , poverty-stricken and riddled with crime, of course which then allows drugs to take over. Well done Government, Industrial Management and the clowns in the Unions.

I think online giants like Amazon are the main cause of town centres like Hanley losing business. Why trouble yourself paying extortionate parking rates then running the gauntlet of heroin and dust addicts not to mention the shite weather when you can tap the app and get what you need delivered on that day or the very next day from the comfort of your own home. You also have apps like Just Eat and Deliveroo who will bring you takeaways and even do a small food shop for you nowadays. I live in the ST1 postcode and never go into the city centre. I spend most of my money on Amazon and get my groceries dropped at my door.

I can confirm that the Three Tuns has been demolished. I took some pictures of it prior to demolition and there was no sign of fire damage on the outside. I would love to know more about this pub. It was a lovely building.
