My Disappointment is Immeasurable and My Day is Ruined

In this video, I swap CPU's from a Dell PC I got on Ebay to an HP ProDesk. The Dell has two issues: the first is that it may be vendor-locked so that other PC's can't use its CPU, and it's clocked down to 0.8 GHz all core. That sucks. It may be a used Dell OptiPlex 7050 Micro, but it should at least perform at stock. Support the channel directly by checking out my books linked below. Book 1: ww...

This $4600 Laptop Has A Fatal Flaw - HP ZBook Fury
Got one yesterday.
Because the people don’t care about camera quality… they want the best device for social media. That’s why people buy apple. A don’t like for example Samsung cameras. Google do a good job ! But too much AI Sony is the only one care about what really people need… Good camera, SD card, 3,5 mm jack and beautiful design ! This is just my opinion. Take care.
I used to loved the xperias but I cannot buy it in my country any longer so I buy an iPhone xr back in 2018 and now I'm currently using a s23 ultra but I confess I miss the xperias soo much
In addition to not being in carrier stores, i think they also never figured out how to properly market their devices either. Remember, there was a time when Sony feature phones and smartphones were in carrier stores. I had an Xperia Z1s which was T-Mobile USA's variant of the Z1. There were a couple differences but they were essentially the same phone. That phone wasn't so popular despite being in carrier stores bwcause there was no marketing push behind it. Samsung phones were the worst Android phones thanks to TouchWiz but people bought them in droves because you couldn't get anywhere without seeing a Samsung ad. Consumers never buy the best option. They instead buy what is advertised the hardest. If they did we would still have Palm's WebOS on phones because their OS is still being copied today. Heck, people would see that Blackberry 10 was a well polished and executed OS which had the best security features while also having the Android run time so it'd be a win-win. Instead, what we have is a duopoly lead by 2 of the richest companies in the world that threw a LOT of money into advertising. Google is catching up quickly as well despite having the slowest Android phones on the market but they have money to throw into advertising.
❤❤Sony Xperia ❤❤
I'm using my Xperia 1V on T-Mobile USA. As long as the SIM card fits into the slot it should work unless theres some sort of white or blacklisting involved.
I think the 1 VI has a 1080p screen; not a 1440p screen.
For me I like it how it is ..... Bad marketing.. not lot buy it ... That how the price going down so fast.. make it easy to get one after just 3 months more than 20% will save 😅 and 40% when I sell previous one ... And work 👍🏻 done ... Buying new one with almost 40% ... I don't care what others think about....
I had a Sony Xperia X2 Ultra (at least I think that was what it was called). Pretty good phone.
Sony's software support and the hardware for its price with their mid-range phones is rather poor which is why I never bothered with them and now with a Fairphone 5 that i intend to keep until 2030 and so far I am pretty happy.
I understand. I'll have to see how mine does.
Umm Ami I the only person who is gonna ask the question?
No. You are not :’)
Should I ask which question?
the way he blinks reminds me of louis rossman
I'll take that as a compliment.
I have an Xperia 10II running SailfishOS, never used under Android. SailfishOS is free to download/install, there is also a paid version. The free version does NOT have Android Support or Predictive Text.
I believe that the problem with the Sony phones is that their previous camera apps were too complicated and they scared regular users with this app
I can see that.
I used to have a z5 compact for all of a week before it fell and broke. The screen broke and stopped working. It only fell a foot. I was heartbroken. But what I remember was while the size and camera were good, the battery life was terrible.
I've used an Xperia 1 III and currently used a 1 V. The V failed in software after the Android 14 update. The ambient light sensor on the lock screen is still messed up to this day. The always-on display goes full-bright in the dark. It also tends to freeze up after running for a few weeks, which was not the case on Android 13. The VI reportedly fixed this, but V owners were left behind. Sony decided not to support US carriers at all with the VI, or even sell it directly to the US market. Between that, the drop in screen resolution, and the stagnant design (same screen for the III, IV, and V), it's really hard to compete against similarly priced phones in the US. Not making a joke here: It's difficult to find a phone that is narrow enough to operate comfortably with one hand these days. Even harder to find one with an SD card slot. "Small" phones have screens at/over 6". That's not small. Xperias are more narrow than many, but are so tall that you can barely reach over half way up the screen with a thumb. Now that Sony phones are not easily available/usable in the US, we're at the mercy of manufacturers that are deadlocked in a race to make foldable tablets and sell them as phones. Maybe Sony will come back...
Camera button was on sony phones since early 2000s, still in sony ericsson era. I had K700 with it, a phone from 2004. Funny to think apple is 20 years late :D
Speaking as an Xperia 5 Mark IV owner, I have to say: the abysmal pocket detection probably doesn't help. Plenty of smart phones got that down ten years ago, and yet at least this one doesn't. (I also kind of assume they don't sell well anywhere else, especially Japan, but I don't have firsthand experience with that, unlike the terrible pocket detection.)
At 11:50, I meant to say "small bezel". Oops.
Yeah, good specs with crap build quality. These computers have an issue where the intake sucks in air that is coming out of the fans, sucking in hot air. That’s also how a convection oven works. Now, I’m not saying avoid dell, but I am saying that the xps series has serious cooling issues.
Its very impressive script Ncie way of prsenting
Thank you but no script! Just made up as I go.
Congrats on the New Book! My mom just got it!
Outstanding review Andy! I look forward to your review of the smaller Next Unit of Computing (NUC) device you mentioned in this video. Thank You!
This was a really well-done review!
Thanks.
Great video, sir. I'm thinking about ordering an XPS i7 w/ 64GB RAM as an Unraid server with a six drive DAS for the 3.5" HDD's.
I personally hate the value of the recent XPS lineup but they do look nice.

Great review. I am not a computer person at all but know what I like lol. I got this model as well with the RTX 3050, with a 460 power supply. What upgrade graphics cards would work? I was looking at a rtx 3060 as I was not wanting to spend to much but still possibly upgrade. But I see this is a 6 slot power, and most I see are 8?
The 3060 is good definitely don't get 4060. If you want maximum upgrade a pre built isn't the way to go.
@@andysilvers9532 yeah, I was given it to do a review on it and then in return I got to keep it. I am impressed with it and how the 3050 does but for a couple hundred more I was thinking a 3060.
When I watched the video, you were unboxing your PC, and I thought you were lazy. When you turned around, I realized why you were using one hand. Sorry about my misjudgment.
I'm so lazy I refuse to grow another arm.
Dude, why are you missing an arm?
I don't believe I'm missing any arms. Maybe just an ARM processor.
@@andysilvers9532 That's the spirit. Approach your deformity with humor.
It's not a deformity.
Not sure what the standard Hz refresh rate is but you usually want to lock the frame rate at the Hz speed. 4k is huge demand to have over 60fps. This laptop compared to other lower end ones, is a gaming beast.
I believe I did lock the NVidia graphics to 120FPS in the NVidia control panel. Thanks.
Great video
So i do graphic design work inside of photoshop & illustrator. I want to also learn video editing. After watching your video and having strong considerations for this laptop would you recommend i go with the elitebook instead
For graphic design itll be fine, but for video editing (especially in Resolve) I recommend anything with a GPU. No elitebook that I'm aware of has a dedicated GPU so even a Firefly with Nvidia A500 would be better. However, id recommend a Lenovo Thinkbook for its features and price.
You should review Pop_OS! from a windows users perspective and go into more details on why it wasn't working for you. Be a contrast to all the linux hype you see on youtube.
Lovely cat ❤
An informative review. Thank you. I'm still running two 8930's circa Nov. 2017. I'm a non-gaming, home-office professional, video-streaming consumer with no need to upgrade.
Thanks for a good overview and some good takes To me it looks like the firefly also could work well for engineering students (web stidies with some meetups at campus) On the go project starts and overview, while having unlimited power from a desktop at home. Portable and travel friendly. And you get a numpad. That is a big selling point. Comparing firefly to graphics equipped thinkpads, price is favourable to thinkpads (in my market). Even competes well with elitebooks here
Great points. I would only buy a ZBook Firefly on sale.
Very helpfyl. Thank you
galaxy tab s7 fe i use it for Emulation gaming browsing formating usb drives in various formats make bootable usb sticks streaming PORN casting all kinds of office docs like exel word blablabla adobe photoshop downloading and as a mini server on the road with friends
Well for me personally I have a galaxy tab s7 plus, and can't lie it takes a beating and still using to this day, got it as a gift, one thing I can say is I use it for my college work and the screen size is definitely useful if your traveling and need to get some work done, as I'm taking IT go figure right, but well put, I myself am new as well, love the breakdowns keep it up.
Thank you.
I just found a great deal for this on a refurbished I9 13900 for $1350 on Amazon. Most of the reviews say the Gen 14 is minimally faster than the 13th Gen, it just runs hotter.
Yeah 14th Gen is a mediocre improvement so id just get 13th gen or 12th on sale.
I'm considering buying this dell. I talked with dell about buying the 2TB SSD and adding an HDD for backup. The dell assistant I talked to said that I could do it but max would be a 2TB HDD. Does anyone know why I can't do a 4TBHDD, what would be the issue, maybe besides they didn't test it that way??? Any info is helpful, thanks.
Maybe he's referring to the max the Dell online store can add. You should be able to add 4TB and more with ease.
Great video
Did that PC cost you an arm and a leg?
No just the arm.
@@andysilvers9532 gg king 👑. Great video
Andy, you rock! Great review. I just ordered the top-of-the-line 14th generation i9 24-core version of the XPS 8960. Cost me around $3,500, but it's replacing a four- to five-year-old Dell. That's a long time to wait for the newest technologies. I'm getting two, 1TB SSD drives with 32GB of RAM. Looking forward to a much better and faster performance. By the way, I'm not a gamer, so none of that interests me at all. I'm hoping for faster internet speeds and better performance on the apps I use most - Photoshop and Powerpoint.| For a smoother transition, I've decided to pay my local IT shop to do the changeover for me. Makes it faster and easier for me, and while they're in the shop I'll have my Dell Inspiron laptop to work with. I just subscribed, so I'll look for your upcoming videos.
nice keep it up
❤ love from india
Thanks for the review. I think your right, 800+ is alot for a tablet. At that price id probably be more interested in a laptop for more serious tech needs. The A9 is more price friendly and powerful enough to just watch netflix in bed or on trips with.
Buen video
