Just made ghee again. I usually like it carnalized, it usually takes 15 min to cook off the water. This time I put it on a medium heat and had to step away for about 5 min, when I came back is was bubbling over the top. Ended up with a toasty nutty Ghee. Great flavor taste like toffee.

The buildup in the ice maker will start to melt. It'll take a few tries, then you should be able to remove the chunks of frozen ice. I was able to wipe it up, stay on top of it.

I’m about to defrost again after only about 3 months due to ice in the fan. There are fix kits now that add a secondary 15W heater wired into the primary defrost heater. Check out Ben’s Appliances TH-cam channel.

the milk solids have are cooked out; therefore it's shelf stable and doesn't need refrigeration, also it can be easier on the stomach for the lactose intolerant. plus it tastes pretty good too. we like to use the darker when baking chocolate chip cookies...
Ghee has a high smoke point (485 degrees) so you can used fry potatoes etc. I use it to make chicken schnitzel. It’s not necessary sterile your jar just wash and dry. I would suggest that turning the stove off for safety. Ethiopian and Indian cuisine used ghee in cooking. Quite frankly it has nothing to do with preventing lactose intolerance. After all you can cook with vegetable oil etc.
