As a huge fan of the concept of The Frenzied Flame, I adored the mystery of it all pre-DLC. As soon as I saw Midra's head light ablaze I was hyped beyond anything I have ever experienced. This boss fights and acts EXACTLY like the Lord of Frenzied Flame would in my eyes, and every second of the fight, track and environment felt perfect. May chaos take the world.

The whole tone of this piece can be summed up in two words; *''Chaos Unleashed''*

I've just killed this guy, and I gotta say this was the most amazing boss fight of the whole game

I love that this song feels melancholy and heroic at the same time, like in this ending Ayre is the hero and Raven is the villain.

Its kinda scary to think about this fight. You accidentally stumbled upon a manse in the middle of the abysal woods which is already scary enough. Then you relize the litteraly lord of frenzed flame is just chilling and you HAVE to kill him cause if not he might destroy the world.

Kinda wish it wasn’t obviously staged like they could’ve at least levelled them up to make it at least believable

Gives me some biiiiig Bloodborne Vibes! In fact, the whole Area all of this play's in gives me massive Bloodborne vibes and I think it was intentional since Miyasaki and his team all want to do something with Bloodborne.... but Sony's a bitch and says no.

Fun observation: Walter’s theme has the same piano key used in *all* fights related to the RRI. Definitely due to being truly the *last* cinder burning from the past.

I love how when he hits second phase it goes from "old man should be put out of his misery" to "if I let this mf out he *will* destroy the world"

I really like how his frenzied burst spirals just like ours, as you're trying to place order on the flame. I see too many people say that that Miquella's needle wards away the meddling of outer gods when--instead--they should be thinking that it conjoins those powers with the needle, as it is reminescent of divinity--the Crucible of all life, death, and rebirth--and so it wishes to regress. By power of regression, i instead think that it takes in the power, not warding it away. For the same reason that Miquella can simply suck up rot from Freyja to conjoin it with himself, as he is unalloyed gold or more better--light. Rot is a part of divinity, just like the devouring flames are. Greater Will enjoys making Order out of these aspects of life, death, and rebirth; though i think that the flame of frenzy especially wants everything to be reset to stardust. It's definitely of the divine crucible. I think that the Three Fingers was birthed from Metyr after she was ignored by the Greater Will for so long, as seen by Kowtower's (an obsequious person) Resentment; she has grown wrathful. See that the skill has two pairs of two fingers, and then a third palm with three fingers. The Flame of Frenzy head also looks remarkably similar to a microcosm that she uses to communicate with the Greater Will. I consider it to be a massive eff U to the Greater Will as her Lord annihilates all that is living so that it may return to the Crucible and be without Order that Greater Will wants

ya'kno it's funny that allmind and Ayre use the same/similar Ibis with contrasting colors at the end of their fight. Two Ai with vastly different goals and mindsets. One is fighting to defend Rubicon, the other to control the coral release and possibly the galaxy. A fun parallel

the crescendo at 4:53 just makes me wanna reach up high into the sky with both my arms like my maniac tarnished does in the FF ending. easily one of the best fights and OST's in the game.

This soundtrack gives me Bloodborne vibes and so does the fight in a way. Loved it!

I know everyone's pointing out the frenzied merchant leitmotif in the middle of the song, but if you listen closely, you can actually hear the same leitmotif not long after the song starts.
