Yeah it has been 1,5 years since this video got uploaded. But hearing so much changed motivates me to go back and check it out again :)

It is incredibly well packed. A full run is somewhere between 45 minutes and 1,5h I'd say, but you can leave the game whenever and rejoin at a later stage. Thanks for the kind words, glad you liked it.

It is very similar to Cuphead. I guess you've already played that one though.

I agree. The injury stays throughout the map progression but goes down with every new section. That is definitely the better way since it would allow far too much exploiting. Maybe it will drop down a bit with the next sale which is... Idk valentine's sale?

The artstyle was what pulled me into this game. I love Cuphead and this game has a similar artstyle. But I also see why one doesn´t enjoy it as much. Maybe the next one will be more up your alley :)

Its definitely a wishlist worthy title. When you feel up for a fully packed combat system and want to invest real brain power into your gameplay, this is one fine title for that.

I just checked, their catalogue has some varied game genres in them. Hope they can improve on the already good base they made here!

It absolutely is a huge difference compared to the usually lower graphic quality of the genre!

I enjoy the overall gameplay routine very much, though I agree with your statement, that the swirling carnage ability is visually not very great...

I see what you mean but in Hades you fight with weapons against enemies and in Heretical you fight with weapons against enemies. They could be twins! Don´t you see?!

Luckily that only happened once because it is a harsh lesson you learn. The game is just so enjoyable that I already spent an additional 4 hours in the game. Such a real-fun!

Absolutely. The art is amazing and that formed into a larger game with RPG elements would be even better. The old Pokemon trading card game on gameboy color comes to mind as an example... Thanks as always for the kind words.

At least I am not the only one who failed :D The difficulty setting is definitely something they should adress before launch, but otherwise the game has a great premise.

Yes, that is one close similarity for sure!

The varying gameplay, especially with the winged Nursemaids was something I haven't seen before, but the game is still a bit too similar to other deckbuilders, if you're looking for something new. Maybe they'll add some more so that you can grab it with a higher hope for variety.

@doriantheexplorian this game's studio is phew phew games and in the studio's head is a TH-camr Enis kirazoğlu which is one of the most greatest game TH-camr in the Turkey. He is like you who is playing games and give a review about them if he was know your video I'm certainly sured he will be very thankful mister.

I am sure he is happy with the outcome of Anomaly Agents release. It is an amazing title!

The genre is definitely not for everyone. I also had moments before Vampire Survivor where I disliked the whole "zigg-zagg for 20 minutes"-part. But something clicked with me and now I fairly enjoy it. I also see what you mean with the cutscenes. It didn´t bother me too much when I was playing since this animation shows that the fever state is active, letting me know I am now pumping out huge balls... That sounds wrong.

Glad you enjoyed the review. To answer your question, if you enjoy JRPGs you might really dig this one, even though it has roguelike and deckbuilding elements. But since the game (for me at least) didn't feel much like a deckbuilder or a roguelike it can still appeal towards players who aren't familiar with the genre. It felt much more like a JRPG with a resetting, yet evolving story and missing, consistent progression. Hope that helps in any way.

For a non-fan of the vampire Survivors genre this is definitely too little of a change of pace. Thanks as always for the kind words.
