I had switched a mic setting on which is an aggressive cut and it distorted the engine noise. I still have to sell my hero 9. It will be a bargain for someone at £150, 4 batteries, charger, mic adapter etc.

@@johndiehardmclean23 I never edited it in 4 k mate as it was only a test for the audio. GoPro are getting left behind mate.

@Zedhead_ The majority of the stuff I watch,the picture quality is never an issue though...Always the bloody sound! 🤬🤣👍 I just bought 2 different wireless mics to try out & they were the same price as that Nae-Goodmans camera you destroyed...& that was for both of them!!! 😂🤣👍

@@kimetogo yes, the bike has to go through at least 3 engine start/stop cycles including riding before it resets itself. Forums are a wonderful thing. 😂

@@Grint-XR I agree, it is better than GoPro in so many ways, horizon levelling, FOV, wireless 🛜 audio. Anything that makes it easier in the long run.

@@PaulsMotoZen I haven’t stopped, I just have had recording issues with my other camera that corrupted a massive amount of footage. Which is the reason I have chosen to change camera platforms.

@@exeterrider No Steve it is purely -12 gain on the mic. I am going to reign it back until I strike a good balance.

Stu your voice is nice and clear but you've definitely got wind noise reduction on in either the camera, the mic or both, hence the odd whooshy noises in the background. I'd like to have heard the audio without WNR just to see how well the mic picked up the bike and how much wind noise there was. Your idea of putting a second mic in the top box to pick up exhaust sound may work but when I tried it, it picked up the backend bounce of the suspension. I got a similar result placing a mic under the seat, the best results came from having a mic in a backpack or in a pillion's helmet.

@@greywolf9292 I have another vlog coming out tonight at 9pm. This time I have the noise reduction switched off on the mic and the gain set to -10 and I will let you be the judge as to whether it’s better or not.

@@BlakesPipes I have a little scope to have a better blend of bike and audio.

@@thepeakybiker it has given me the idea of a second dji mic in my top box to pick up exhaust note.

@@kimetogo Thanks, it is 100% the system and not my editing skills. It was practically off camera and onto TH-cam with I think 3 or 4 cuts.

@@RevBombUK That’s where the second dji mic 2 will come in. I will be running 2 osmo action 4’s and 2 dji mic 2’s one in my helmet and one in my top box gathering exhaust sounds. 👍

@@Grint-XR I am very please with the outcome Howie. The fact I can switch my camera on and off using voice activation is amazing.

@@Zedhead_ I'm astounded at the leaps and bounds that action cameras have advanced to these days ..I just got my mitts on an insta X4, that works off hand gestures FFS!! I'll be franticly waving and gesticulating at it at some point I'm sure 🤣🤣

@@tojj29 The gain on the camera is set to -12 and it works a treat. I had my helmet up for a good part of that ride and I could barely tell.

@@haggiswhisperer it’s very similar to my osmo action, it has a familiarity about it. Connection the Dji 2 mic is pretty simple, it did take me a bit to find where the gain settings were. 😂

@@tojj29 Hey Nigel I have the mic 2 as well it got delivered yesterday. I was thinking about the gps remote but the fact that you can use voice prompts to switch the camera on and off I am wondering whether I need it or not.

@@michaellilley6725 The mic arrived today mate, I can’t wait to try it out. I am selling my GoPro hero 9 and buying another Dji osmo action 4. That will mean I will have 3 Dji as I have the original osmo action ( first dual screen vlogging camera )

@@Zedhead_ Wow you're all suited and booted and ready for action, you'll need to reduce the gain on the camera, the transmitter/mic and the receiver as audio on the camera is too hot. If you're going to use a lav mic don't worry about an expensive one, they're too high gain, I've found the best mic to be one cut off a cheap set of earpieces. It'll probably take a test run or two to get the balance right, I'll have a look to see how mines set up and let you know.

@@michaellilley6725 going by all the vids I have watched -12db gain is the number. I am placing the mic at my cheekpad. I am going to try it tomorrow to see how it works.

@@dorayaki5494 it can be hit and miss but I have found that everything I have had from them is of reasonable quality. Many people buy certain products for a “ one time “ use like and impact gun or plastic welder or whatever. This offers a cheaper alternative than buying recognised brand to only use a handful of times.

You are very welcome, the good thing about Temu is that the more you use it the better the deals you get. I recently got £100 worth of items for nothing because of customer loyalty.
