Kawagoe is only 30 minutes away from Central Tokyo but it gives off vibes that you wouldn't expect to find anywhere this close to the main city! The little shop lined streets and back alleys retain much of their old architecture, leading to this area being called Little Edo.
I went to Kawagoe in the spring to see the sakura river boats that run their service during this time and explore around a bit. I also try as many local food items as I could to help give some tips on what to eat and do in Kawagoe!
