CAN CARIDINA BE KEPT IN TAP WATER?
I get asked this question at least twice a week, so I thought it was time to give a detailed explanation of why you should not keep Caridina shrimp in tap water.

NO MORE ALGAE! The Solution To Black Beard Algae
มุมมอง 2Kปีที่แล้ว
Black Beard Algae (BBA) has got to be one of the worst forms of algae out there because it is so difficult to get rid of. So when I was told about a product that would eliminate my BBA problem, I had to test it for myself to see if it really works. This video will focus on APT Fix and the results after using it for 1 week. Thanks again to MY TANKLIFE for sponsoring this video! APT Fix on My Tan...
I SCAPED THIS TANK SPECIFICALLY FOR THESE ANIMALS #aquascape
มุมมอง 748ปีที่แล้ว
I finally had a chance to scape my new 3ft tank! This tank took some planning and design to get it perfect for the animals I had in mind. I will be making another updated video in a few weeks when I am able to add the animals to this tank. Please let me know what small fish I should add to the tank! I have baby bladder snails. I found them in my 10g tank and just moved all the fish over to the new 75g. Saw all these little guys crawling around. I transfered some to the big tank and the 10g will become the quarantine tank. They are welcome to the family just like the fish. I added some extra algea wafers for them were the big fish can't get to.

I have a small tank that has nothing but what I think sre trumpet snails. There are so many i remove the bigger ones and feed them to my turtles. I'm not too happy doing that but thats how i keep the population down. My question concerns mystery and nerite snails i have in my fish aquariums. What do you suggest is the best way to give them calcium? Thank you...

Planorbarius eats plants. This is 100% clear by my long experience and theyr numbers grow up also with no food. Bytheway, they are strongest snails to eat algae. Best snails in the acquarium world are nerites...they really cleans so good any hard surface, like glasses, woods and rocks.

Your points are all valid, however KH can be important if you are using aqua soil, it can lower you Kh and Ph causing a crash. Aquarium Ph kits only read as low as 6 and if you don't pay attention to that, it can cause the crash. Most of these thing that I'm saying apply to neocaridina shrimp as TB's are fine with low Ph. If your shrimp are mysteriously dying, it could also be chloromine levels, which are easily tested with an $8 pool chloromine kit, I do agree with not fixing what's not broken, the things that I have mentioned are only in case of mysterious shrimp deaths after them thriving. At least periodically check your Ph and Kh. I have experienced this and hope you never do.

You need to not feed them anything extra, and nature will take care of the rest...this includes feeding your fish the bare minimum as to make sure no excess food builds....yes, multiple times daily I am checking parameters, and do small water changes to dilute....my snails came in on plants from a company which guaranteed no snails. Im building an ecosystem and learned very quickly the benefit from their ability to clean. Incredible.....
