Mhoroyi Tulani! Thank you for your videos, you are a very good teacher and I'm glad you are back to recording them. Please keep going! I am an American learning Shona and am at the very basic level right now, but I think I may know what you are looking for, if I may humbly share. From what I understand so far (as I've been trying to wrap my mind around this) a lot of Shona words and sentences change based on the "NOUN CLASS" that the main subject is in. So noun class 1 & 2 are "people" noun classes and it goes from MU > VA. Class 3-4 are plants mostly, and go MU > MI. Class 5-6 are inanimate objects, borrowed words from other languages, and animals and add MA as a prefix. Class 7-8 also inanimate objects, languages and go CHI>ZVI, etc. There are 21 noun classes but not all are used in all dialects. The noun classes also create "concords" which is more than one word will change in a sentence to match the noun class. For example, " *Chi*garo *chi*chena.// Bepa *ra*kachena.// Muti *mu*chena. // Iyo laptop *i*chena./ I haven't found too many charts that are clear about this but Google "Shona Noun Classes" will show you a few. Not sure if we have "-dg-". Intead, we used "-dy-". Not sure if language experts have changed. Does this also mean we now have "-bg-" instead of "- bw-" as in "zvobgo" and "zimbabge".

Great teaching. Very few TH-camrs start teaching from vowels and consonants to build words, which is the right way to learn Shona reading, writing and pronounciation. Zvivaka mazwi or mashoko.
