    Good work brother. Some of these are easier actually. Somehow on my 05 lincoln town car 4.6 the injector wires and coil wires are inward and out of the way and even the large loomed wires at the back of the cover are out of the way. I doubt I will change mine for years actually because its a small drip and not bad. But this town car the way the wires are out the way I believe was factory, but I can tell about all on this one you would have to disconnect is the PCV and thats it

      @@garagedenali That makes sense, thanks! My car has the parallel park assist feature so I have another PDC type sensor in the location near the bumper sideview cam. Fortunately looks like that bracket you showed has room for both sensor and camera, and looks like the bumper was also marked for both items.

    • @garagedenali
      @garagedenali 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You have Parking Assistant, so that's good. The Surround View cameras go right below the Parking Assistant sensors, so you don't have to get the brackets. Just be careful when drilling the holes for the cameras. I would use a step drill bit so you don't have to remove the brackets that hold the sensors & cameras on the bumper

    I have a NBT and considered doing the NBT Evo but I couldn't find any good information on the upgrade. I was considering going with an Android screen upgrade since it is easier. I have connected services which now now discontinued. The only way to fix this is to switch the modem in the trunk (4G rather than 3G). I would want to see a video about connected services..you will need a dealership to help activate it. I was able to get to connected drive on my X3 for free. What so you think about the EVO and what was the cost? Does it support Android devices like S24?

    • @garagedenali
      @garagedenali หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are good videos on TH-cam that show how to get Connected Drive working. Dorks & Bolts has a video on this as well as Nicholas Gorkes. It's a bit involved but it is doable. They did not get a dealer to activate it. The NBT Evo retrofit cost me $2,000 and while it was expensive, I use the functionality every single time I drive the car, so it was worth it. I also paid $500-600 for the screen which is since I didn't want the aftermarket Android screen in my car.

    My car sounds exactly like this which is strange because I have a M Sport but the option list never listed the M performance exhaust (M Performance II). My exhaust is cut at the same place but welded instead of clamped. Is there any tell tale signs on the muffler?

    • @garagedenali
      @garagedenali หลายเดือนก่อน

      On N55 cars, the M Performance exhaust was listed as a separate option. You could have ordered with the M Performance Power Kit (MPPK) without the exhaust, as was my case. On B58 cars, the M Performance Power & Sound Kit bundled the tune and exhaust into one option (MPPSK)

    Great video @Garage Denali! Followed the install, and it turned out great! I found out that you do not need to remove all the trim around the shifter and the driving mode buttons. You just need to remove the iDrive trim and the side trim next to it, and you are able to route the cable to the outlet under the glovebox!

  • @anthonymarsala3086

    Your result looks clean, but I have some concerns that will probably keep me from doing the same, although I'm tempted to try it. Biggest concern is that I'm not really comfortable taking apart my console, so I guess I'm outta luck. I have a couple of USB connectors in front, though. I hated my under the glove box connector on my last BMW, the adapter would keep falling out due to gravity! So I tend not to use it even on my 430i. Also, I'm curious if it's blocking some of the controls (like passenger heater and A/C button) and if it's going into the passenger space at all. And can a passenger get a drink in and out of the right cup holder without disturbing a mounted phone?

    • @garagedenali
      @garagedenali 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The console is pretty easy to take apart and you won't run the risk of breaking anything. As far as the power outlet under the glove box, I never had any issues with power adapters falling out. Maybe you need to try a different power adapter. The angle of the mount can be adjusted but it does cover the A/C and passenger seat heat buttons slightly. It's not a problem for me to reach but the passenger asks me where the button is if they are not familiar with my car. Besides that, it doesn't really go into the passenger space unless that person is sitting with their knees up where sometimes they knock the phone out of the mount. Lastly, the mount does not interfere with drinks in the passenger side cup holder.

      @@garagedenali Thanks for the info - I decided to go through with it after all and installed it today. The video was extremely helpful. I did hit a couple of snags. The first screw that I took off I dropped and had a heck of a time finding it (was in between the passenger seat and center console!). I wasn't sure about how to fish the wire through, since that part is talked about but it's not all shown. Eventually I pushed the wire down and saw the plug pop out from the below the plastic at the bottom underneath the glove compartment. My pry tool took a little bit of plastic off the corner of the gear shift plastic piece, but not enough for anyone else to notice. Overall, I'm happy with the placement. I went with a separately purchased right-angle USB-C connector to the magsafe charger to give a little more room above the cup holders. It will be nice to not have my phone move around anymore while I'm driving. Thank you for the detailed video.

    seriously who cares about buttons. americans and their priorities. all anyone ever cares about in a car is how does it feel when riding in it over roads full of holes that we have no control of. Nothing else matters as much, air conditioning, open the window, does it have wheels and steering wheel. is the inside a toxic wastedump? does the exhaust connect to your face? cars are designed to go fast over unpredictable roads, if it cant' do that, it's worthless. might as well ride a bicycle or walk, at least you can dodge the potholes that way. once you get in a vehicle you share the road with other vehicles which create a safety situation. you cannot slow down, you must drive a certain speed and roads are full of holes and bumps. does it feel like your a rock in a rock tumbler? that is the only important question.
