Planes I've had the pleasure to fly: Piper Warrior, Beechcraft Musketeer, Cessna 172, Super Decathalon, Citabria, Cessna 182, J-3 Cub floatplane, Cessna 170, Aerostar, Stearman, Diamond DA-20, T-6 Texan II, T-38C, F-16C/D and counting.
Crop Duster Slow Motion Test
Hey team. As you've probably noticed, I haven't been able to make any new videos since I left Texas for the Air Force. I did recently get a GoPro Hero III Black while I was home and was able to get some footage to test the "high speed" setting on it. This was filmed at 240 frames per second, so the quality is pretty low, but not too bad for a a tiny camera like the GoPro, in my opinion!

Boll Weeviling to Floras Secret
มุมมอง 13K13 ปีที่แล้ว
My dad has wanted to make a video out of this clip for a while. He wanted it set to a waltz go to with the turns and of course picked his favorite, Enya! Here he's doing some post-season boll weevil work on a field with another power-line going through it. Starting at about 35 seconds you can see the power line that will be ducked under for the rest of the vid. This one is interesting in that t...
Takeoff and Landing in a Thrush set to Enya
มุมมอง 2.3K15 ปีที่แล้ว
A hazy morning with the rising sun lends itself to an atmospheric feel that fits perfectly with Enya's "A Day Without Rain"
Radial Air Tractor Takeoff and Landing
มุมมอง 30K15 ปีที่แล้ว
While I was filming the Thrushes one day, some Air Tractors were working off the field too. Nothing (except maybe a Mustang) sounds as good as those big radials! Compare it to that roaring Garrett in the background while the AT lands!
Crop Duster Negotiating Power Lines
มุมมอง 373K15 ปีที่แล้ว
Unedited footage of crop dusting cotton in a field with a high-line. The pole at 5:00 couldn't be much more in the way. Crop Dusters have to deal with obstacles like these on a daily basis. New edited videos on the way too.
Fun with machine guns
มุมมอง 3.2K15 ปีที่แล้ว
Most of you know my airplane videos (more crop dusting vids are on the way once the season starts!), but we also like to have some good ole fun with firearms too.
P-40 F-22 Heritage Flight
มุมมอง 68716 ปีที่แล้ว
Heritage Fight with a P-40, an F-16C, an F-15E, and an F-22. It was dedicated to Tex Hill. After the break they all did high speed passes, especially the F-16!!! It was awe inspiring to watch.
Field View: Wings Over Houston, Tora Tora Tora! 2008

The Japanese attack on Ellington Field (Pearl Harbor, at the time) at Wings Over Houston. As seen from the field! The school bus is there for the Thunderbirds.
Short Field Landing & Backing into Hanger w/ Reverse Thrust
มุมมอง 24K16 ปีที่แล้ว
A landing in less than 1000 feet, you can hear the reverse come in after the wheels hit. At the beginning of the video you can see the runway on the left side of the screen. Then reverse thrust is used to back the plane into the hanger.
Crop dusting in the morning haze
มุมมอง 18K16 ปีที่แล้ว
Apparently by popular demand: Taking-off and spraying in the morning. Unedited and uncut (except for the boring ferry). In this video the lightbar shows up very clearly.
Taxi, take-off and defoliating in a Thrush

This video is for all the people who enjoyed my Crop Duster Compliation, but wanted to see some uncut footage without any music. The video is self-explanatory.
Crop Dusting Compilation
มุมมอง 67K16 ปีที่แล้ว
The aircraft in this video are Ayers Turbo Thrushes, except for the AgCat seen briefly at the beginning. The clips were shot throughout several different days, so that is why the planes switch between booms and spreaders. I just didn't have enough time to film them landing enough while they were spraying. The video of the 2003 Japanese Aerobatic Championships influenced how I wanted to make thi...
Dodging Power Lines in a Thrush

Moving over as the line scoots closer to the field while setting up a racetrack pattern.
Whos here in 2024??
Did this to build hours 1977/1978

Been farming all my life if my pilot flew that low he is fired don’t get a good pattern
What type of spray nozzles you running?
😢. I. Missed my. Calling. Around. Crop-dusting all my life had every. Chance. Started flying at #16 😂😂. Damn ! It takes a very. Intelligent person. Too do this everyday. And you have to. Love it. And. Be a. Little ! Crazy. ✅💯🤞👍😁✌️😎.
This is the closest thing to being a top gun fighter pilot most of you could actually achieve in your life.
so coool!
When I see or hear a crop duster I sure don't want to here something like a tire going flat
What's the name of this song
Dude that was some sick yaw action at like 5:00 just slid right to the side of that phone pole looks like such an amazing ride!
Stopped viewing immediately! The soundtrack I want to hear is the one a PT-6 turbo makes while moving an AgCat.
The best pilots. And ejection seats, ATC monitoring their path, and helicopters ready to bring them to hospital if they crash like it is in UsA military.
Just watched this video for the first time in 11 years and I remember watching this video as an 18 year old dreaming of doing this , fast forward 11 years and I now fly a -34 powered 400 gallon S2R at night flying produce in the desert southwest. Life can fetch opportunities you just have to be able to work hard for em!
Exept for the music the video is amazing.
I picked some cotton one time with that skip row pattern. Five row narrow in the valley . Close to McAllen tx
Jay Harmon sorry Mr Harmon but your a crop dusting legend in these parts of Arkansas . You have really pulled the throttle back I guess it’s comes with age. I’m not calling you old either. Julio is one of my best buddies. Yea he’s crazy but I love him. I still love to see you fly. Luck to still be here. I remember the crash at long pond. Paul Taylor and Shelby Phillips took you to hospital if I remember right. No matter what I flagged for you one time. And that gap in the turning row you couldn’t go straight thru but if you suddenly turned one wing to ground one to sky shush gap cleared rows counted turn on a dime and here you was. On your way back. Woodruff’ said you buzzed his spray rig and it scared him do bad he flew up in the seat and wham back down in seat. He had a full can of black spray paint in cab. Why? Well who knows. The seat punctured it and it looked like a bomb went off in there well I guess a black bomb did go off. It was all over his face body and everything. The front glass got the worst. Shit we still haven’t got all of it off. Want ever either lol. Hats off to you mr Harmon. Fly on
Low Level Nap of the Earth Flying on a LEVEL no fighter pilot would ever see (LOL) Break Break Break .... Eagle Onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeee (shut valve) Even the music geo tired at the end 😜 I can't believe that Ag Spraying is the most exciting flying errr "sport" to watch these days !!! CHEERS
I'm a member of ground crew for a living. This job is the best job I've ever had, even though it's usually 16hrs a day for a shift
Been there done that...super fantastic!
these guys got the steel balls
Theres Two Planes I Thought Just One
appears that he pulled up a tad for the white truck then quickly went back down and finished that run. these guys that do this don't use traditional aircraft seats, they just sit on their balls. this guy is way ahead.
Damn, you for sure couldn’t do that if you were hungover!
feels like time traveling
Cool
Are crop dusting jobs all only a seasonal?
don't understand how people fly these things over their crops and still make a profit. seems to me like the crop-dust expense alone would make it financially unfeasible
Actually, it saves the farmer money. Planes can spray faster, using less gas, less chemicals, and can cover three times as much work a day as any ground machine. This also means no crop loss from ground machines which produces higher yields for the farmer, and cheaper prices at the store for we, the consumers. :)
@@Jenufir thank you for the explanation
Just curious how did you make crop dusting profitable? At my airport there is one but I havent been able to meet him but I am interested in doing this.
@8:16 Wow....he punched left rudder to skid, thus falling back left wing to avoid the obstacle
Nope.
amazing
tjodalv, just noticing that you've been silent for years. I hope you're alright, and just living life. :)
i am always down for a radial tractor.... if i had muh druthers, i would have studied crop dusting in school, i would use a turbo tractor for day to day, but keep at least one radial in the hangar....
Hi, tjodalv44! Where is this footage taken (state)? And how long had you been spraying in 2008?
@tjodalv44, I was curious as to where this was filmed? My dad sprayed in San Angelo, Texas for 5 years from 2004-2009. Before that, he was mostly in Arkansas and the MS delta. We lost him two years ago, and I'm hoping some day to stumble upon some video of him flying. He sprayed for 38 years before the doc made him stop. Thanks for this video!
Is this Corning Ark....
"It's the wrong field, you idiot! Lucas's field is on the other side of town!"
I crop dust friends at church.
That's stupid
Had a friend who's father did this in Ruskin and Wimuma FL. Anderson was his last name. Ring a bell?
its cool being on the other side of the airshow but not near the road the field is much fun to watch aircraft low passes plane aerobatics the bangs are cool when the Japanese zeros are low
Mom
Is there footage of this landing from outside?
Solo calidad saludos desde costaRica
This is like my favorite video I always watch it over and over again. Great video 😎
Me To😁My Favorite Is Planes
That was slick.
But how do he fit his huge balls into the seat?
See go under electric wires
Hella good flyin'
Growing up, I used to watch pilots fly like this and much more aggressively everyday dusting fields near our home,. I had a favorite plane/pilot combo that was nearby. He flew a clipped wing Piper Pawnee, and would fly very aggressively. He would make a pass then pull vertically hard and just before stalling, stand on the rudder, pivot into a hammerhead turn, then blast back down for another pass! Over the years I saw many crashed crop duster planes. Even watched one crash in person. I saw pilots fly under power lines, pull up at the very last seconds before a tree line, .. you name it!
Sounds awesome
That's how spray pilots get killed.
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my account password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Robert Gerardo Instablaster ;)
Stall turns are a great way of shortening your life span. I lost a house mate to that and airshow itis
