Wow this is actually awesome, I've seen so many lofi tutorials and this is the best one I've ever seen! One thing tho: what about the foley? When I listen to Lofi girl and all her top songs, there's always so much foley which enhances the song so much, and tbh it kinda makes me wanna quit cuz I can't find good samples, and even if I do have good samples, I have no clue where to put them. What are your thoughts?

im so disappointed by so many of the reviews for this game. Everyone is just like "its a walking simulator wahhh" when the real problem is the godawful writing and acting and character animations. Every single character in the game gets a random 5 minute scene where they explain to you in detail what the Pun in their chosen name means and their motivations. This. Is. Terrible. Writing. First of all, all the characters having puns for names is just corny and stupid, it infects all of the dialog in the game with these ridiculous lines where characters just make puns back and forth at eachother, meanwhile Higgs who chose his name as "The particle of god that permeates all existence" is just... trying so hard to be edgy its so painful. And all of the characters flatly saying to you "i do this because blah blah blah" with little to no facial animations whatsoever as the camera zooms in on their face for an *intense* line and its just like... completely anti-climatic. Like, oh really Fragile youre the one who delivered the nuke to that empty destroyed city and blew it up, youre telling me that as you stare blankly into the camera from 4 inches away and a tear streaks down your cheek? Oh no, not the empty buildings, what ever would we do without those empty piles of rubble, its even more rubble than it was previously!!!

I got it for free on Epic Game store. I Installed it and played for a few hours. After that, I uninstalled the game and never touched it since.

Phonk gets a ton of exposure as well because its used a lot in all the “sigma” edits that are pretty inescapable

I wasn't expecting a history lesson, I was expecting something more along the line of a description of the genre itself and notable examples of it. Though if you asked me I probably would have described phonk as heavy rhythmic low notes paired to unusual arrangements of high notes, a piss poor explanation. But my favorite phonk composers are the likes of Umbasa and Moon Deity, which I guess are more hyper-modern TikTok phonk which is scarcely mentioned in the video so what do I know?

To be honest, I still prefer the aggression of drift phonk (Especially Override). It is just very easy to get behind, especially during a workout, or when you're practicing combat sports.
