Vehicles dealerships are Dirt bags, lairs and thieves.
Wow, that's crazy. Who knew there was a crappy transmission hooked to that dial....oh it's a Ford....everyone knows.
Hey thats just justice been served for cheating ppl and overpricing stuff for yrs to customers. See how god works?? Makes u lose that money u cheat hard working ppl for.
You don’t even know me. If you think I’m that type of person you clearly don’t watch enough of my content.
Easily the most complicated item in a car, except for the driver.
Never heard a truer statement. I can handle cars all day long. It’s the people that drive you crazy.
................oh my god.... this is worse than me and my coworker almost breaking my managers car.....
Wow, thanks for the protip on how to abandon a car
I really hate all of this garbage “technology” in these vehicles today. I love seeing people open the hood of an older vehicle, and pretty much all the only thing you see is an engine without all of the peripheral nonsense.
He drained the tranny, and filled the motor
The problem with dealerships is the business model. Most techs work for a wage just to buy tools and a junker to commute to work in. If they get fast at flat rate they make money for easy maintenance jobs. Proper Diagnosis doesnt pay the bills. Throw parts at it....quickly!
They get you to buy a trans then sell yours they made 16,000 off 2 people
The lady was the mobile mechanic 😂
Nissans are rubbish.
Just buy a manual 😂😂😂
The idiot who worked on the car drained the transmission fluid, and then put the 6 quartz in to the motor instead of the transmission! I've heard about this type of thing before. As with CVTs which more than some mechanics don't take regard to, is the CVT transmission oil must be exactly to the manufacture specs. If not the transmission will soon be damaged. Because there was not enough lubricant in the transmission it was obviously over heated. This transmission had to have some damage. From the description in this video, I would place my bet that this transmission is going to soon fail. The poor customer may not have proper evidence to prove the previous mechanic's fault. A new CVT can cost anywhere from $4000 to $8000 to replace depending on the type. When the dealer inspects the transmission for warranty claim they will be able to tell it was run without proper oil, and would consider this transmission to be tampered with. This is why I tell people, unless you know absolutely for sure a private mechanic is absolutely competent it is best to go to the dealer for any type of maintenance. The dealer will charge maybe 10% to 20% more because of their high cost of operation, but the work done will be warrantied, and it should be done right. I have also seen motors not properly serviced and failed. The motor did not have the proper type of oil put in to it. Very costly for the customer because warranty was void.
that transmission swap probably cost US$10k altogether. she could get another 2013 Altima for that money. The problem is these people dont think before getting it serviced.
Cheaper to make and something to break
Maybe new cars are too expensive to repair
I wouldn’t even start the work without 1/2 the money upfront, or at least make customers pay for parts
Hello, I passed my 2018 Nissan kicks in flood water. It stopped immediately. I tried starting it several times but it won't start. Till I got a mechanic to kick start it continuously we ended up with so much water coming out the exhaust. After some days the cvt transmission went out. We were advised to have it completely replaced with the brand new one. But due to financial constraints we bought a used one. Unfortunately it keeps jerking and you can smell something burning from the engine. Also when you accelerate it loses power and you will have to restart the vehicle before you can get it to move. Recently we diagnosed the car after changing the transmission a second time and got an error code of p0744 torque converter clutch intermittent. Please can you help. What must be done to fix the car?
I have to wonder why whoever the service advisor didn't decline the job. According to KBB this vehicle is only worth $6.4k in excellent condition & a transmission repair job costs about $5k.
I thank God every day that my Altima is a '15 and has the "revised" CVT. Probably still going to explode someday, but I don't have to constantly worry about it dying because I looked at it funny.
The mechanic gave back a Subaru wit a near fried transmission with a very clean engine with near blown seals...😮
I wish that I would have used that trick at VW after they gouged me with incompetent mechanical work.
Have the deadbeats in your area pay up front or work doesn't get done
Maybe, you should "repair" the equiptment instead of FORCING the customers to eat a $8,000 new replacement. At least give them that option. People will probably be more apt to pay a $3,000 bill, rather than a bill HIGHER than what the car is worth. People can be trash, but so can mechanics.
One Word 'Deposit'
This is why I buy EVs. 130k miles combined between the 2 and never a single problem and only have needed wipers and cabin air filters.
190k is crazy no wonder they didn't come back 😂
I can see ditching an old junker if you can’t afford the bill I guess, but a 2013? That’s crazy
Never, and I MEAN NEVER take your vehicle to the dealership to be fixed!!!
It’s rare to find a good customer who picks up the phone and pay the bill with out whining
Womp womp. Mechanics will never stop fixing cars. I worked in the auto industry for about 3 years. Some of the biggest crooks I met were mechanics.
My buddy complains about that same problem...he's not a happy camper with this profession..
Never buying a car with a transmission again. Tesla ftw.
A put six quarts of transmission fluid in the engine
So, I should be looking at auto repair shops for my next used car?
One thing that I believe influences this is ,due to the current economy, people later find they cannot afford the repairs they authorized This all has a cause and effect on repair costs
189k miles bro is prob only going to break even on the transmission not the labor or tow
That 4 cyl Altima is worth 1500 and trans job was probably 5000😊
If they wanted to get rid of the car why not just donate it and get a twx write off? I don't believe people would just hand over free money like that. Something else is going on.
How much for the Cadillac?
I need u ASAP
How much you want for the car?
95 percent of people aren’t honest . So sad . I learned as a child that honesty is the number one thing in life and if you aren’t life will teach you the hard way.
I hate going to mechanics because they try so hard to force you into repairs you can’t afford.
Hey bud, my name is Art. I would like to know if you have a friend that is an amazing And honest. mechanic like you out here in Orange County california. Because I an honest mechanic like you. I'm tired Of getting fucked at the dealership. Please let me know.
You're mad you got a free car?
This is every service industry on the planet. At least the bad debts are a tax write off.
Transmission issue? Shocker lol
They're been doing this stuff years. Even your 4×4, your column shifter or floor shifter, most have been electronically controlled the last 15 maybe 20 years. Very few vehicles have had a cable controlled system in the last decade. Why do you think most vehicle manufacturers don't even offer a manual transmission in the USA. It'd cost too much to retool the factories to do so. So electronically controlled steering, shifting and sometimes braking are the new normal. That's why I drive a 78 F250 no electronically controlled stuff on that one.
