The amazing thing about this performance which was in 2013 at the Wacken metal festival the largest festival in Europe, she was not there regular singer she was a substitute for this show, because they're regular singer was unable to perform. This is basically the first time that she played with the band and she had not sung all these songs you know hundreds of times. That's how incredible she is. The whole last part of this performance of this song she improvised live and the band just followed her lead. Needless to say she became their permanent and current singer.

Tbh... I love your energy and genuine suprise and curiosity. The brakes in between are perfectly arranged. Don't worry about negative comments. The majority of viewers know you have to deal with copyrights and necessary brakes. I'm not a singer. So listening to your analysis in my language is simply lovely.. 🙂 Funny enough, about this video or Nightwish/Floor Jansen, the more you watch it, the less surprises it holds and you start to see the painting in the colours. Amazing, innit. I mean we all can paint somehow. I recently painted half a wall white. Looked amazing! But it's not a Rembrandt, van Gogh or Warhol. The longer you watch, or the more often you do, you start to hear the music in these Nightwish songs. All of it. From cello to drum and from guitar I vocals. And how together they become an artistic masterpiece..... A proper Rembrandt... Nice and genuine reaction.. thank you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷 Keep doing your thing like in this video, and we will all enjoy it. It was so much fun watching you (and others) reactions. The favorite response is, "You have just been Floored !" Welcome to (then) miss Floor Jansen and Nightwish. I assume, since the upload says a year ago, that you have watched more Nightwish since then. In case you did not realize it, she was tagged by Nightwish to be a replacement singer when their regular singer bailed out in the middle of a world tour. (Check out the DVD "Please Learn the Setlist in 48 Hours" on TH-cam, which is a documentary of the tour that resulted in Floor joining Nightwish. The performance you just reacted to was at Waken Open Air festival (in Germany I believe) before an audience of 84,000. This was possibly the third concert she had performed with them, and after this show, they asked and she accepted, the position as their lead singer. She was the third female vocalist ,a d with her, Nightwish finally "found their voice." If you haven't already, find this FULL CONCERT on TH-cam. Also, be sure to search for Floor and her work OUTSIDE of Nightwish. As a footnote, Nightwish was formed in the 1980s by high-school friends as a rock band band. Then they asked Tarja Tournen to be their singer, NOT REALIZING SHE WAS CLASSICALLY TRAINED IN OPERA. The sound that founded the Symphonic Metal genre (metal band with an operatic female singer) Bands like Evanescence, Epica, and others have referenced them as their inspiration. After a number of years (probably over 10) they kicked Tarya out of the band, causing controversy among their following. Tarja had a lovely voice and good range, but her voice never had the power of Floor's voice. The second vocalist was a Swedish woman named Annette. I never watched her much, and I happened to return to Nightwish almost exactly when Floor joined them. Of course, Floor is classically trained and she is also a vocal coach. She has been in a number of bands, and she has appeared with Tarja, a long-time friend, even after she joined Nightwish. She has dropped in for a duet with Simone Simons, lead singer for Epica, during one of their concerts. However, I think my favorite was her taking part in a TV show where 6 or so professional vocalists are given challenges to sing different styles. It is great fun. When not singing, the other members do reactions... live and following the current performance. Floor consistently blew them all away. BTW she growls, too.
