I actually just bought this game today so I'm late to the party too.

I felt the same about the music! I watched some of the making of videos they released and if you haven’t seen them I’d recommend looking them up. There was some talk on the music there, and if I recall correctly it was all made in house.

Best beginner rouguelike of all time. You can call it "God Mode" all you want but it's "Pity Mode" and, yes please, I'll take it.

Hades didn't change my opinion on roguelikes (i don't like them), but i'm still glad i gave it a chance because i DO love Supergiant's games. and i will never regret buying the soundtrack. Darren Korb is an insanely good composer. and also the voice of Skelly! if you haven't played Supergiant's other games i highly recommend at least trying them. even if the gameplay isn't your jam, you can still get a lot out of the art, story and music. Pyre is my favorite.

The uploader doesn’t know the games as well as he should. These are tower defense games. Meaning the towers you place do 90% of the work. As fun as DD2 was, The game was a grind fest with a cash shop. And most despise cash shops. Mainly because developers put all the good stuff behind a pay wall. And make progressing very slow if you don’t spend the money. DD1 though was an absolute legend( although the games pretty much dead now ) I had 800 hours playtime on the steam version. My biggest complaint with DDA is they just threw the player menu together. Making it very easy to delete your character.

I’m a fan of hatoful! Though you didn’t enjoy it overall, I’m glad you gave it enough of a chance to reach and enjoy the bad boys love route! You’d be surprised how many “reviews” stop at “haha dumb pigeon game.” If I may offer my differing opinion, I do think the romance routes overall add to the experience of the game for me personally. Though they *ARE* tedious, they also offer tons of clever bits of foreshadowing and hooks so that the payoff of bad boys love is all the sweeter. Little things like Sakuya’s talk he wants to have with Yuuya at the end of Yuuya’s route (wanting to reveal his secret,) the fact your character is assassinated if you fail to romance anybirdie, and Shuu’s strange,, everything, plus there are the surprisingly emotional ends of Ryouta and Nageki’s routes! Though they’re slow and not told in a way that’s perfectly satisfying, all that build up makes the true end hit so dang hard! I love it! I know it’s not for everyone, but hatoful boyfriend and its sequel holiday star will always be favs of mine!

Trackmania Nations Forever is better In every way except graphical fidelity wise.

I adore Citizen sleeper so much - I’m on my second playthrough of it, this time as an extractor rather than machinist and I still can’t get enough of it. When I first saw it on gamepass I was practically immediately hooked from the thumbnail of it, the robot Android looking thing with the pink-ish background was so striking?? Against everything else?? And I was like Hell yeah I need to try this. I was pretty intimidated by the dice system at first, but im so glad it wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be 💀- reminds me a little of Disco elysium!! The art style. Ohhh my god it is gorgeous to me I LOVE the outfits for the characters, the poses, the expressions, the way everyone looks so different from each other but also so clearly belong to the same place - and I thought their outfits were really well done as they really showed what kind of people they were (occupation wise etc) from first meeting. Lem my beloved,, though Ethan is definitely my favourite because of the sheer audacity of the man. Also : Hawaiian shirt. Plus the background!!! The BACKGROUND!!! It is genuinely so cool the way it’s modelled. The Eye isn’t overly detailed but it also has so many shapes and areas and I can’t even describe it My first playthrough as machinist, I had no idea what I was doing - my condition broke and I was panicking about what to do so hard LMAO I got scraps of metal to repair myself like my Life depended on it (it did, to be fair: but I didn’t die!!) and I was so enamoured with everyone’s drive. Even then though, I had no idea how much there actually was to the game, so when Lem’s drive came up, I immediately took the chance to get Sleeper and him off of the eye, and when I read the description of what sleeper thought what would happen, it was so so bittersweet I actually teared up. I really love what they’ve done with the characters. So far, I’ve started Tala , Navigator, Castor and Bliss’ drives, gotten further on Feng’s, finished Ankhita’s , Emphis’, Ethan’s and Lem’s drives and I haven’t even begun on other things because I’m just skipping from one place to the next - which I’m personally a huge fan of. I checked my stats for the game and in total I’ve played like 12 hours,,, I cannot wait for citizen sleeper 2 as well oh my god it’s gonna be sick

Can I just add that the platinum for this game, unless you're like... *really* good with Souls-like games, will *absolutely* take you up to - and quite likely beyond - the 50 hour mark. Master Spirit Guide is *no* joke - *especially* on New Game+ mode, and there're certain charmstones (which were introduced in the game's 1 year anniversary update) that make it a lot easier and more fun!! Has anyone done the plat - or working towards it? Let's chat!! 🤔

Try Helldivers 1. The first game. Because there's a good reason for the "2" in Helldivers 2 and that is because the first game was already perfect. The new one just got more marketing, looks nicer and is overall more mainstream.

Its not that none had heard of it, just the ones who spent time in the game and wished for the game to get completed with expansion dlc, the company ( Mercurysteam ) ignore them.

i skipped to the conclusion to avoid spoilers as much as possible (haven't finished this game yet), but i will come back to watch the rest later. i find this game (so far) to be extremely charming, but i do have a certain level of tolerance for games that are very light on gameplay as long as i enjoy the world and/or characters--and Harold Halibut seems very focused on its characters (with some interesting worldbuilding thrown in as well). honestly, i think the behind-the-scenes is the most interesting part of the game. it's styled after stop-motion animation, but it's actually entirely animated in 3D. what the team did was take 3D photogrammetry scans of puppets and every set/location and turn all that into the world, props and characters. the actual puppets they made aren't articulated. it makes the world feel so unique, though, and a lot more "real" in a sense than just a 3D model would. also, i feel like added the bit where Harold sings in because his voice actor is an actual opera singer. i'm not complaining, though.

Seems like they really wanted to make a claymation film but decided to go with a video game for reasons unknown. It's a shame, the art style and overall aesthetic is really charming.
