Blasphemy
Mimic +10 and Ginza Wheel +10 and the fight isn't that hard. We can wreak even more destruction with two Gizna wheels, I recommend it.

The first time i entered stormveil castle it just blew my mind, the architecture was simply stunning
A large number of buildings and houses have sunken into the swamp in Liurnia. Volcano manor has melted its entire city away. The area between the inner and outer walls of Leyndell was destroyed in battles and used to be houses. Caelid would have had houses all over it until Malenia destroyed it.
any caelids? (people who cleared caelid before stormviel)
It's probably my favorite open world map of all time. At first it seems small because you can see almost everything in the distance. Stormveil Castle looks like the end game though. A massive castle on a hill...why not? But then you realize it's just a mediocre castle owned by the runt of the litter, and the scope of the map hits you. Things are just massive, and in first-person how I play that's all exaggerated.
Its a garbage ubisoft open world. The dubgeons, mines, caves and ruins were the most boring garbage i have ever Visited. If this was a ubisoft game you all would be crying
@@noblenormie1179 dunno wtf you're talking about. You sound liked a triggered DS fanboi or some shit lul.
@@noblenormie1179 you sound like a triggered DS fanboi console nub
@@noblenormie1179 stick to your console
The very first thing I did was go to the lake, run aqay from the dragon, go into the lake ruins, open a teleporting chest, getting destroyed by miner enemys and running all through caelid to finally get back to liurnia. It took me about 5 hours to get torrent. So me dumbass had quite a shitty start
I think the part that doesn’t make much sense right outside the capital is sorta reminding you one last time to check off the path and explore, Altus is where volcano manor is, it’s where many quests occur, there are ancient dragons with lore etc., It feels like they are sorta poking you one last time saying “hey remember there’s a lot more besides the main path” the path on a lot of the side content isn’t obvious at all so it feels like a big poke before you get to farum Azula and a lot of the game changes permanently
I just ran straight past stormveil in my first playthrough because I just didn‘t see it.
Y'all realuze the map is a mermaid-esk Eldritch horror or is it just me?
My 1st gameplay, i ended up at the beach, got scared of the monster who heals by eating himself, then he jump so high tol kill me, after that i uninstalled the game
❤
Metroidvanias taught me that if the game show you the way to go, it means i have to go absolutely everywhere first.
Why kill Iji? Keeping him alive forces me to travel tediously.
"Go out, kill a man for a slice of bread."
i personally hate the map design
cool theory but just one issue, the game does tell u where to go by making directions using sites of grace
I mean most people who play this game end up googling where to go or what to do, I wouldn’t call this good gameplay or map design in general. TBH Elden Ring glazers absolutely refuse to see faults with the game and how it generally plays, yes you can see the giant castle far away but you also go there right away and you will just get blasted. There’s a lot of areas that are very confusing and not just in the open world parts, the game obfuscates its goals and expects players to just keep exploring to figure it out. Which if youre playing this game, WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO DO? So yea you will EVENTUALLY figure it out but not because of great map design but because youre playing the game, you dont naturally get inclined to go anywhere outside of just exploring the map and finding the landmarks and what’s going on with all of them. You dont go to the school academy for any reason outside of exploration the same way you go to a cave on the side of a mountain in this game. There’s no good map design the stupid bolts on the map do nothing because they point in fifty different directions and give little to no idea what they even mean. The whole idea that Elden Ring guides players with visual cues is laughable to me, the game guides players with the sense that if they want to play the game they just have to go figure things out for themselves, that’s it. Yes the world design looks good, is the map design good? Hell no, it’s actually terrible IMO.
Beautiful
you have to go to Frumbling Caarum Azula
1 day after I started playing I saw this video but didn't watch it and now I see it again and get to watch it
i been playing since 2022, didnt realise at 8:55 the door was closed to prevent flooding. 😅
that gate into Leyndel does not hold in water, there is actually an empty drop off on the other side of the gate into an abyss. There are locations within Leyndel where you can see the other side of the gate.
Call me stupid, but somehow it never clicked in my head the main doors of Leyndell are closed because there is nothing but a lot of water behind them. I always thought there would be a bridge, or there would be a tunnel under the water.
It's so impressive most people over look it because they think it's just backdrop. It sticks to the formula of the dark souls games. If you see a place in the background you can go there
Saying lyndell is simple is cap. It is the most complicated dungeon in this game. I had to look up how to get to the morgott
you’re implying new players will be able to and should head straight to margit and then godrick. i think that’s a little absurd. only experienced souls players will be able to beat both of these bosses without any early game levels/weapons/smithing stones. new souls players will likely either spend a lot of time in limgrave and make their way south, or they will find themselves at a wall in stormveille, and will likely head back into limgrave if they dont give up the game
just because
When I fist saw moghs colosseum from Nokron , i spent so long trying to figure out how to get there
I end up in caelid the first time cause i wanted to explore
You can actually entirely skip stormveil by taking the destroyed bridge. I don't know if it's intentional, but it just entirely skips margit and godfrey.
I legit killed Margot Godrick I skipped Rayna Lucaria cause I didn’t know about the seal. I killed the DTS and the game said “you have to prove yourself to continue”. I called my brother in law after 2 days killing bosses and it saying this when he asked, “did you kill Radahn?” I said who’s Radahn? He explained his location. He said “you gotta kill him” I went to redmane castle and killed the man turned beast then I went back and walked through. I killed the giant and maliketh, after that pathing was the same. I loved the end of elden ring, ohh yeah I used Golden Halberd through all of this and “got gud” with the golden halberd. I than respected to kill Godfrey with Rob then I got radagon. When I went to fight the elden beast the 18th time he broke glitched and stayed in place…. I killed him that way and now I play the game as I do… I’ve beat the game about 6 times and now am going to the dlc with a minimalist build with the best sword in the game. (The greatsword)
the fact that u can see the forge from the very first grace is so beautiful thank you for pointing that out it helps u feel the sheer scale of the world and it makes the journey feel so much bigger than it seems
TomyJohn I am your biggest fan
Elden Ring has incredible word building but, I mean, is it really that clever to have come up with the idea of putting the big dungeon in the center of the area? Sure, it's a good way to build the world, but putting important places prominently is the very basis of game design, so... Yes, good job for doing your job, Fromsofware
At the start, you didn't point out that you can see the Chapel of Anticipation, the actual starting point, to the left of Stormveil Castle, at the complete opposite end of the Mountaintop of Giants. And of course you can't see it, but out in the distance, in the sky past the forge? That's where Farum Azula is.
The map is built like a circle you need to pass through on region to get to the other plus they incentivize you to follow the story by make making each area more difficult than the last
So what you’re saying is that it’s a long way to get to the tree …
It's hard to believe elden ring is the first world-wide game myazaki did, this icon everything he's touch turns to gold
How the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid looks from that starting area in Limgrave has always bothered me. It’s too big for how far away it is from us in. Once you cross over into Caelid, the Sanctum gets smaller instead of getting larger. It should be the other way round. And the positioning is way off. That cliff the sanctum is sitting on is pushed so far up into the skyline. Sole purpose being that it teases us players that a building is out there. We shouldn’t be able to see the building at all if the positioning was accurate. Very needy nitpick.
Curiosity is not a dumb thing. But I understand your point of the tree
I think the capitol entrance is intentionally confusing to make you go explore other areas like Caelid or parts of lurnia that you havent explored yet. That's what I did on my first playthrough, and it's how I found Radhan and a lot of dungeons/caves.
As videogamedunkey once said… “WHOA! THIS. GAME. BIGGGGGGGG!”
Lol, Tears of the Kingdom.
What's up with the title? The map was definitely talked about early on especially in reviews

Theres a shortcut to Liurnia if you go straight pass the overpass before making it to the first boss, so not too bad to get to him. it's actually one of my first places to go when I unlock reduvia for my somber stones.
