    I have a 2016 Platinum Crew Cab Standard Bed with the 5.0L. I specifically wanted the V8 because of all the cam phaser issues with the earlier 3.5’s. Also, since the ecoboost has twin turbos, all the extra air being recirculated back into the motor will increase pressure throughout the engine, leading to premature wear. I average about 16mpg in my 5.0, it looks like you get about 17mpg in your 3.5. Fuel economy really isn’t too far off all things considered. I also have the longer wheelbase making my truck heavier. It’s a full size pickup, the V8 should be the standard option they all come with. Also, no Ecoboost can compare to the roar or a coyote. Nice video but I completely disagree with your opinion on which motor should be in these half tons.

    My 2015 F-150 Lariat - Transmission failed at 125k miles. Panoramic roof has broken for the fourth time now, dual control air is broken and only blows cold air on passenger side. Plastic parts on the running boards constantly come off where you step. Tailgate won't open with the push button anymore.... just for starters.

      Id get the carfax and verify history. I had a friend buy a used truck and the transmission go out along with a bunch of electrical problems. He investigated and found out it was a flood damaged truck totaled by an insurance company and then resold with lower odometer number and clean title. Sued dealer and got money back.

      glad to hear you found what you like. We can all have our own ideas - Merica! I know a fleet manager at a construction company who says the GM products are decent as long as you replace factory fluids and work on rust prevention. GM clutches dirty up the trans fluid and you should change your fluid more often in a GM truck. GM v8s are hard on valvetrain and you need to stick tight on oil changes. here is what I found on chat gpt hope it helps. Thanks for wathcing and commenting. Keep us honest and accurate. The GMC Yukon is a popular full-size SUV known for its spacious interior However, it has more than its share of issues. Here’s a look at some of the most frequent problems reported by owners and how to address or prevent them: 1. Transmission Issues Problem: Some Yukon owners have reported transmission problems, including hard shifts or slipping. Prevention/Fix: Regularly check and change the transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. If you experience issues, have a professional inspect the transmission and address any problems early to avoid costly repairs. 2. Engine Problems Problem: Engine issues such as excessive oil consumption or timing chain problems have been noted in some models. Prevention/Fix: Adhere to the recommended maintenance schedule, including regular oil changes and engine inspections. For timing chain issues, addressing any unusual noises or performance problems promptly with a mechanic can prevent more severe damage. 3. Electrical System Issues Problem: Problems with electrical systems, including issues with the infotainment system or dashboard components. Prevention/Fix: Keep the vehicle’s electrical system in check by performing regular maintenance and addressing any warning lights or malfunctioning components immediately. Updating the software for the infotainment system can also resolve some issues. 4. Suspension Wear Problem: Suspension components, such as the air suspension system (in some models), can wear out or fail. Prevention/Fix: Regularly inspect suspension components and address any signs of wear or unusual handling. Ensuring proper alignment and balancing can also extend the life of the suspension system. 5. Braking System Issues Problem: Some owners have reported issues with the braking system, including premature wear of brake pads and rotors. Prevention/Fix: Follow a regular maintenance schedule for the braking system, including checking and replacing brake pads and rotors as needed. Pay attention to any changes in braking performance and address them promptly. 6. Fuel System Problems Problem: Fuel pump issues or problems with fuel injectors have been reported in some cases. Prevention/Fix: Use high-quality fuel and ensure that the fuel system is regularly inspected and maintained. Address any fuel system-related symptoms, such as rough idling or poor acceleration, with a mechanic. 7. Cooling System Issues Problem: Cooling system failures, including radiator leaks or overheating issues, have been reported. Prevention/Fix: Regularly check coolant levels and the condition of hoses and the radiator. Flushing and replacing coolant according to the manufacturer’s schedule can help prevent overheating and other cooling system problems.

The Nissan Armada S trim was available during the following years: - **2004-2009**: The first generation of the Nissan Armada, known initially as the Pathfinder Armada, included an S trim level. - **2017-present**: The second generation of the Nissan Armada reintroduced the S trim as the base model, and it continues to be offered in the current model lineup. So, you could get a Nissan Armada S in the 2004-2009 and 2017-present model years.

    My opinion is this: 2015-2017 F150 with the 5.0. I have a 2015 with the 5.0 that has 112,000 miles on it now. I average 18 mpg (hand calc) with 80% highway 20% city driving. The 5.0 also has plenty of power and is less complex than EcoBoosts. My dad has a 2016 2.7 and is having waste gate issues while I have nothing wrong. I say 2015-2017 because the gen 2 coyote is the most reliable engine without oil consumption. The 6R80 is also a solid transmission, and the body being aluminum means my truck is spotless even though it’s a 9 year old rust belt truck. Last thing is I would keep up on all fluid changes and undercoat the truck. Doing all of that, the truck will last a very long time.

    • @52Weekends52

      The start/stop is easy enough to disable a few different ways including a $99 harness that plugs in behind the switch. Also can be disabled with Forscan or by disconnecting a harness at the battery. It's really a non issue of you are buying one of those models.

      As stated in video, mpg is subjective based own who is driving and where they are driving. For me personally, I get better with the 3.5 turbo. drive the same highway/city mix at same speeds and see what happens. Empty truck, or in mountain altitude - get the v6 turbo. Pulling a load, get the 5.0. If you drop the cruise to 56mph on level interstate with no load, you can pull 20mpg with the 5.0. Its subjective by driver, speed and load. thanks!

    In the past 15 years this is what I'd recommend and I have owned them all and done extensive research. I cannot comment on 2.7 though as I haven't owned it. Prior to 2011, don't bother. 2021-Present, don't bother. 2011-2014 5.0 V8 (probably last dependable long lasting truck. A metal truck with a simple V8 and 6 speed) 2015-2017 5.0 V8 (Aluminum started but EcoBoost still had GEN 1 issues. Truck was more of an SUV and targeted families) 2018-2020 3.5 GEN 2 EB (5.0 had issues these years but the EB has the GEN 2 now. 10 speed is hit or miss) I currently have a 2020 3.5 built prior to lockdowns. It has been a great vehicle but I do find myself missing my 2013 Platinum often. I had a 2022 Tremor I hated and it had all kinds of issues. After 2021 I will buy a RAM or Toyota.

    • @52Weekends52
      @52Weekends52 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      youtubers can prove anything they want - true or not. Topgear proved that with ev stuff. Essentially, if you get in the payload and speed range where the ecoboost is optimized, it is better. But as soon as you get over that and the ecoboost starts dumping fuel to hit the speed, the 5.0 beats it. Buddy has 5.0. Pulling two snowmobiles or atvs on open trailer, the 3.5 wins. As soon as we add two more guys and an enclosed trailer for 4 sleds or atvs, the ecoboost works so hard that it doesn't stand a chance against the 5.0.

    I have a 2016 f150 with the 5.0 and get 18 mpg ,great motor, and don't have to worry about the turbo going out. B.L.W. Your check engine light is on.

      mileage will vary based on who is driving and how they are driving. Driving for fuel economy versus driving like you stole it to beat your buddy to the boat landing

    Bro u can get a 6.5 ft bed on the crewcab. It's considered a long bed option on the CrewCab. I had one and with tailgate down no problem with a dirtbike in the back. The floor console is 100% nicer if u like bucket seats in the front instead of the 60/40 split bench. I personally don't like the column shifter, I actually love buckets. I guess it's what u prefer.

      what they offered is differeent than what is available on used market. Id love a 6.5 on the four door, but I just don't ever see used ones for sale. id bet that over 90% of f150 made since around 2013 were 4 door 5.5foot bed

    Another pro g.m guy I've never seen a frame rust in half or bumpers completely rust apart or tailgates and the g m. multiplex tailgate malfunction from ice and snow and g.m has never had good paint! for years they used lacuer paint now they use acrylic enamel now if they could figure out how to get rid of the orange peel

      they make them better against rust every year, but the trucks last longer and longer too. When I was a kid in 70's, a 10 year old pickup on the road was a unicorn - and it was all rusted out. Now, 20 year old trucks aren't that uncommon. They need to have them rustproofed for 20 years instead of 5. Tough problem to solv.e

      Agreed! Fatbikes are great. Electric assist is even greater. Still a tremendous workout, but I’m never scared that I might hold up the group. I just add more boost. If you get to wisconsin, look me up. If I get to MS I’ll come ride with you.
