I had a solid 60 fps the entire game running on a 2060 RTX with 8gb of ram... There is no reason for you to be at 30 unless you have an old or unoptimized rig.

I know that the game is considered to be bad, but it atill holds a special place in my heart, and is still among my favorites. The story, the charscters, some gameplay elements and the atmosphere just rope me in every time. I can't help it

Just found this channel, love it, criminally undersubbed. Every video is so good, I have to disagree with the conclusion though, this IP was really quite good for what it was but like every other IP once you have 2 bad games they die and don't recover, it seems like every IP is on the same terrible trajectory and you can get wildly good games like Baldurs gate or Kingdom Come or Last of Us or RD3, there's a bloat and a cancer that's pervasive in the industry, I think bad games are the norm and a sometimes something like cyberpunk or last of us is an outlier in either direction, there are some good studios and mostly terrible ones. Bethesda could be right at the bottom.

this happens when there are too many designers and artists on the team and too little creative enjoyers ,, or ,, well, actual gamers maybe. Aside from obviously that procedural generating stuff SUCKS I do get it a little because it was one of these buzzwords that at the time got people to invest.

Bought the complete edition for 3€ and felt scammed after playing this mess for a few hours. It's utterly unfinished and flawed by design. The story and setting are pretty unique though. But it fails to be a survival game, an immersive sim, a stealth game or whatever else it wanted to be.

I'm so sad that this game flopped, it genuinely had so much potential. The story felt a lot like BioShock x A Clockwork Orange x 1984 crossover and I was so excited when we were first introduced to the game. Such a shame...

I remember funding this game, because I loved Contrast and the art style. Could have been so much better. I haven't even finished We happy few yet.

AH yes, the game I was excited for because of the JT song and then everyone hated on it and I never tried it. Granted I did not have the money for it I was like 15 years old.

I lost my great-grandma to dementia. It broke me when she forgot me over and over and over again. But not once did she stop loving me or treating me kindly. When her death-aversary came around, mom finally told me it runs in our family. That it's just part of our family getting old. That soon we'll have to go through it with my grandma (her mom). And even though it's been over a decade since my great-grandma passed from it, even longer since she really struggled with it and went to a care facility, it still stings. I hope I have the heart to endure it again and again. Spiral seems to be a game made from a lot of love from people that have experienced what it's like being around people suffering from dementia. I'll have give it a shot when I'm in a better place and perhaps if I struggle explaining what it's like with it, I'll offer it up to friends. It seems to have a beautiful sadness built into the game, which is usually what's left behind after the hurt starts to fade. I am so appreciative that we're getting more games that explore emotions involving things like that.

I really love the project zomboid love. I know it's in development hell but at least new stuff gets added every so often

I don't get what your problem with paper mache tanks is. Obviously it's ment to be cartoonish and it's more about the general idea, just communicated in a whimsical way. I think you're ment to extend your disbelief because unbelievable things happen in this game all the time.

It is a alright game if it had better mechanics and maybe a better storyline it would have been a great game

this game is the embodiment of zombie features; With rather good presentation akin to games that actually have mechanical depth, almost every single feature feels undercooked.

I'd kill for a We Happy Few adaptation into a TV show, or a book, or comic, anything really. There is such an amazing story that is weighed down so heavily by an abysmal game. Watching videos about We Happy Few's story is so much more enjoyable than experiencing it through the game itself. You aren't bogged down with multiple fetch-quests in a row, pointless stealth, easy combat, and a vapid open world that adds nothing but padding.

They had a good concept...just didn't know how the fuck to execute it.

I feel like almost everyone has the similar experience of watching the reveal trailer on e3, being extremely invested in the world and premise then seeing it was a early acess survival meter ridden nightmare and letting out a deep dissapointed "oh."

The reveal shoulda been that the baby really was a rat.

It has its flaws, but i still have fond memories of watch dogs 2, it had its moments

The creature you see at about the 15 min mark is part of the great race of yith and they are just as weird in the game as they are in canon

Great review! While I personally enjoyed the game, you make very good points. Your questioning behind some of the reasoning in this game is very valid. As simple some mechanics were and how weirdly put together this game was, I still enjoyed my time bumbling around the world doing side quests and essentially playing a looting simulator. Sad to hear this game was suffering for you but happy you made a well thought video review about it. ♡ By the way, it’s bugging me so much, what song plays at 1:10:10? It’s so familiar to me but I can’t for the life of me put a name on it!

this entire game looks stolen from bioshock, at one point i saw "the lamb" in subtitles so they even stole the names

Memories are such an interesting thing to me. Just by accessing them by remebering them we change them. Constantly. But many times, the meaning they hold never changes like you mention. Love, laughter, joy, sadness, melancholy. They're emotions shared with the people, places, and things within the memories. Maybe that's a form of love sharing those moments with others ones we remember.

They made Arthur so unlikable and a jackass, I think his ending was too forgiving considering the stuff he's said and done. That Sally part was especially infuriating like, he's so petty about some stupid teenage relationship that he refuses some very useful help. I'd have uninstalled the game on the spot after that scene.

Honestly, after playing this game, whoever wrote it and approved needs to be investigated. I feel like someone's personal beliefs definitely influenced the story.

My Question is, which game would you recommand for a new casual gamer, chronological with Old Blood then New Order?

This game is built on a great idea, in theory. It's not that it was executed poorly, it's that the idea wasn't really executed at all. The mechanics are shallow and the story is fed to the player in drips of exposition. It all adds up to a disappointing nothing of a game.

Hide in a trashcan simulator 😆 at least played out part 1 with Arthur to finish that story
