10-16-24: Clips Of Life In Wonderful Himalayas, Nature & Bit Of Tibetan Buddhist Culture
Hi friends. Here are some short videos I recorded for family and friends sharing a small taste of the wonderful nature, energy and culture in the awesome SoloKhumbu Mt. Everest region of Nepal. I also share a veryyyy small bit of information, coming from my very limited understanding and experience of different aspects of Tibetan Buddhist culture such as mani / prayer wheels, prayer flags, mani stones etc.
May you be happy and at peace 😊😘.

Hellllo friends :). Greetings from a small, serene Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the very beautiful and majestic Nepali Himalayas not far from Mount Everest / Sagarmatha. I’m planning on doing my first TWIM retreat at Dhamma Sukha. Aside from Delson, is there a teacher you recommend? Right now the options are David Johnson or Bhante Kusala. I’m from California if that means anything. Who would you recommend?

      Greetings friend. Good for you for taking action into your hands! I’ve met Bhante Kusala briefly. David has lots of experience over many years with Bhante Vimalaramsi and basically managing Dhamma Sukha. Bhante has years of experience living the Dhamma life as a fully ordained monk from a country that has a deep culture of the teachings of the Buddha. Perhaps watch some videos of Dhamma talks each of them have given and see which you resonate the most with. Best Wishes with the retreat and the journey in general. I’ll be happy to hear anything you care to share about your experience if you’d like to share.

    Answer to question, How processed oil cost less than not processed. Example groundnut oil to extract one liter we need approx 3kg, 1 kg is approx ₹150, so we need 3x150= ₹450/liter. This is cost for not processed oil. Now processed oil what I heard from news and social media some substance will be added (you can search in google l don’t want mention it here😊) and how companies can sell groundnut oil for ₹100/liters god knows😊. Thank you for introducing to good ayurveda centre👍

      Hello friend Wizard, how was the retreat? Hmm I didn’t see this comment, please excuse me. Doug Kraft is a really great person, meditator and teacher. One of Bhante Vimalaramsi’s old friends and students. He lives in Sacramento area. easingawake.com/ Bhante Ananda is a friendly, happy Canadian Theravada monk who practiced TWIM for several years and leads retreats in very similar practice. He also has nice Dhamma talks on here under Heartdhamma heartdhamma.love/ I’ve not sat under him but I hear very nice things about Drew Litchy from people I trust. I hear that Sayadaw U Tejaniya, the great meditator, monk and teacher in Burma teaches a somewhat similar practice. Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche the great Tibetan Buddhist meditator, monk and teacher has his Joy of Living / Path of Liberation process based off of Tibetan Buddhist Mahamudra, and though in many external ways it’s quite different, I and others find it also very similar and complementary.

      The journey is going well- my focus has always been more on fostering loving kindness, compassion etc and less on reaching jhanas and beyond. In my view and experience, twim has been the best way to do this so I still feel fortunate that I stumbled into it

    You said that loneliness comes from disconnection with self. I have found that loneliness comes from disconnection with other people. Being alone you are by your “self” not with your “self.” A “self” cannot be together with its “self. They are one unit. Yes, the self has different parts, but they cannot connect to one another in a fulfilling way. And to hell with the idea that we are all one. We are only “one” so far as we do the same things for the same reasons. You eat for the same reason as another. You reproduce for the same reason as another. You rationalize for the same reason as another. The reasons, while possibly a spectrum, and the result of a different cascade of events, are uniform. There is nothing new under the sun. Don’t go too deep because it never ends. One who breaks things apart to discover what that thing is, is not wise, and that person can always break that thing into smaller pieces.

    • @lovinglife5658
      @lovinglife5658 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for sharing your current thoughts hermano. Currently my experience seems to be a bit different; I have found that the more I cultivate a real, accepting, deep, equanimous relationship with myself and with whatever experience I’m in in the moment, the less loneliness I feel. Currently I find great value in being with others and I appreciate it greatly. And also, I don’t currently believe that at the very ultimate level it is necessary, nor do I believe that anything external (including external relationships, which are all ultimately impermanent and passing) can ever fully fulfill. Keep exploring, I’ll see you out there.
