At 4:28 Kees Schouhamer Immink is credited with the invention of Wi-Fi. That is incorrect: according to wikipedia, he is responsible for inventing the CD. That said, Wi-Fi was both invented and marketed in the Netherlands. In 1977 Australian John O'Sullivan, while working in the Netherlands as a radio astronomer, wrote a patent whose principles were much later used for Wi-Fi. That was in 1991, when Vic Hayes, also in the Netherland, but different place (Nieuwegein) and different time worked on turning these principles into a working and affordable product. That was WaveLAN, which later got standardized as Wi-Fi.

A Google search tells me Daniel Gabriel Farhenheid was a German physicist born in Gdansk Poland, lived most of his live in Den Haag Netherlands where he also died. Farhenheid is a very German sounding name, so this makes sense.

Low income family's are struggling here in the Netherlands. I think you have a really skewed immage of the Netherlands. A large portion of the population live paycheck to paycheck here. The gouvernment is trying to tear down the "care state" we have built here and are trying to turn our country into a little America where the rich have everything and the poor none. The Netherlands might seem like a sort of utopia to you but the people who do the hard labour here get a pittance for their efforts while desk-jockeys make the big bucks. Our capitol is carefully being sluised away from the common man. In the last four years we've seen the return of beggars and homeless in the streets. Food banks are a real thing here. Our country is being sucked dry by mismanagement that leads to massive inflation. And while many Dutch people struggle expats get a 30% tax reduction and companies even more. We are in the exact same boat here as America but i think our politicians are better at hiding it from the public. LookI have no problem ofcourse with people moving here and wanting to live here by intergrating and building a life here but the other people that come here to work for a year or two we can do without. Because they are paid for by the common people and not the company nor the gouvernment. I want to apologise for going off a little but we really must stop acting as if everything is fine and dandy here, it's not.
