I can understand why you'd say he's being hypocritical and a dickhead. But you're being too harsh on Giles, the whole drug a slayer at 18 thing, was something that was done long before Giles became a Watcher. It was this messed up tradition, by the council to test a young slayers intellect and planning without her powers, Giles couldn't stop they. And it wasn't something that he did joyfully or unapologetically, it was what his organisation required of him to do, and with no other choice. And given he's sworn his life to be a watcher and obey the council, why should he be blamed? He was raised to be a watcher and loyal to the council from childhood. If it wasn't done by him, it would've been done by someone else. Wesley at that point would've done it in a heart beat and without remorse or apology. Giles who'd developed a love for Buffy, beyond that of a Watcher, actually broke the rules and put his neck on the line to help her. Yes he drugged her, but at the last minute he came clean to her, realised the whole thing was fucked and actually did his best to stop it. Buffy here was choosing to keep Angels existence and return is fucked. It's not that he returned, that's the problem, it's that he returned and she didn't tell anyone and kept him hidden. Yes she was right to worry they'd kill him, given what he did. But concealing his existence was utterly disrespectful on her part. He killed Jenny, injured Willow, helped kill Kendra and nearly ended the world and she doesnt consider to tell them what was going on???? Now that's fucked!!!!!

And as much as I get it, because they share a face, Angel and Angelus ARENT the same person. One isn't even a person. One is literally a demon in a man's body, and Angel has his (yes, literally his from when he was alive) human soul and consciousness. They reiterate that so many times to drive home how tortured Angel is. They're torturing the demon with the man he lives inside (that's more a comic thingy when we meet Angels demon more).

Willow didn’t always respect her friends either as she kissed Xander while in a relationship with Oz, ripped Buffy out of heaven, and put a memory wiping spell on Tara. It’s not like Buffy was the bad friend because they all did messed up shit to each other.

Not really - Glory longed for hell and was cast out into a better place - Buffy longed for heaven and was cast out into a worse place. Then again, from Glory's point of view, hell was a better place - but they still longed to be in opposite places.

Yea after season 5 her only arc was growing her bond greater with buffy

To be honest, I never understood how Buffy dying destroyed the key. I know Dawn was made from Buffy's blood, but she was a separate entity. The key was energy concealed within Dawn, not something that was in Buffy's blood.

@demisaysstuff Oh. I'm even more confused now. If she was still the key, she'd still be in danger from other demonic entities, but they treated her as just an ordinary person afterwards. I'm not being awkward, just confused.

I think in her own way Buffy was saying "I love you" to him. In the past when she said she needed him it was for different reasons. She needed him to do something like give information, protect Joyce, protect Dawn, her friends. This is the first time she saying to him "I just need you here with me." And that's a big thing for Buffy to admit because it's a vulnerability she's usually not too keen to let slip, especially since she's needed other men in her life to stay like Angel or Giles but they still left. She probably knows, like all of us do, Spike wouldn't leave her but she's still telling him, don't leave me. And when Spike asks where Wood fits into the grand scheme of things she doesn't answer with words but you can see in her eyes she's basically saying "He doesn't." The entire season 7 Buffy/Spike relationship was just a huge conversation happening between them without words, at least not until the last few episodes. You can watch their emotions come out through their physical actions around one another the whole season.

Apparently I read rumours in the comics that he does come back to her and they do end up having another go of their relationship but I'm not sure how true that is. Apparently it got pretty healthy too. Which isn't surprising they in their own world fight like a married couple lol and there for each other as well physically and other ways.

@KitsuneAdorable Wesley explicitly said on the Angel series that vampires can’t have children. Whether this means vampires are incapable of reproducing at all the same way humans do, or it means female vampires cannot bear children, remains to be known. But I figured that since soulless vampires are evil, there’s nothing stopping them from having their way with women, and there would be centuries old reports of children born from vampires. For that reason I don’t think Spike can have children with Buffy or anyone. Keep in mind Darla was a special case, as her pregnancy was orchestrated by a fallen Powers That Be member.
