@awesomeabes0 it makes total sense to me! I never thought about the palbox range as a sphere, even finding the top I just thought dome. Now I'm tempted to try an even taller tower, although I'm not sure how the pathing would be affected. I've tried having the palbox 3 levels high long ago, and they struggled. But there's been a lot of work on pathing since then

@AzaleahGames The pathing was garbage till the newest update. I find pals going to a hot spring on the floor below/above as opposed to one that is right next to whatever they are working on. That was annoying to figure out. That was the case for transporting and repairing, too. Other than those issues, I haven't seen too many. I built a few towers that are big enough for alpha pals, too. It takes a long time, but it looks amazing in the distance. I may go live later to do a tour and talk about what I've learned and show off some stuff. I may just incorporate that into an oil rig and dungeon speed run live stream. Depends on my mood.

@@AzaleahGames I think you played it pretty well. It opens up a big question about how booster pals interact within the Arena. Double kelpsea was the play but I wonder if they would have kept boosting bushi even after they dropped out. You had the added exp disadvantage but your pal loadout was prime for a single investment attempt.

@bobnewkirk7003 Yeah, I'm honestly not even sure that the partner skills are even active in the arena. So much isn't, and they don't get xp, and when you leave, they're full health, and everything you used is returned to you. Yeah, that's the first time only one of us got the xp books. I've honestly found it weird how many times we both got a special whatever 😆 Running behind in recording this week's because 7 days 1.0 dropped for console yesterday, plus the fact I was waiting until today to see what the poll verdict was. Still trying to decide on a theme or extra element added. Lol

@bobnewkirk7003 also, out of curiosity, which thumbnail did you see? I'm doing the "thumbnail test" youtube offers, so there are 3 that it shows, and then eventually, it chooses the most popular one. It's great when I can't decide which one I like best 😆

@kimy770 we usually use one lg generator per extractor. I keep at least 2 extra electric pals for breaks, and mine also are nocturnal because those things go all night long. Literally editing a video of one of my little specialized bases with oil right now 😆 Just finished the part about the electricity requirements 😆

You probably have too many Orserks. I run 4 extractors on 2 generators with 2 Artisan/WS/Serious/Noctural 4 star orserks (one assigned to each). So working backwards: 4 star increases the work amount from 5x to 10x so each 4star orserk is worth 2 1-3 star Orserk. Serious (20) + Work Slave (30) + Artisan (50) increase an orserk's work amount by 100%, so each Orserk with passives is worth 2 without. Nocturnal is just more uptime. So a "Wild caught" Orserk is worth 1/4 of a "Perfect" orserk. a power generator only has 3 work slots, so you would need to bump up to an additional generator if you were running 4 extractors and "wild" orserks. If your looking for a stopgap for Breaks, I would upgrade your Helzepher Haulers to Helzepher Lux as they can jump in on occasion.

That's always annoyed me. I really wanted the upgrades to increase the circumference as well. Now I settle for the additional bases, but still......

@@AzaleahGames yeah I've been wanting larger bases for awhile,atleast increase it another 100ft-200ft would be great imo,maybe larger but who knows lol

@@dellcruz yeah, I also hate that it's a circle. It's a little better now that the defensive walls snap and have so many pivot points, but I still think it would be easier if they were square lol

@@AzaleahGames right I agree 💯,it should be a large square imo,about 100sqft or 200/300sqft woulda be great,lots of space to make a monster of a base,right now I'm building upwards but the pals have a difficult time running up them stairs and they won't do their jobs such as mining breeding farming etc.,that's something that needs fixing asap, hopefully they fix it cause right now it's a mess,I literally have to pick up each pal 1 by 1 and drop them off where I need them at,kinda wish that when you're at your base you could pick up at least 6 of them at a time and drop them off where we need them at,makes it easier for all of us,hopefully they read my tweet,I left them at least a couple of these tweets about this and more,so I do hope they use these ideas and make the game so much better you know lol

@@AzaleahGames even with the pal stand I've checked off what I didn't want them to do but it's like they still don't listen,so yeah some fixes are definitely needed,also when I try to assign them at night time you can't unless they're nocturnal,have to wait til day time in order to assign them,and to top it off sometimes it won't let me assign them, it's a mess and hopefully they fix it cause the game is great but can be much greater imo, definitely one of my most played games this year,well over 300hrs already lol

Oh wow, I like that idea! I've built very tall bases in the past when we only had 3 palboxes, and one was usually set aside for skip mining. 50 pal all in one sounds like a great challenge ❤️ I love the decorating aspect. When we started, I saw them as a waste and only did the storage ones. But the more I added to the esthetic, the more we enjoyed the game. It adds something you don't realize you need. I still don't unlock the truly decorative items until I have the necessities unlocked, but I discovered it's important to me to fully enjoy the game. Looking for a skyscraper location now.....

@@AzaleahGames Same, here is the list so far for me: -645,270: back end of SJ island. the whole island is pretty and the views are perfect. -80,192: Boss battle platform, its big enough for a base, perfectly flat, and naturally elevated. 295, 296: The desert is pretty blagh, but some of the plateaus are begging for a superbase. 183,37: the classic mining base always had a really pretty aesthetic. the runs of my old base are still there and it looks good atop the hill. -267,226 it would be a real challenge as its an overlook, but its probably the best spot to look out over the eastern part of the map and the oil rig. -357, -117 is pretty central. good views of both mountains, but not outstanding otherwise. -124,-136: Twilight desert, nice views and more central than the big desert. just a touch low. 111, -319: I see a ton of folks building here. its super flat and you get the red aesthetic. -463, -414: not really keen on the volcano, this is probably the spot, though you will likely have to build up a level with pillars and flatten it out higher up. On that note, Pillars are going to be super powerful for this. if we run out of room we can just drop a pillar down and keep building out. on something like the Twilight Desert it could make the whole build look really steampunk. :D
