My old handbag in 1:12. I purchased Fimo Leather Effect and Fimo Liquid on Amazon. Also, this is not an ADV for Fimo/Staedtler, I'm just showing the products I have used to make this project. Stunning!
👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯❤❤❤❤ veramente perfetti, bravissima!!!!!!!! ❤❤
Hi Cecilia. I'm just about to try this idea myself (after finding a similar hexagonal tool in my garage). When you made the chalk pastel colours, did you just mix them with water or did you use some kind of clear binder? Cheers, Kev.
@@kevsmodellingminute no, just water. The protective varnish I applied afterwards should make sure the colour won't fade away. Good luck with your floor then!
👍💛
Paper tape, or masking tape, the adhesive eventually dries out and falls off. I'm sorry, I don't know what you could use in it's place, but use cloth and glue.
@@TheParkAttendant yes, I should have probably added a bit of glue. The tape serves purely an aesthetic purpose, to cover the edge of the fabric rim inside the lampshade, because it wasn't super straight. It looked a bit more neat with the tape.
This lamp is stunning, thank you for sharing.
Congrats for your beautiful kitchen!!🎉🎉 Abd yes, please show us the other pieces of your doll house!!! Thanks!!😊😊
So cute! You really have a gift for this! 👏👏👏
This lighting system is quite interesting. In what country did you source it? Can you share the name or brand?
@@fredericapanon207 I bought it in Italy many years ago in a specialized shop, I think that the brand was dutch. I don't have the packaging anymore, unfortunately I don't remember the name. But if you Google dollhouse socket you should find them
I love your videos, but the music is very annoying.
@@gillianwiseman3518 choosing music is the part I enjoy the least when editing videos. I would rather not use it at all, but then when I don't talk it feels awkward.
@@CeciliaPMiniatures Try a video without it. I think people will be happier!
@@gillianwiseman3518 I will!
The lamp turned out great. Such talent. The music is fine, its low enough just to be background music. Did you find your lighting system at hobby lobby? I know they used to carry alot of it. Thanks for sharing.
@@agneschrismer9946 thanks! I bought it many years ago in a specialized shop in Italy, but I think the brand was Dutch.
The lamp is awesome! You are so talented. Love watching you create your miniatures.
This turned out beautifully!
This is gorgeous Cecilia, love it, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
I like it that you make miniatures of contemporary furniture! This lamp looks great.
would be nice if you post the lighting system came from.
@@flyingdutchwoman I bought it more than ten years ago in a specialized shop. I don't have the packaging anymore but I think it's from a dutch brand called mini mundus or something like that. I found that similar (maybe the same) items are sold on a website called minimumworld, but I'm sure there are many online shops selling these things. The lightbulb is actually a car light, and I bought it at my local hardware shop. It was way cheaper than your average dollhouse lightbulbs for some reason, even though it's the same thing, i.e. a 12 V mini light bulb
amazing!!! 🤩
It's so pretty inside the lantern That's cool.🌹
Beautiful. I love it
👍👍👏👏👏💯💯💯
Oooh yes! I have looking forward to this since the dollhouse tour video. thank you for this!
Yes, I would enjoy seeing how you interpret the other rooms. Well done and thank you for shar8ngmit with us. J
BRILLIANT!!!
I've never used Fimo Air Drying clay before so I'm quite impressed at how your cut tiles dried flat and didn't curl nor crack as as other air dry clays will usually do. 👍👍
@@elizabeths4371 it's a nice clay. I'm always looking for new types of air drying clays because I have very cold hands and conditioning is very hard for me. This one is very soft right from the start but at the same time once you flatten it remains like that, it doesn't curl. The finish is a bit "papery" so it's not suited for all types of projects though.
It looks incredible!
This is very helpful, thank you. How do you recommend giving them more of a glossy look, like what you might see on a bathroom floor or kitchen backsplash?
@@elizabethworley7073 thanks! Ok, I would suggest a couple of things. First use a clay which has a "ceramic" finish, like polymer clay or an air drying clay such as cold porcelain. This one I used has a "paper finish", opaque and slightly textured, so it's not good to imitate ceramic. And then I would use a high quality gloss varnish (instead of the matt one I used). If the final grout layer does affect the glossy varnish a bit, I would probably touch up each tile again with gloss varnish, without going over the gaps.
@@CeciliaPMiniatures thank you. I've never heard of cold porcelain, so I will look it up.
Your floor has just the right balance of texture & variation for believably. Using the pastel chalks instead of paint is something I can wait to try! Lots of work, but worth it! Cheers, Kev.
@@kevsmodellingminute thanks! I love chalk pastels also because there is no waste. They don't dry out like acrylics, so if you have to stop working for some reason and then get back to it, a bit of water is enough to "revitalize" them, whereas paint will inevitably get wasted if you don't use all of it at once
Amazing mini floor. Thanks for sharing. Hello from New York 👋
@@denisew3917 thank you! Hello from Italy!
Beautiful!
Woah, this looks awesome! So much work but very worth it.
It looks beautiful.
thans for sharing ! the tiles are so realistic!I love it !
This is perfection. I don’t even have plans for a floor like this and I want to do it anyway.
@@kjhaygood thanks! You can also change the colours, I've seen floors with hexagonal tiles like these but white and blue, and arranged in a sort of flower pattern
Complimenti!!!! Looks amazing
@@partlyart grazie!
Beautiful work!🥰
Fabulous. Exactly what I want to use in my Victorian kitchen. Thank you for ths brilliant idea.
@@annietwemlow9967 sounds great in a Victorian kitchen!
Love the tiles! So realistic. I love watching you create your miniatures. Your attention to detail and talent is incredible.
Fantastic! Incredible detail. How long did it take you to create the floor? I'm pretty new to this world, at least attempting to create, and I listened to podcasts too while working on a marble effect tile floor. It's a bit like gardening in that you don't need 100% of your attention to focus, so its a great way to learn while creating! Thank you for sharing your incredible work!
Thank you! I'm not sure, because when recording it takes way longer, I have to check lights, focus, right camera angle...but I'm sure I began on Monday and by Friday I was done. And I work around one hour at night, after dinner😊 It's exactly like gardening, which I also do. Making tikes is like weeding for me (I know it sounds crazy, but I find it calming and oddly satisfying). Good luck with your marble floor!
@@CeciliaPMiniatures I don't think it sounds crazy at all--I agree with you 100%!! Enjoy!
That looks fantastic!
Very cool. You made that look so real.
Stunning so realistic...very well explained. Something I would like to try..thank you ❤❤
Absolutely perfect! These tiles are Gorgeous and I love the variation that you made with the colors.
@@jenpink4298 thank you!
I love the result! But afraid I don't have the patience required...I have, however, also created a tiny witch's cottage in a lantern like yours. 👍🏻
@@francinemiranda8409 I find making floors very relaxing and usually do it while listening to podcasts...so for me it's not a matter of patience, but just having my hands making something while learning new stuff, but I get what you mean!
Totally amazing, the tiles look so realistic. I love the colour variation and texture.
@@gaynortaylor3840 thanks for watching and commenting, it really helps me out as I'm still very new on TH-cam!
Absolutely exquisite 👌 🩷 🧚♀️
As someone who has zero architectural mathematics acumen, I REALLY appreciate your videos. I can follow instructions, build and decorate, so this is the missing piece to me creating my own miniatures. Thank you so much!
@@lolasworldofminis that's great to hear, thank you!
Is baking paper the same as parchment paper?
@@patriciastrong8813 it's the paper you use for baking. I'm not sure parchment paper would be the same thing...it might be though. The important thing is that the paper is slightly oily/greasy, so that ink does not stick to it and can be transferred onto other surfaces.
So beautiful and easy to follow. You are a very good teacher. What brand is your electric file? Do you have an Amazon store?
@@patriciastrong8813 thanks! The electric file I'm using is by Dremel. It's a very basic tool, nothing fancy, just two different speeds. No, I don't have an Amazon store
OMG.....you are such a telented.
adorable!
