@ I was thinking, regarding scale, how logotype necessitates adjustments - whether it be tiny in a sea of other logos or on the side of a two story building all by itself. Some well executed fonts have weights meant for micro use and display which are already optically balanced in their inverse expressions and can be swapped out for different scales without adding fractional stoke widths to each logotype in order to assign balance. It’s not a big deal. You already solved for this. Sorry. I just saw your question.

Hello Al - Thanks for all your feedback! The variations will be generated one column at a time. If you wanted to do a serif generation and then a sans serif generation back to back, you could do that. You would then have the two columns to compare to each other. Font pairing will also be possible. Text can be added to multiple lines, but rotation or arching the fonts will not be possible. Remember, this tool is for making concepts. If you find the right font/mark combo using Logo Package Forge, then you can further refine your selection with the rich set of features and tools that Illustrator offers.

@@LogoPackage Thanks so much for the super fast response. I rarely get a response from others. I will check it out. I played around a bit and saw that there is an ID given to the components for that black version when setting the versions. I just cut and pasted my own grouped black into the subgroup for that specific black ID and then deleted the other/original subgroups. That seems to have worked. I will still see your video.

Any of the following actions will result in your work being lost: - Resetting the extension - Resetting Illustrator - Closing the logo grid document If you exported logos, but forgot AI files, and you had not taken any of the actions above, the extension would be ready for another export without any additional work on your part. You would go to the settings and uncheck every file format but "AI" and then run your export again to the same folder. If you exported logos, but did take any of the actions above, you would need to set all your components again and follow the same steps for exporting only AI files.

Swatch tells you the best Pantone color for the colors you set using the tool. It does not actually create Pantone swatches that can be applied to your artwork.

I always try to balance simplicity with customization. There are many ways to get the color info from Swatch, and there are many ways to make bulk changes (find and replace, etc.) using Illustrator. You can open up the generated PDF in Illustrator and use those other tools to make quick formatting changes. For now, we are airing on the side of simplicity for the extension, but other features on the roadmap may require we grant more customization options. Thanks for the feedback!

That was the hope when I started the project, but deadlines and budget dictated that we release v1 using the browser to generate the PDF. We want to implement a more native solution for future versions.

Hello Kevin - Logo Package Express works with gradient logos except for freeform gradients. Freeform gradients are not, in fact, gradients. They are a live raster effect disguised as a gradient. Yes. Go back to Logo Package Express and export new files to the same folder you originally exported to. Then upload that folder via the Portal extension. You'll be asked if you want to "Replace Logo Files" or "Add Logo Files." Use replace to remove all previous files and upload an entirely new package. Use add to add only the new files.

Hello. This is a tutorial for Illustrator. I can't guarantee that it will work for vinyl cutting software like Onyx. I would ask the person who made the file to send you a different vector format than SVG.

Hello Kenann, I'm sorry you are experiencing issues. Why are you manually changing the document color mode? Logo Package Express changes the document color mode automatically when you switch between web and print exports. Try exporting without manually changing the document color mode and see what your result is. If it doesn't work, please email me at michael@logopackage.com.

This video was fro v2.3, but the latest version is v3.0.7 and incomplete exports sometimes occur with the latest version if you are exporting to dropbox or other cloud syncing services. I believe the issues you are experiencing are due to ungrouping of the generated logo variations. You must not ungroup any generated logo variations as this will break the export for those variations. If you need to modify generated artwork, please do so within the group by double clicking into the group or using the direct selection tool ("A" keyboard shortcut). Hello Cam. I'm sorry that our workaround for Pantone is not as expedient as you would like. We used to be able to do Pantone conversion automatically, but Pantone put an end to that when they removed their libraries from Illustrator. Now it would be illegal for us to do automatic Pantone recoloring. If you find a better way, be sure to let us know.

Hello! Logo Package Express automatically converts your colors from RGB to CMYK and vice versa. When you set a logo, we maintain the original color space. If you set CMYK artwork, the color mode in Logo Package Express will be CMYK. Then when you go to export, print logos will export first because that was your original color space. The same would be true if your artwork were RGB, then web would export first. When it's time to export the other color space, Logo Package Express will change the document color mode. At this point, it's Illustrator's default conversion, so if you have specific numbers you need to hit, then you can edit the global swatches to match the values you want and the artwork colors will be updated before you export.

Hello. You can always just manually recolor the default inverted version so that the white parts are whatever color you need. Just make sure not to ungroup the generated variations while editing. This will break the extension. There is a future feature for creating custom multi-color schemes planned, but I have no timeline for development yet.

Hello Jai. I'm glad you're enjoying Swatch. When you create the color sheet, the only thing that will pop up is a Finder or File Explorer window. Once you choose the folder and press "Open" the PDF exports with no alert. The next step is to go to the location you selected and open the PDF or in Illustrator go to File > Open and then navigate to the PDF. All color values in Swatch are editable. If you like the result, you don't have to edit. Some people don't like seeing a value like 30, 50, 0, 1 so they'll change it to 30, 50, 0, 0. It's just a matter of personal preference :)
