Wow what a palm looking good
Thanks
I saw the Psudopanax crassifolius trunk in the opening seconds, its so identifyable if you know what you are looking for! How old is it? Mine looks a bit bigger and this is the only other UK video where I have seen one!
I have both Psudopanax crassifolius and Psudopanax ferox growing near to each other, ferox has the biggest trunk and is about 20 years old, it did not like the move from my previous garden and is not looking well. Crassifolius was also moved and is doing well, I think it's about 12 years old, I lose track , it was confined to a pot for a number of years so this may have effected its growth somewhat. Great plants to grow and always a conversation starter when people visit the garden.
What a beautiful palm you rehomed.
Thanks, I think it looks great now it's in. 🌴
Same in Cornwall, nothing is growing as it should.
Hopefully we will get some better weather soon ☀
Same here, I'm in Norfolk, shocking weather this year
I don't think I have ever known such a slow start to the summer 🌧
Thanks. I agree that bananas don’t like wet cold in winter
Lets hope the summer weather puts in an appearance soon 🌞
Khu vườn của bạn rất tuyệt vời ,rất vui được nghe bạn chia sẻ với bạn bè 🤝❤.
Thank you 🌴
Hi. Regarding the Fatsia Greenfingers. I was told By a nursery owner that Greenfingers was the name given commercially for a Edward Needham Polycarpa that was put through tissue culture The Needham form is grown from seed so it’s possible for it to have natural variation between plants. Greenfingers Being cloned should all look like the original plant it was Cultured from.
Thanks for the info, I had guessed as much but not had it confirmed. Its a great plant for the garden whichever name you buy it under.
The garden looks great , and thanks for the shout out 👍
Thank you for the great plants 🌴
I would advice growing creeping jenny around your pond get the rocks and stones covered with plants and moss currently it’s a death trap for amphibians that need more moisture. Some form of wood to let animals get out of the pond would be good , painting yogurt on the rocks will encourage moss to establish. , love your garden , hope to see it developed over time .
Your input on the pond is much appreciated, it’s still very new and settling in. Going forward I may well use some of your ideas. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Where the tree ferns grow in Tasmania and Victorian highlands they can get up to 12 feet of rain a year!.. This can be an issue in the UK as even in S Wale's we get about 4 feet of rain.
Wow, thanks for those figures I didn’t realise they got that much rain. No wonder I have to give supplementary watering in Norfolk, that is one of the driest areas of the UK!
It's a bit of a headache isn't it. I've got a mister on mine with a timer, but they don't get much from it, it just helps.
Looking beautiful 😊 could you give me the name of the pond plant with bird of paradise type leaves. Thanks .
Thalia dealbata also known as the Alligator flag quite hardy and can be left in the pond in all but the coldest winters.
@@HeathcroftExoticGarden thanks, it's on my shopping list now 😁
I think this is what i have, alot smaller though 😅 beautiful palm 👌
Thank you I'm really pleased with it.
I would have amended with sand, Perlite and compost.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I decided against taking that approach as I did not want to create a sump effect from the surrounding soil. I guess it all depends on what type of soil you garden on.
Lovely palm for the uk ❤
Thank you
Lovely garden. Thanks for sharing 😊
Glad you enjoyed it.
Nice selection of plants 👍
Thank you!
"Watching your content is like taking a journey into a realm of creativity and beauty. Your videos are more than just visuals; they're a testament to your artistic prowess. Keep weaving your magical storytelling🌟💙
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Planted mine out last year at a similar size to yours. Only took -3 so not really tested. Amazing leaves but like you say the slugs hunt them down. I think a sheltered spot is also key as the leaves do get battered by the wind. Enjoying watching you building your new garden.
Thanks for the info, It will be really interesting to see how it copes with lower temperatures. I'm also enjoying the new garden, space to try new interesting plants and finally plant a few that have languished in pots for far too long at my old garden.
Lovely garden and foliage.. the cute bulldog walking around needs more cameratime 😉
She's usually around whilst I'm filming, I will see what I can do 🐾
@@HeathcroftExoticGarden lots of hugs for that cute bully from another jungle garden lover and bully owner
@@parttimeninja5521 Thanks, they're great dogs, Ruby's eleven and a half now and still full of fun and mischief🐾
Great garden and collection, you must of been growing some of those for a long time.
Thanks, yes some of them are like old friends!
are you going to chop the leafs of your med palm when it’s fully established
I like to leave as many leaves as possible whilst they are still green, as I believe they power the growth of the palm. It was holding leaves nearly down to the soil level before I moved it but due to cutting the roots when I moved it I removed several to help it re-establish.
Great job. Really surprised at the temps it’s faced. It’s a real survivor.
Thanks, this last winter was fairly mild and it has now resumed growth so hopefully it's settling in well 🌴
Cool video, thanks for sharing. Result is nice 👍 Liked & subscribed 😉
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!
Looking good 👍
Thank you.
Majestic palm. Amazing job moving it. I can only dream of having such a plant!
Thanks, It is a wonderful palm, we are so glad we brought it with us🌴
Fantastic indeed
Thanks, hard work but worth it. 🌴
👌👌👌👌
That's princeps is going to look great in a few years. I find the growth is good once in the ground.
Thanks I'm looking forward to watching it grow.
Looks so great 🍀🌴
Thank you
That first palm is stunning. Is it a butia?
Yes Butia capitata (now odorata) I will do full video on it and how I moved it from my old garden soon.
Great job.
Thanks
