@@franksfamily thanks for watching. Bigger rock was not necessary for this driveway. I did this driveway a few years ago and it’s still mint condition is three-quarter dense grade is the best material around for this application.

If you want that to last let it warm up well. Look up "2 stroke cold seize"
@@RJFisherFarms yeah I know all about it but I’ve never warmed up a saw in the summers
@DirtBrute i understand everybody has there own ways but ive seen it happen first hand to a couple guys that bring their saws here to get work done. It especially happens when ppl listen to the "environmental code" and use the 50:1 ratio they want you to use i use 32:1 myself and let them warm up a little and have had excellent luck.
@ so far all the saws I’ve ever had (which I still have my first) the only problem is I go through bars way more then I think I should even with keeping them clean and oiled. My buddy was telling me I need to get a machine grinder/file because I have a dominant right hand, which is causing me to be more aggressive on one side than the other, causing the chain to banana, cut and heats up and warp star bar 🤷♂️
Needs 8 tooth and a skip .

@@truckerron yeah probably but I don’t do enough of it lately
You think it's bad in that truck... now do it in an 86" Studio Sleeper!!
@@truckerron no thanks 🤣
There are a LOT of BRAIN-DEAD people today!!!
It's not really the 4 wheeler's fault. It's the powers that be who could make drivers get better training to get their class C license. But NOOOO... they don't want to do THAT... cause many people may not pass and then you have less people going out to BUY THINGS!! But this goes deep.
@@truckerron I’ve always said the problem is they don’t teach the general public anything about semi trucks in drivers “EDUCATION” but then they send them out to drive around us .
Your suppose to warm it up first..you will ruin it doing that
Why didnt you put a hose in your gas tank.and fix it..the hose must have a hole in it.or your saw needs cleaned out..and its causing it to over heat and boil the gas..
i put a cheap amazon split screen bu camera on the end of my 30t trailer and on the roof of my w it changed my life!
safe to assume you tipin the scale @ 135-140 k with that monster?
@@thurstonvanhowell2974 yes
You guys didn’t plan your route very well, and on a narrow road we always have our pilot escorting the wide load he can get traffic to pull into the wide spots just better control of traffic. I can see why you said ppl have hit your trailer before. Very poor planning all you do is complain about everyone else instead of fixing your own f:ckups.
@@jockey123able guess you didn’t read my pinned comment. Your comment is stupid. Whether I had a pilot car or not. (Which is not required for this load at all) that doesn’t change people cutting in front of us on the highway or not moving out of the way when they clearly see what’s going on. This isn’t a cross country load where you plan witch highways your going to take . It’s a local land clearing operation that is in the small wooded back roads. No amount of planning will change the way the truck fits in this neighborhoods. You absolutely have never driven in the construction industry. They don’t always give you a heads up ahead of time anyways. Everything is normally last minute when you have a load that is covered by the annual permit. It requires no special permits or pilot vehicles and there is no restrictions on which roads I can take. Therefore they are not going to give me any time for “planning my route “.it’s get loaded and follow the operator or gps. On this job the operator was there with the sole purpose to load and unload his machine. Notice how no one was with us on the second machine which actually measures wider. All the people that have hit the trailer in the past have all been found at fault and cited by the police. Both machines safely delivered with no damage or energy to anyone or thing . The only fuck up I see I did was take the time to answer your stupid comment
If you're worried about burning through, you can just heat a spot ~the size of a nickel to white hot at one end of the bearing and drag the spot to the other end. You should be able to drive it out with a punch after thoroughly cooling it.
What I do on a tight corner like this is hang close to the right and go past the point where you would turn about ten or fifteen feet, now reverse with your steering wheel hard to the right (jackknife) now go forward into your left hand turn and keep to the right and the trailer should make it around the corner
Thanks for taking time to film, explain, and post!

The easiest way I've found to get shims in place with new pins is to use the old pin from the other side and work the old pin out with the new pin, shimming as you pass through the joints.

"Do we have everything to do this job?" --- "Well, it's not a Caterpillar shop, and we don't have everything we want, but we do have what we need." This is how a lot of us get it done and I'm glad you posted this video. Hopefully, it'll inspire other guys to jump in on their own projects like this. As I was watching you fight with those shims, I was thinking to myself... "Dude needs a port-a-power to ease that pressure just a few thou." and then BAM !! it appears... Great job and fun video. I live up here in the Colorado mountains. I'm going to buy a skid steer and do driveways during my retirement. I also noticed that no one up here uses gravel in their driveways.
