Big fan of the coastal footpath and Dartmoor walks which I tend to mix with a bike ride. Another mystical place you might like is Wistmans Wood's near Two Bridges. We are lucky to have so much of a wide variety of scenery in quite a small geographic area. The Hairy Hands/Palms are the least of your worries. Watch out for those suicidal sheep that leap out from behind bushes and walls aiming to take out innocent bikers. Another great video and Thanks for the upload.
Haha thank you so much!! I know Wiseman's wood. My father is from Princetown. I always slow right down if I think there's deer near ... usually you can see the sheep. But the deer just suddenly appear...a friend of a friend got killed last year by a deer leaping out onto his bike. I asked how the deer was...and everyone tutted at me! I should do another Dartmoor one soon I think... before it rains for ever!
I'd love to see one, oh, we saw an escaped wallaby up there about 3 years ago, that was quite a psychedelic moment! And thank you!! And yes it's glorious!

Many childhood memories of Badgers Holt & camping 😊That must be around that area somewhere, it definitely looks familiar. Beautiful countryside,wonderful roads & what good weather you have; we still have lots of frost & in some areas snow ❄️ your jacket looks like mine which I gave to my cat for his bed. He passed away in April 2023 , you wearing that jacket has brought back beautiful memories of him, I will get the jacket out of the shed & get it cleaned. It’s funny how different little things can bring back memories 🤔

Loving your videos. I really enjoy Dartmoor too. I'm currently on a cb125r but will be going for my full license in the very near future so I can ride my cbr600 f3. This video has inspired me to take a ride up to Dartmoor as I live only 40 Minutes away. 😊

And The Warren Inn is very popular for bikers with great views across the mooe and a fire that hasn't been put out for a couple of hundred years (or something!!). The old prison at Lydford is a hell hole,being found guilty only required a plausible accusation. The gorge there is worth a visit and not overly peopled. The gallows at the junction of Sidmouth and Honiton road Exeter is the site for the last witch hung in England. It's great they don't do that anymore but medication is not much better. Can't imagine how awful it must be to be neurotypical. I have a 1998 Harley low rider 1450,can't get anything bigger in the hallway. Happy days from the last passage house in east Devon.
There's so much Dartmoor history...all of it interesting! I really need to do more videos about it. And over-peopled.... that's always a problem isn't it! Maybe you need to widen your hallway! I'm thinking how I can insulate the mad bike shed that I built!!

I intended on going to the moor last week to take some pics of of my bike but the road to Moretonhampstead was shut. Being a bit fatalistic i took it as an omen and buggered off elsewhere!
You should go over to the edge of the moor near Yelverton, stop just before the cattle grid, on a good day you can see right down the county into Cornwall, another great view is from Kitt Hill if you know it.

Shocking isn't it. 🤔 These old folk lore tales are usually based upon true events, so I guess the guy crashed his his car because he had a "Hairy Palm" incident and couldn't see where he was going. 😎 Too much "Hairy Palming" can ruin one's eyesight apparently. 😨But perhaps that's a completely different folk legend. Sophia, you've made a whole new legend of Dartmoor within this video. People will be talking about this for centuries to come. "The Legend of Sophia's ditch"..🌞 There will indeed be a small part of Dartmoor that will forever be yours. I was over the Yorkshire moors last year at a place called butter tubs pass it was that high riding along it I was going dizzy amazing roads. Look up some videos of butter tubs
It's a brilliant name!! I was riding through Yosemite last year and it started to get so insanely high and narrow and deathly sheer drops....I was feeling quite sick (I hate heights) then I thought...I don't need to do this, it's horrible. So I turned around and suddenly I could breathe again!!

I've just grown my hair long over the Winter, I look like Ross Noble with a beard. But no one said "Your hair gets knotted to F on a ride!" If someone said that I might not have bothered, it could all come off for Charity soon though but I'm reluctant coz I just renewed my Passport and it ain't gonna look hee-haw like me! 😂😂Thanks everyone!
