Project Honda S2000 Cusco carbon fiber rear bar install

Project Honda S2000 Cusco carbon fiber rear bar install
Do you think it's possible to put M5 carbon ceramic brakes on the X3 M comp?
such a clean build the rims are amazing
My ocd, the center piece not completely covering the surface below..painted part being visible, bothers me. Also, these parts are called cooling plates. What or how do they provide cooling? I remember the old days, there weee center cooling plates which had a gap below or on top that supposedly directed air over the top of the radiator. This looks more like “cool” plates vs cooling.
Good points, I agree!
Great review. Cheers 🍻
Thank you, more to come!
Very insightful, pretty appalled that they would actually want/require the customer to drill just to enlarge a hole in order to install a cosmetic piece... For a company like APR you'd think they could come up with more elegant solutions like yours. It's also a tad disappointing that they didn't have the foresight to make the pieces possibly fit better with aftermarket parts, considering most if not all potential customers for an engine bay shroud probably have some mods especially an intake. I hope they come up with a revised design in the future, because it's really beautiful but such a shame. I would've definitely gotten it.
Totally agree
@@carsavant maybe send them feedback, could get a new iteration produced
@@davidd7175will do! I’ve known them for many years. We had our APR sponsored widebody Sti on the cover of modified magazine way back in 2010.
Looks ridiculous
Thanks, lol
Where did you bought the push start button bro?
There are many vendors but I bought this one from one of the vendors on eBay.
Are you interested in selling the calipers you took off?
Possibly for around $750
Anyone have the link for the rear diffuser??
Hello, "Car Savant" I saw your channel and saw that in your channel have some problems, not many. For these problems your channel is not growing. If you can solve these problems, Your channel will grow like a storm. Do you want to know these problem? If you Want to know, I can only tell to you. Can I tell here or email?
Do you still have the stock wheels?
Yes, took off the stock comp wheels with ps4s tires at about 5 miles.
@ I have an X4M and wondering if you would be interested in selling the stock wheels if you still have them.
@@frankkhan3024thanks, but I’m holding on to them for now.
link? price?
It’s from Tony Chumakov on the facebook x3m group. Cost was around $1400.
Beautiful work, love brooklyn grey !!!! Powerstop will dust 60-70% less compared to stock and will still provide oem-like bite even at very cold temps , no noise is also a great bonus !
Thanks, and yes, really loving the setup so far!
This is awesome thinking of doing the same on my X4M could I ask what pads your running please?
Thanks, Power Stop carbon ceramic
Do you have a video showing How you replace it
Sorry, sold the car years ago.
Cool, but not $1800 worth of cool.
Whats a good price for these?
I used to have #850. I sold it back in 2015 to buy a Jeep Wrangler.
Nice! Just a side note that the Mugen Si’s were not individually numbered.
Very nice
1800 is daylight robbery… lol. Im paying $400 max for that
Omg it looks terrible after put on😭 im sorry. To each their own
Hey just curious I called bmw today concerning changing the steering wheel on my 2014 X3 and they said any other wheel wouldn’t work which doesn’t make sense I know once it’s an F25 steering wheel it should work .. just want some clarification because I feel like I’m going crazy over this
They will always tell you that but it will work and is plug and play.
1800 you can get the full CF hood from multiple different suppliers
That’s true
Fool you got played.
You can more turbo noises tho!
1800 dollars and you have to clear coat it yourself is wild lol, I'm not hating I know spoon is a great brand but they are definitely taking advantage of the newness of the FL5, you can buy a FK8 Alu rad for 400 dollars less than this and will give you actual temp improvements.
Great video! On my Wish List. Please keep the FL5 content coming. Cheers 🍻
Thanks! 👍
gotta know whats the head unit setup looks so clean
Sucking hot air from the firewall where the exhaust headers are located. Overall it is a nice build.
It was away from the header and separated by heat shielding. It ran very consistently on the Dyno.
Get back the stock wiper blades and just change the inserts when needed. Thank me later 💯💯💯
I have white plug works when i connect to obd and when i forget to remove it will drian the battery any solution?
Not sure on that one, we sold this car a couple years ago.
Which one has better street race performance, Mugen Si, or the normal Si?
There is no difference in power numbers between the Si and Mugen Si.
@carsavant Ohhhh so they're basically the same but the body kit. Thank you sir
@@Aurora_Twilight in addition to the different body styling, it comes with a different exhaust, suspension, wheels and a couple other things.
@carsavant Ohh, I saw Mugen Si on Facebook in Texas, and he wants it for $10K. I'm not sure if I should get the Si or Mugen Si
@@Aurora_Twilight anytime you can get a Mugen Si for $10k, go for it. They are worth more and will keep better value.
Any update? Thanks
Will post an update soon, thanks!

What year of fog lights

I got the wheels from a totaled 1 of those 1000. They look so good on my polished gunmetal gray Fa5.
Galaxy Grey 😊
@@yukonstriker1703Mine is color code NH737-M4 which is polished metal metallic. But yea galaxy grey looks similar but not the same.
What head unit are you sporting there and how was installation? Thanks
Nevermind, I see now that it's some sort of Teyes.
Rented an F-type in Hawaii a few weeks ago and could barely find a stretch to go over 65 :( Can’t imagine what I’d do with my 996tt.
There are a few limited stretches on the H1 and H2 but you’re right, not too many opportunities to really open it up on Oahu.
No links to anything? Specifically the wheel well liner.
OEM Honda from the local dealer
What a gem
What is the harness code?
It was custom made. Seller is on eBay.
Nice one bro 👍
Thanks! 👍
@@carsavant You're welcome brother, that's why we are here to support each other, bless you, happy day.
was the Mugen SI a limited thing , would i be able to find one today? these are beautiful and id love to purchase one by next year
There were only 1000 made in 2008. They do become available from time to time but they are getting more and more rare.
There's one for sale in northern California for about 8500 right now @@carsavant
How much are you selling it for? I’m very interested.
Thanks for the interest, it has sold.
Where did you buy the Mugen rear rotors?
Through Honda
have been looking for it for a long time and want to buy it now, do you know where to buy it?
@@huyvunhat8782 you can buy through your local Honda dealer. You will need a Mugen VIN.
@@carsavant Thank you, I am currently in Vietnam, my car is Civic Si version, Honda Vietnam cannot order spare parts for this version.
@@carsavantcan you still get the mugen shocks and springs or are they discontinued?
Just bought one today. Hope it's better than than the chemical guys one I had
What wheel stud conversion kit are u running? 🔥
Sorry can’t remember off hand
changing of battery doesnt reset some features??
Some things may reset, but it’s plug and play. We’ve done a few Aventador batteries.
Can you help out with the 12v and ground wire? Which wires did you attach them to on the brown plug?
Can u do inside review of the AWE track exhaust. I’m thinking about getting that on my c63 but I don’t want it to be too loud
The hole in the back of the seat is for accessory attachments.
great review ,but please tell people how Audi will rape you on repairs and maintenance...its eye watering....just a heads up.
