For posterity and narcissism.
Of Human Bondage
Melodramatic in the best way.
Bette Davis' British accent is not distracting at all.
Based on the novel by W. Somerset Maugham.

Fabulosa película!!! Cuántos recuerdos!❤
and she wanted the alien to get out, so Ripley shot the alien, and he went into the air float or something and then he died
bro, this movie scared me, but I was about to cry, cause I thought that Josie was about to die
Seems that some parts have been slipped
❤❤
Espero ka pelicula completa e Español o subtitulada!!!
This seems really edgy for an old black and white movie 😭
Crazy to think it wasnt till 1972 that someone patented wheels on luggage.
Ich will die wunderbare Welt zurück, eine Welt in der wir noch leben konnten wie wie es wollten. Die fantastische, wunderschöne Doris Day, Still, eleganz, was waren das für Zeiten. Es wird Zeit dass die Menschheit sich darauf besinnt.
"This old thing?" Dang sister played us all
I like that face. I LIKE George Bailey.
A skilful re-edit that compresses the movie nicely. I always thought this should be done with Star Trek The Motion Picture but it works very well with The Birds.
Next movie.. Minks.
🤣😂🤣😂👍
To be completely honest, its hard to take their relationship serious knowing his sexual orientation.
I travelled all the way from NZ to Savannah in the 1990s because of the novel. Amazingly, the first person I met, after I checked into a hotel near the riverside, was John Berendt, at the hotel's early evening cocktail party!!!!! We talked for half an hour, he told me he was from NY, asked me what had brought me to Savannah? I replied it was a book, and described it to him. Only later did I discover that I had been talking with the writer. Lovely human being.
My Mother would bring us into her bedroom and we would watch the Birds on her black and white TV as a "special" movie night . After I got over my fear of birds in our trees I figured out this was one of the greatest movies ever!!😅
i’m 19 and my mum introduced me to this movie bc it’s one of her favs and it’s honestly one of the best movies i have ever watched it’s sooo funny
Terrific, Great movie, Rock & Doris Simply The Best
Bic anyone 🎶😎🍕💚💙
Only time I question my sexuality dil❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤..BRILLIANT
Rock was great at comedy ❤
Grease lightning
❤❤❤
What a fun fun movie this is. I first watched this with my father when I was just a small boy. They really knew how to make movies back then. I just love this one! Doris Day was such an angel. Rock was such a handsome and charming man. Love Tony Randall. And of course the great Thelma Ritter. They just don't make movies like this anymore.
Inolvidable única y bella película ! Magnífica interpretación de Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon y la inolvidable Marilyn Monroe ! Divertidísima comedia .❤
Very good movie 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Sem tradução para o português não tem como assistir🙄
The birds. Woe😮
And you said she couldn't sing. I guess you never heard her sing or you're hearing impaired
Great book by John Berendt. Great movie. Love the eccentric characters, allegedly all real. The Lady Chablis was terrific. RIP Best quote "two tears in a bucket, motherf*& ket" 😂😂. I've liked all Kevin Spacey movies, so many wonderful roles. Terrific actor. Unfortunately his dark past is a turn off. I hate people who target kids. There went his career. The movie is worth the watching. Eastwood did a great job with this unusual plot.
When I played RDR2 and was told that the npc couple Mr. (Samson) Black and Mr. (Wendell) White were a reference to a movie, realizing it was this specific classic was a no-brainer; though, the difference is - is that Rockstar implied Samson and Wendell becoming a thing, where as with John/"Joker" and Noah you can argue they become just friends, despite there kind of being a queer subtext anyway. This movie was absolutely revolutionary, not only in the story it told, but also in the acting industry itself, too! Apparently this film was the very first to show a white actor and a black actor share a smoke together in one fully shot scene with no cuts - by that I mean there was a thing back in the early stages of acting where if two actors/actresses of different race were to share something (like a smoke or a bottle) together, the film would cut out the part of them passin' it between each other so as not to actively show them physically sharing it. It was not only a race thing as to why they would cut those parts out, but it was also the intimacy (of *any* kind) between two races that film industries wouldn't want to show in their films either, and this movie went against the grain, not only with that one particular scene, but with our two protagonists chained up and surviving together/needing each other *in order to* survive as well.
Merci beaucoup j aime ce film
Merci baucoup ce film😅
“I did not smell your candy “!
Veronica Cartwright would go on to deliver excellent performances in films like Invasion of the Body Snatchers and most notably Alien. Really underrated "scream queen" type actress who has been in iconic films.
Also in "The witches of Eastwick"
@@alessandrostanziola6067 Yep almost forgot about that one! She's also been a guest on many notable TV shows (and was a television actress as a child pre: The Birds along with her sister Angela).
This and Martin Ritt's Edge of the City -1958 - with Sidney and John Cassavettes...POWERFUL message movies that taught LOVE is colorblind. Blackband white works of art.
Just watched it again. A brave and heartbreaking yet hopeful work of art.Still profoundly moving - still powerful and revelant after 60 years. Nominated for 9 Academy Awards, won only 2. Filled with beautiful moments that taught me young that skin color does NOT matter. Only laugh out loud scene was when Tony is lying in Sidney's arms and says " You're gonna make a fine old lady someday, Cully."
Great movie, my number 3
Before there was Harvey Weinstein, there was Alfred Hitchcock. He ruined her career because she wouldn't submit to him. She was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
I wish there was more publicity about this, it makes me sick everytime I hear someone praise Hitchcock. 😖
Why isn't this movie on U Tube free or Rear Window or Physco ?
They still make a lot of money being sold.
@user-jeffjack Off course they do its not rocket science. Lol 😂 Same thing with the James Cagney movies some one else told me to ask U Tube 🤔
@@LeeZeidel-s1h I know.
It’s on Netflix now
Rock HUDSON & James Garner & Clark Gable HOTTEST TALENTED MEN OF HOLLYWEIRD ❤😍😍😍.
I love this film❤😂
Easy solution. Get a few cats.
Ironic that Rock Hudson and Tony Randall were the love interests in this movie. Doris Day was irrelevant.
ETCHED IN STONE. BOW TO JESUS
Lumpy Rutherfords dad at 2:14.
unless one suffers from some sort of latent ornithophobia this movie is meaningless and bordering on hilarious, except of course from the spectacular pictures
You had to be there.
I can vouch for this movie being uniquely terrifying as a kid. And it was disturbing to practically everyone when it first came out. It is an absolute classic.
I remember reading the book to this sometime during school
