@@ofallaxes3982 oh yeah. I got into it around Covid in April 2020 with RE2 remake and OG RE4. Got myself very well accustomed to OG RE4, so I was very pleasantly surprised by this remake. There’s actually quite a bit more I like over the original now (mechanically and control wise, it’s my favourite in that aspect)

@@metalftw9652 I got into RE back in 96’ with the first one lol. The original RE2 is my favorite and always will be. So once I found out they were remaking it, it was like a dream come true lol. I was never really big into RE4 but then I got the remake and was super into that. They did a great job with it. While we don’t need another remake, I would like to see a modernized RE remake with the RE Engine

@@Justin_Holland eh, I wouldn’t say it’s their best album (it’s still in my bottom 5, but probably near the top of the bottom 5. More just goes to show not how bad the album is, but how amazing the other albums are, so still very solid). However, It has some of my favourite Bodom songs in Blooddrunk, One Day You Will Cry, Smile Pretty For The Devil, Tie My Rope and Done With Everything Die For Nothing

Ya tastes differ. I would say I Worship Chaos is a better album than Halo. I would say they peaked w Blooddrunk, got stale, and that the lineup changes injected new energy into the last two albums. As for Hatebreeder, I'll never understand the reverence for it. To me, Follow the Reaper is where it really started coming together

@@Justin_Holland there’s always at least one of my favourite songs from each. The Nail, Hatebreeder, Children of Decadence, Bodom Beach Terror (tied with Chokehold), Next in line, One Day you will cry, Not my funeral, All Twisted, Widdershins and Hexed being some of my favourites (at least one song off of each is incredible)

I use the modern metal amp (looks similar to a mesa boogie amp), gain on about 8, bass on 10, Mids on 4, treble on 9-10, reverb on 4, depth off, speed on about 6, presence on 7, Master on 5 (I let the monitor do most of it) and output on 7-8. I also use a wah up to about 7 (that’s what gets the sharper chug sound) and a high drive treble boost on default (so about 6-7) but with the switch on treble. For the solo in this song and some Cannibal songs I throw in a phase tripper with its settings in a y shape for good measure. That’s pretty much what I’m working with

I know the feeling. Kind of good though that only 2 albums have C# and Drop B, so at least there’s a mostly consistent tuning throughout majority of the albums (and some of their best stuff)

@@Thijscube Oh man, I haven’t heard much Sinergy, but what I have heard I love. The ones I’ve heard are Pulsation and Passage to the fourth world. Will try and do Pulsation, might give Passage to the fourth world a go (may be a little tricky though)

This song needed redoing with a somewhat beefier tone.

Really wanted to get it as heavy sounding as I could.

I haven’t done the full song before. Some parts might be a challenge, but I could give that a go at some point

I actually can’t fully remember than, I’ve changed them up quite a bit over time. I think in this vid, it was 13-62 D’addarios, but now I use 7 string 10-49/52 (depending) and a 68 or 70 for low string (depends how much lower I want to tune afterwards). Oh and the tuning is A# standard

It’s definitely the forgotten song but still fits with the album. I think compared, the key of the song at times can feel a bit odd (mainly in the riff I showed off. I’m also not a fan of the videos that show ‘best riffs’ and it’s usually the exact same ones all the time, I like to mix up and throw some lesser known riffs (and even different riff choices from the same songs)

It was definitely an oddball song at first (there was a fair bit of Hexed that felt different, much stronger 80’s vibe mixed with that modern Melodeath mix)
