Went for a ride in the Elk Valley Area. The son-in-law with the dual sport motorcycle went along as well. He's getting better at riding, but all the riding over the rocks wore him out, on this ride of 42 miles. We had great weather and a great day!! I hope you enjoy the video!!

Went for a ride to see if the mountains are open to wheeled vehicles yet. Lots of snow has melted in 2 weeks, but some areas still have to much snow. And since I didn't feel like getting stuck (maybe) & having to do some digging, I just turned around & enjoyed some more riding. Hope you enjoy the video ... Music from Pixabay.com ...

After 5 1/2 months of letting my back rest after surgery, I went for my first ride. It was an easy day of riding because I didn't want to "Stress" the back at all yet. One of my son-in-laws went with me on his motorcycle ... he didn't take it as easy as I did. He said he had a great time, but he's gonna be sore. Hope you enjoy the video and THANKS For Watch'in!!

The storms came thru our area and put down a few inches to a couple feet of snow. Since I don't have the tracks on my Can-Am (and probably will not be putting them on this season), I decided to drive up to check it out. And because of an upcoming surgery, this is also the end of my snow season ... sigh ... Hope you enjoy the video ....

They closed the gate across the highway where I ride in the winter, so I went for a ride to check out the snow. It was an AWESOME DAY!! Storms are coming in however & are suppose to drop a ton of snow. Went for a ride on Halloween and had A Great Day!! Saw lots of deer, which the GoPro does not pick up real well. Saw a couple of lost sheep ... however, I did NOT see a Little Bo Peep .... WHAT?? Decided I would convert my Can-Am Outlander XT into an XMR model. I've always like the looks of the XMR model ATV's, but since I live in a desert with no real deep mud or deep water to play in and didn't figure I needed 30 inch tires. , I never bought one. Super good clarity for something that was originally filmed in 720p (I'm guessing). - - - What kind of camera were you using back then? Man, you're just full of questions ain't ya!?!? 🤣😂🤣😂 ... I think the camera I was using was the Drift 720 & I also believe that yes, I was filming in 720p. Long story about the riding partner, but he decided he was tired of going to the same area ll the time, met a woman & changed & quit riding. Haven't seen or heard from him in about 10 yrs. Oh Well ......... Glad you enjoyed the video Q & THANKS for check'in it out!! 👍👍

Looked like an awesome day of riding! Never get tired of that scenery and love the anti-tank rocket on the front rack of your quad - hahaha! - - - Surprised to see so much sticky mud up on those mountain roads at the beginning of the video. Usually they're all rock and gravel. - - - 4:10 - Yeah buddy, the story of Old Ephraim is well known even 2,000 miles away up here in Canada. Legendary Grizz! Didn't they do a movie about him? Or maybe a documentary? - - - You guys need a set of comms😉 - - - "Craig"? Robert must be your covert name - hahaha! 🤣😂🤣😂 ... You crack me up Q ... But I doubt he'll trade his ride in for a quad. His wife (my daughter) wants one thou, so there's still hope !! 🤣🤣 Oh the mud ... that area up there SUCKS if the ground is wet, because the dirt just turns to this really sticky, big clods, of mud. I hate it. It had rained the night before up there, which I didn't know, cause it hadn't rained at the house, & as you saw, the dirt turned to that sticky mud. We parked for about an hour & a half, had a snack & let the wind & sun do it's job, & the ground dried out real nice. But I've driven the 67 miles to the staging area, & only rode the atv about a quarter mile up the stinking muddy road, turned around & went home, it's that bad. Way cool you've heard of Old Ephraim even up where you roam. Craig is my middle name. I had to start using my first name years back because of a cousin, also with the name Craig & what he was doing was affecting my personal life. OH, I am trying to talk this son-in-law into getting a track kit for his motorcycle. And the son-in-law who does have a track kit for his motorcycle is working on him too!! 😅😅 Glad you enjoyed the video Q and as always, THANK YOU for stopp'in in to check it out!! 👍👍

Yup, gonna be snow up there for a little while yet. But it sure is turning warm here. Around 35c or warmer ... I really do not like the heat ... PRAY FOR SNOW!! The 360 cameras are something different for sure. Still trying to see if I like it as much as a 2D camera, but that's me. WOW ... 2 weeks in BC ... that had to be a blast!! Good ride Gunny! Enjoyed watching the adventure with your riding buddy. Helmet communicators might come in handy. Some of those muddy sections were tricky for the bike but he did a good job of getting through. Those “jagged” looking mountains made for awesome scenery! Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Helmet communicators might be handy ... but he likes to stop often & chat, so I doubt I would ever get any. And once he goes back to work, he won't be riding much. Such is life. Trade the tracks for some pontoons Gunny. That definitely didn’t look fun on a motorcycle. But he seemed to enjoy it. I like 4 wheels. Happy riding buddy and try to stay cool…this heat needs to go but it looks like another scorcher summer is starting.

The moose is such a graceful and majestic looking animal. I adore them very much. While these animals become used to their own surroundings, nature can sometimes be somewhat tough on these creatures.

You have to remember, these aren't Alaskan Moose. These are Shiras Moose, and they are the smallest of the moose family. These are actually dang good sized moose for Utah.

At least you have snow. Our trail system(shared) near me just shut down for the snowmobile guys can take over for their season. As of now we don't have any snow but the riding has been good up to Nov 30 and your right no bugs. Now I'll have to trailer about 1 hour to winter ride on some groomed trails , looking forward to that . Enjoy the winter riding season .
Yup, & we're suppose to get between 2 & 3 ft this weekend. Haven't put my tracks on yet because I'm waiting to hear what the back doctor wants to do (On Monday). So I hope I get to enjoy the winter riding season. Your winter ride travel time is about what I have to do no what time of the season. I usually drive between 1 1/2 to 2 hrs to do a day ride. The staging area where I was parked is at 7200 ft & the high point of the pass is between 9000 & 9500 ft, depending on where you are in the pass.
