I don't think there has been better male vocalist than him his versatility is only matched by Lata and on putting emotions and feel to the songs he has no successor. Unlike Kishore da who sang mostly for heroes and his voice mostly suits on heroes Rafi sahab voice suits every character on screen that is reason why his sheer number of superhit songs are picturised on side actors . The meaning is a little lost in translation

"Barbaad muhabat ki dua saath liye ja" a beautiful ghazal composed by Madan Mohan for film Laila Majnu. Generally in Pakistani music it is believed that ghazal's genre has been ruined by Bollywood except the work done by late Master Madan Mohan sahib and this one is truly classic & amazing. You are right about the song "Teri ankhon ke siwa duniya mein" . this line was picked from this very very famous poem "Mujhse pehli si muhabat mere mehboob na maang" written by Faiz Ahmad Faiz and it was sung by Noor Jahan. This Iconic poem and subsequent song is symbolically one of the great artistic effort highlighting the effect of surrounding miseries & despair on lovers. The song ultimately became a symbolic voice against continued tyranny & dictatorship in Pakistan. Each sentence in the poem is a kind of iconic verse and have been consumed by several Urdu poets later on. The song "Aj hun aaye baalma" by Rafi + Suman Kalyanpur, although sounds very classical and young singers might practice it to train themselves. But the fact I love more about it is that it's a playback genius product as it's a very funny situation in the film. Despite it being a technically great song, and all the taans and mudkhiyan makes it feel more funny while watching. This is an amazingly creative song.
