Should have Made it Right the First Time
This is a modification to the Metal Bender I made in this video: th-cam.com/video/-cAa5NNSpps/w-d-xo.html Unfortunately I didn’t do a very good job, as although it worked great it flexed far too much as it didn’t clamp itself to the bench well enough. Hopefully you will find the process interesting, let me know in the comments. 🙂👍

Installing an Oak Slab Worktop Bespoke one of a kind counter top. Short Version

Installing a Heavy Oak Slab Wortop. Bespoke one of a kind counter top. Seasoned Oak Slab transformation into a counter worktop for an en-suite bathroom. The hardest part of this job was carrying the slab the 50 metres from the workshop to the bathroom numerous times while initially sizing to fit within the tiles. Didn’t want to remove to much material in one go. It was well worth the effort in ...
The Best Block Paving - Start to Finish - Short Version

Laying a block paving pathway start to finish around a corner, cutting around a drain and manholes, pointing edges. Very pleased with the outcome of this project, looked great. Enjoyable learning curve as I have a 150 metres of driveway to lay next so this was a good starter project. Thank you for visiting my channel and watching. excellent, inspiring, just need to do it now, well done for just showing visuals on brilliant job well done.
Thank you very much Ian. I guess you have your own blocks to lay. Hope I’ve helped a little. 🙂👍
Just what the Dr. ordered. 😁 Now it should serve you trouble free fro a long time.
😁 should have done this the first time around. 👍

Caprichoso parabéns 😊
Thank you. 🙂👍
Please see the link on the video for the full intricate pathway block paving. 🙂👍
Que serviço lindo e caprichado! Deus o abençoe! 🙌
Thank you so much. I’m very pleased you like it. 🙂👍
진짜 꼼꼼히 하시네요. 최고👍 이십니다.
Thank you. 🙂👍
Fantastic!!!👍👍👍 Just watching this now on 4th nov 2024 I think you should patent this idea 💡 Great tool for planting bulbs in garden 🪴 beds Well done 👍 Cheers 🍻 Australia 🇦🇺 👍👍👍🪴🪴🪴👍👍👍🍻🍻🍻
Thank you very much. Not a bad idea I should patent it, although I’m sure it’s been done before 🙂👍
Trabalho perfeito!
Thank you so much. 🙂👍
👋👍
Thank you 🙂👍
Wow ❤❤❤
Thank you Vanessa, I’m so pleased you like it. Wow is praise indeed. 🙂👍
Verdict: No complaints. Looks great. You did a nice job!
I feel like my science teacher has just marked my work 😁. I am very grateful for your comment though. Thank you very much. 🙂👍
Every 2 minutes, Nice!
Great job very nice! Also that you cut stones and cement around obstacles. I would have just gone to fill with gravel. Respect
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. I did get carried away, but also enjoyed the process. 🙂👍
Really nice job. A lot of stuff to work around. It looks great.
Thank you very much. Yeah it was a bit fiddly 😁 but enjoyable to do. Especially with how it turned. 🙂👍
How do you measure if there are curves in the walkway?
Hi, well if you have a curved walkway you really need to cement in an edging then lay all your blocks in the centre of the path as near to the edging as they will go. You will the have to cut all the remaining blocks to match up to the edging. There should be plenty of videos on TH-cam showing the process. I hope this helps. 🙂👍
BEAUTIFUL 😍
Thank you so much. 🙂👍
Maybe a couple of hooks under bench to keep the flex down and make it a little sturdier.
You are absolutely right it does. I have actually already modified it by welding on two pieces of flat bar which go under the bench and catch the two securing bolts. Makes it much better. 🙂👍
@@revivalworkshop Hope it works better. Looks very serviceable either way
@@willardlentz3044 Thank you Willard, I did video the modification so I might do a follow up video. 🙂👍
@@revivalworkshop Always try to be helpful to makers. I will watch the video soon
@@willardlentz3044 Hi Willard, I have made a modification to stop the flexing. If you are interested you can find it here: th-cam.com/video/WzG-26T-Q3w/w-d-xo.html Works much better now 🙂
Bravo 👏👏👏
Very tidy indeed.😊
Thank you very much. 🙂👍
Nice neat job that .....👍😁 Pleasant background noise too 😅
Thank you, I’m glad you like it. Just watch a bit of it to remind me of the sounds. 😁
It’s just a block paved alley I fell asleep watching this video
It must be a very relaxing watch 😁 hope you enjoyed it up to the point you fell asleep 🙂👍
It’s really interesting to see. Good to see how an expert does it. Thank you.😊
Nice work there 👏🏼
Thank you 🙂👍
very cool 🙂
Thanks, I’m pleased you like it. 🙂👍
Absoloutley fantastic job...
Thank you so much. I’m very pleased how it turned out.
Needs a weed barrier.
Yeah I’m sure it will end up being a problem. Thing is if I’d put a weed barrier below the blocks weeds will still grow. Might be best with a setting sand between the blocks. Hope you enjoyed watching. 🙂👍
nice
Thank you 👍🙂
Superb workmanship
Thank you so much, not sure it’s superb but I am very pleased with it. 🙂👍
Looks good but why no cement, dry or wet, underneath on the main path? Plus using dry kiled sand will not stop weeds growing in between. Either a dry 5-1 sand-cement mix or even better, sand and lime mix. Weeds dont like lime.
Hi, there is no need for any cement underneath, a captive sand base is very solid. You are correct it won’t stop weeds and a great idea using lime mix, although I do want to be able to easily lift any blocks if the need arises. Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed it. 🙂👍
Really wonderful work, and great quality TH-cam video: peaceful music, no b*llocks, just very fine work, step by step. 👏🏻
Thank you very much, I really appreciate your kind words 🙂👍
love the colour
Thank you Charlene, they do look nice I’m very pleased with the look. 🙂👍
Beautifully done! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much. 🙂👍

Thank you, I’m very pleased you like it. 🙂👍
Beautiful job!
Thank very much. 🙂👍
What a fantastic job you did , this looks beautiful !
Thank you so much I’m very pleased you like it. I’m chuffed with how it turn out and I very much enjoyed the process. 🙂👍
Anyone know what these blocks are called? Thanks
I bought these second hand, but I believe they are Marshall’s Tegula block pavers. Not sure of the colour though. Hope that helps. 🙂👍
@@revivalworkshop perfect thank you.
Nice clean watchable video, I dare say you’ll change the boarder bricks at some time
Thanks I’m very pleased you enjoyed it. The boarder bricks (used to be a gravel path) have been there for 20 years or so and they go with the house. So I don’t have any plan to change them, just repair whenever needed. 🙂👍
Lovely job! Great cuts! Love the raised brick edging!
Thank you, I laid the raised brick edging about 15 years ago as a border to the garden and a then gravel path. I liked them so decided to keep them. Very pleased you liked it. 🙂👍
It looks like a nice makeover!
Thank you very much. I was very pleased with how it turned out. 🙂👍
Hey mate, good effort especially considering the limited tools you had 👍
Thanks that’s appreciated, I was chuffed as it’s the first time doing any block paving. Just checked your channel you have completed some nice projects. I’m going to have good look at them as I have a driveway to lay next, over 150 m, so I will appreciate some tips from your videos. 🙂👍
@@revivalworkshop well that’s even more impressive 🙌 yeah there’s a video on block paving there, hope it helps. Anything specific just ask 👍
Thanks again. I will do 👍🙂
Very impressive
Thank you, I very pleased you liked it. 🙂👍
Stupendous - those curved cuts - mind-boggling. Beautiful work - fabulous job.
Thank you so much, that is praise indeed. 🙂👍

Thank you I’m very pleased you like it 🙂👍
❤ عمل متقن وجميل ❤🎉
Thank you for your kind words 🙂👍
what hammer was that? Doesn't seems to be a soft face plastic one. Nice job though
Thank you. No it’s not a plastic hammer, just a regular engineering one. These particular blocks are very hard and at zero risk of breaking. 🙂👍
That's fantastic work... great instructional video as well...
Thank you Charles. Much appreciated. 🙂👍
