He seems absolutely wonderful compared to Eric. If you don't know who I'm referring to. Type in, Eric the legend, then you'll know
So long, hope the next isn't a year....... 😮😢
I love how she was waving constantly throughout the video. Very sweet.
Looks exactly like my best parrot friend that tragically died 1 year ago on my last day of school. He was my bestest friend
Like the waving
These parrots looked like jewel from Rio.
Hi love your content, could you please make a video on how you trained your scarlet macaw 😁
Hi. Is this channel still going please ? I’m interested to watch your videos but there’s been no activity and I’m wondering what happened to the birds. Thank you
❤❤❤
Soooo wunderschön 🥰 papageien müssen einfach fliegen und können. Sie haben es so schön bei dir 🥰
That is a huge birb 2:43 i would be scared to get bit 😲
WHAT A LIFE! I have 7, over 45 years I've had 40 between Hawaii, Ca, & Puerto Rico
I didn't know these birds Even existed. That beak is like a macaws. I still have a scar on my finger when my bird didn't want to come out of the lemon tree .
Thanks
What training treat do you use? I use pistachios but they too big and take a while to eat. Also I’m pretty sure they are not the healthiest for parrots so I need a new training treat.
Love it :)
Imagine keeping this social, majestic, flying bird as an indoor pet. Selfish.
My scarlet is very badly plucked very jealous when around other.people. what can I do about her stress
I am glad this bird is getting the care he needs and you educate people about his species. You are also in an area possibly VIC by looks of things that is very conducive to his health and well-being and I saw Aviaries close by as well. I don’t recommend Corellas as pets as people are not aware of their needs and there is nothing more sad than to see these birds getting sick because they are someone’s pet. I have seen too many of these poor birds someone has smuggled overseas on TH-cam and they look sick and don’t live long. That is horrible. Unless it is a rescue bird no has any business keeping these very intelligent and social birds as pets. Mating pairs have very strong and loving bonds and these birds are best enjoyed in the wild.
Green wings are also a darker red, while the scarlet is a reddish-orange, just like their name implies
I have a rescue cockatoo l am trying very hard it's because the last owner had her in a small cage plus hardly did anything with her but l am trying
How’s it going? I’m having the same issue.
You look good with parrots, but that evil bred dog.... No normal nose, disguisting
It's interesting because my eclectus parrot will answer me in context on cue in the shower or the window, but only if I'm not facing him. And I never did capturing to get him to say things in context or on cue, he just started doing it on his own. I would say things over and over to him while looking into his eyes and watching them "pin". He seemed really interested, but only wants to practice or repeat things when he's alone or not facing anyone. I don't know how to get him to do it when he's facing us. When he's on his own outside I'll hear him speak in context on his own though. He'll see a bird and say "hi bird!" or he'll look up and see a vulture and say "what's that? BIG bird! wow". If I ask "what's a doggy say?", he'll say "Woof woof". If I ask are you a turkey, he'll gobble and so on. But he just won't say anything to our faces, we have to have our backs to him for some odd reason, like he's shy. The only exception is in the morning when we pull up his cage cover, he'll yell peekaboo at us to be funny. I've treated him for it but it seems to be the only time he wants to do it lol.
My female eclectus was a closet speaker (would talk when we were not directly interacting) so I clicked trained her first for other tricks. Like touch the stick, hear a click then get a treat. Wave, hear the click then get a treat. Once she learned treats come right before a treat I then moved on to holding the clicker at times I new she would talk. I would click then run over with a treat. Because she already understood the concept of the clicker she began understanding the treat I was bringing after talking was because she talked because the click captured the exact moment she said something. Just running over with a treat when not in training mode can make them not correlate the talking got them it which is why the clicker helps a lot. Once she got the idea I then started getting closer and closer. Now she will have full conversations with me while on my hand or shoulder. If your bird is already clicker trained to understand if they do a cool trick they hear a click and then a treat is coming just go strait to holding the clicker and a handful of treats at times when they naturally talk. Good luck. My girl now has over 300 word/phrases and can have full conversations with anyone!
Well he's already clicker trained to fetch, roll over, fly, potty, play basketball, bring be tissues, etc. I have clicked when he yells words randomly, but it's hard to always have a clicker or treat in hand. Especially since he most wants to talk in the shower lol. But I'll try to bring it in there and see what happens! I'd love to see a video of your female talking. @@lilangelfarm174
I had a parrot who died September the 1st
What ever happened to coco? I haven’t seen any new videos with her. Your initial progress was amazing and she seems like you two bonded quickly. I rescued a 10 year old green wing macaw 3 weeks ago and we are taken it much slower as I know very little about her past. Everyday is a new adventure and we are learning a little more about one another each interaction. I hope one day we too will have strong lasting bond like the both of you.
She is so beautiful! How precious!
What are you rewarding her with
Do u think Scarlets are lovable & If I purchase one I would like it to go to small children at schools . Is this possible with a Scarlet?
Thank you for sharing your beautiful birds,iv learned so much watching you, keep up your incredible work 🙏 would love to see more x
Let her go. Let her live free!
Admits the bird is male and then proceeds to call him her👎
Short billed corella
Interesting, Gordon for sure is a long billed.
That was really impressive! Great job working so much with her!
Sorry, but this means nothing for 50% of Amazons, which aren’t motivated by food. I can have his favorite food in the world, and he doesn’t care at all about food when interacting with me. And he’s not a big eater to begin with, but maintains ideal weight.
Hello! It’s about understanding the science behind achieving the motivation, creating the drive for their favourite foods. You are correct in saying it doesn’t come naturally to 50% however it can be achieved in 100%.
My Amazon doesn’t copy the sound I make
How old, and what kind of Amazon?
I have a blue fronted Amazon and it’s only 10 weeks old and could you give me a tutorial on how to train my Amazon
While my CAG will announce at dusk 'What time is it?' because all the birds get their bedtime snacks before they go to sleep, and then when I come into the room, if all the other birds aren't in their cages waiting, he will say, 'Everybody in the cage!' until they all go. So they will all be ready when I bring the snacks around. BUT..... He will not say 'It's time to go to sleep' or 'goodnight' until HE'S ready to go to sleep! Which is conveniently after he gets done eating his snacks.
Promo-SM 😈
